Butterfly Crossing [Multiverse RP]

In the entirety of existence which we know as everything, everywhere,and everywhen, there exists an infinite number of realities. Some with slight changes such as the inhabitants being gender swapped from the "norm", and some with massive changes i.e. a Transformers plane in which Megatron Prime is the leader of the Autobots.

Unknown to most, however, is that there are beings which act as living bridges between these planes of existence. The descendants of The Great Butterfly, creator of all, each make their home in these planes, connecting it to another. They take the appearance of small, blue butterflies only to hide this fact.

In one of these universes, a man known as Shima, a humanoid version of Alice's Cheshire Cat, has imprisoned the butterfly of his realm, Absalom, and used its powers to form a great army across the entire multiverse. Shima has waited for an opportune moment to throw his great plans into action, and that time is soon upon us.

Unbeknownst to Shima, however, Absalom has sent warning to his father of this threat. The Great Butterfly is unable to do anything himself due to an oath of not tampering with plane-affairs he took long ago, but he now searches for those worthy to serve him. It is up to you, heroes, to take the call. Will you be the ones to save all of existence?

Alright, there's the back story I've planned for this immense RPG. Now all you guys have to do is pick your characters and we can get started! Our opening post will be us awakening in the "Butterfly Garden", simply to avoid any confusion and whatnot.

My Character

Name: Alphonse Elric

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Universe Variant: [Variant of the 03 anime universe] In this Fullmetal Alchemist universe, Edward's entire body was lost in the attempt to bring back their mother, and Al lost both his arms.

Appearance: Looks as he did in Conqueror of Shambala, except with two automail arms.

Back Story: Unable to perform alchemy without his limbs, Al had no means of bringing his brother back, but was quickly found by Winry Rockbell. The girl's grandmother replaced Alphonse's missing limbs with automail. To everyone's surprise the child was still able to perform alchemy!

Once Roy Mustang and Riza Hawkeye received word of this, they quickly went to the Rockbell house to retrieve the boy. Such an intelligent young man would make an excellent State Alchemist, and, much to their pleasure, the child agreed to take the exam. Not for himself or them, but in memory of his brother.

[From that point, things play out nearly the same, only Ed is out of the picture, and Al is now the Fullmetal Alchemist. Al is snatched up by The Great Butterfly before anything with Dante can take place.]

Personality: Hotheaded and quick to rush into things, Al has problems with thinking things through if he's been angered or if he let's emotions take control. When kept calm, however, his true genius shows through, having the intelligence equivalent to that of even the most brilliant of college professors.

• Name: Officer Speedor
• Age: Unknown, but mental age is comparable to a 30-35 year old human
• Gender: Male
• Universe Variant: Beast Wars; what if the Darksyde had been apprehended by Maximal forces before entering a transwarp portal?
• Appearance: More or less like this◊, although with some slight changes, such as a less-youthful looking face and a 'goatee'.
• Back Story: Speedor, a young Maximal cadet, was stationed aboard Optimus Primal's ship, the Axalon, when it was sent on a sudden chase across space, to capture Megatron's commandeered ship, known as the Darksyde. However, before it could open a transwarp portal, it was crippled by a passing asteroid, allowing the crew of the Axalon to capture and apprehend the Predacon criminals. For his actions, Speedor was given many commendations and climbed the ranks of the Maximals quickly, eventually becoming a high-ranking security officer and captain of his own ship, the Axalon II.
• Personality: Since his adventures as a young and hotheaded cadet, Speedor has matured quite a bit, and although he can still be somewhat rash and impulsive, he is a good leader and a wise commander. However, sometimes he feels that he isn't truly deserving of his impressive titles.

I'm interested, though the only alternate versions of any characters I want to play are either gender swaps or alternate circumstances of birth.

It may take me a while to think of something better.

• Name: Starscream
• Age: A long time.
• Gender: Neither, really. More male.
• Universe Variant: Transformers Prime. What if Megatron actually died in the explosion of the space bridge and Starscream actually became Lord of the Decepticons?
• Appearance: No changes to his appearance form this.◊
• Back Story: Not much different from the actual Starscream until Megatron's death. Instead of finding out that Megatron lives, he just continued leading. In addition, knock out is never called in to help with Megatron. This also leads to Optimus's death at the hands of the disease. Now, with both Optimus and Megatron dead, Starrscream is able to acquire the energon deposit under the arctic. With all the new power, and a lack of Dark Energon, Starscream never bothers with the dead Skyquake. With Megatron gone, Starscream calls in Decepticon troops to save Breakdown, and, with their new found power from the energon, they easily destroy the MECH base, and take Silas captive, killing his men. With MECH out of the way, Arachnid is never able to capture Jack's mom, and never gains her helicopter form. Jack's mom never finds out about the Transformers. This leads to Starscream sending a better fighter to retrieve the polarity gauntlet in addition to Breakdown, Knock Out. The tow of them easily capture Arachnid, and then Arcee (who comes only with Jack, as the Autobots can't afford to waste resources on a scouting mission). With Arcee captive, the Autobots mount up for a rescue op. As the Decepticons fight the remaining Autobots, Arachnid breaks free, and kills Arcee. Arachnid then joins the fight, attacking both sides. With the revelation that Arachnid killed Arcee, Bulkhead attacks Arachnid blindly, and gets killed, but wounds Arachnid enough that Bumblebee is able to take her out. In the confusion, Starscream kills Ratchet. Bumblebee barely escapes, but is unable to use the ground bridge. Bumblebee goes into hiding as Starscream reveals his presence to the world, and, with the help of Silas, who Starscream declares Governor of the Decepticon Colony of Earth, the Decepticons take over Earth. Bumblebee leads a group of human freedom fighters rebelling against the Decepticon rule, but the Decepticon's bring the Space Bridge back up, and are able to bring in more troops. With Earth as a base of operation, Starscream is able to start taking other worlds for the Decepticons. His victory is complete.
• Personality: Exactly the same as in the show.

Starscream, however... I actually forgot to mention that I only wanted good characters in this. Unless you're planning for him to make a huge Heel–Face Turn in-game, I don't think it'll work.

Hmm. Would a mostly Chaotic Neutral character be alright, then?

I would have chosen V, but I'm afraid I can't do him justice.

I feel like using a wrestler duo though, but I can only categorize them as being neutral. But they sometimes help the "good guy" wrestlers IIRC with their "boss".

• Name: Revan
• Age: 27 – Born 3,983 B.B.Y.
• Gender: Male
• Universe Variant: Variant of the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic game series; various changes due to the nature of the game.
• Appearance: A man with long, black hair flowing over his back shoulders. His skin is light and his eyes are a bright blue, unless tainted by the Dark Side. Standing six feet tall and weighing one-hundred seventy pounds, he sports a muscular build – dotted with blaster burns and sword gashes not completely healed by kolto. Adorned with robes of earthen tones and a deep brown cloak; all of simple origin and design. The only oddity is a pair of silver cylinders hanging by a loop on his belt; his lightsabers.
• Back Story: Revan is a Jedi Knight of the Galactic Republic. At the age of twenty he forsook the Jedi Order and rallied the Jedi Crusaders to aid the ailing Republic in the Mandalorian Wars. By all accounts, it was his intervention that allowed to the Republic to push back and defeat the Mandalorians. After the disastrous battle of Malachor V where the war was ended, Revan and his partner Malak left known space to search for the remaining Mandalorians. During this time he found himself on Dromund Kaas, the homeworld of the lost Sith Empire. There, they were enlisted into the service of the Sith Emperor and began a campaign against the Republic they once protected. During this war Revan was killed. His apprentice and life-long friend Malak, turned against him during a battle with a group of Jedi. His mind was shattered and his memories lost… for a time. He was thrust into the war he started as a foot-soldier with an altered memory and quickly rejoined the fray of important events. After saving the life of Bastila, the Jedi who fought against him, and saved him as of Malaks betrayal, he was taken to Dantooine. From there he journeyed across the galaxy collecting his memories and information regarding the secret location of the Star Forge. During his battle with Malak and three of Dark Jedi Disciples, Revan was called upon by the butterflies.
• Personality: Revan is calm and stoic, fighting with precision and emotionless ferocity. Once a savior, conqueror, hero, villain; Revans past is checkered. Always calm, but known for changing motivations and his unmatched strategic mind. While his memories are still lost and only returning at a weakened pace, he still holds on to those made since his awakening on the Endar Spire. His battle-brothers Carth, Zaalbar, and Canderous, his surrogate-daughter Mission, his droids T3-M4 and HK-47, his fellow Jedi Juhani, and his mentor-figure Jolee; all hold special places in his heart and all demand his services of duty and leadership. However, his hearts most conflicted subject is his love, Bastila.

Veeeery interesting...

• Name: Walter C. Dornez
• Age: 69 (he looks like a teenager though)
• Gender: Male
• Universe Variant: A Hellsing universe where Walter put his own plans into motion early due to accidentally being shot by Jan Valentine in the Valentine Bros raid.
• Appearance: Looks just like his vampire form◊, except he's in his usual butler clothing◊.
• Back Story: After being shot in the chest by Jan Valentine during said vampire's raid on the palace, Walter almost died. He abandoned his grudge on Alucard, and instead, once the Doktor turned him into a vampire (successfully) he took vengeance upon them, killing many, bringing down their blimp, and joining with Hellsing once more, where he continued working until the present, mostly as a butler nowadays.
• Personality: Very calm most of the time, but as an artificial vampire, he still has a fair bit of bloodlust now and then.

kage: Walter is accepted. Also, I love you forever for choosing a Hellsing character.

• Age: Late 20s
• Gender: Male
• Universe Variant: He defected from the Trident Corporation to ARCAM after helping them save the world from being destroyed due to the use of OOPArts.
• Appearance: Here. He's got two scars.◊
• Back Story: Same thing as seen in the manga, except that after "ambiguously" heading back to Trident, he defects to ARCAM Corporation.
• Personality: He's got no problem conducting black ops in order to "save" the world from being destroyed from OOPArt usage after his defection. While he's an honorable man, Iwao is willing to conduct dirty tactics if there is no other choice.

Obligatory MSPA character, go!

• Name: Gamzee Makara
• Age: 6 solar sweeps
  ^{Equivalent to 13 human years}
• Gender: Male
• Universe Variant: Homestuck. In this variant, Gamzee was born a blue blood. The other members of his group had similar changes in social standing.
• Appearance: A lanky, grey skinned boy, eyes constantly half open. Two large horns jut out of his head through a tangled mass of black hair, red at the base and yellow at the tip. He wears a sky blue shirt and black pants, along with a black vest with a blue Capricorn symbol on the right side.
• Back Story: Raised by a monstrous arachnid Lusus, Gamzee learned at an early age to take risks. He would frequently approach his sleeping custodian, wake it up, then see how long it would take him to get away. His Lusus' monstrous appetite offered an excellent opportunity for such gambling, as Gamzee would play dice with a few unsuspecting trolls, leading the losers back to his hive to be eaten by the enormous spider. Eventually, he learned to enjoy such practices and even constructed a pseudo-religion around the concept of chance. At the age of six sweeps, he joined the Red Team for his reality's version of Sgrub and will eventually fulfill his role as the Rogue of Doom. The butterflies spirited him away shortly after he entered the first gate in the Land of Wheels and Iron.
• Personality: Gamzee is a gambler, through and through. He prefers to live for the moment, making all of his decisions with a simple role of the dice. He's about as laid back as his mainline counterpart and swears just as often.

Bindle, Gamzee is accepted. Quite ironic that you should use an MSPA character, considering that I'm playing through Homestuck for the first time myself...

Also, I would've recommended Rogue of Doom as his title in the character listings, rather than Homestuck Troll. But that's okay.

Be warned though, I like my openings to be rather precise and descriptive, but know that it is only for your convenience, players! Who would I be to leave you with nothing to work with, hmm?
