I'm excited for it. I've had the original PSP for many years, and it has given me lots of entertainment value over the years. Hopefully the Vita will follow up on that value somehow.

Although I wish there's a way to import UM Ds...

[up] Sigh. I'll just keep playing PSP games on... the PSP, then.

Totally getting a Vita for Blaz Blue and Persona 4, by the way.

Estimated shipping time: 2-4 weeks.

[up][up]The only UMD PSP game I have now is Dissidia Duodecim, so I don't mind this.

I'm confused. How does the UMD rebuy thing work if the game isn't downloadable? Is it just not available?

Most likely. So still no Birth by Sleep or Crisis Core if you only have a Vita.

[up][up]On that note, why the hell hasnt Crisis Core and Birth By Sleep been released on the PSN yet?

I know Nomura says that for BBS its mainly because of (surprisingly not Disney related) copyright issues but still...

So, it just isn't backward compatible, then. Sounds like the PSP Go all over again.

Thankfully, I have a very "special" PSP that can store UMD-only games on the memory card anyway. I think I'll stick with that.

^It's a step above the PSP Go, as it will actually have improved hardware and be its own system, rather than being the same system, but with capabilities removed for no good reason.

Well, I might have been interested in the Canada version, but since the US version requires you to get the one with 3G provided by the lovely AT&T, I'll pass until my birthday...if anything I want for it's out by then.

I know Nomura says that for BBS its mainly because of (surprisingly not Disney related) copyright issues but still...

Actually, he never said why it isn't on PSN; he said "it's difficult because of a reason I cannot say" and suggested that they were still thinking about how to resolve that issue (in February of this year). It's possible that they still want to do that, especially due to the lack of backwards compatibility otherwise.

[up] I don't have the UM Ds now. I'm just saying that if I wanted to buy them so I could take advantage of this I still wouldn't be able to since I lack a PSP.

It would be easier to just buy the Ps P games online and not get the UMD's.

[up] Not all PSP games are available online though. Or does this only work for online games in the first place? If that's the case then screw this plan.[lol]
