Oh, good call. I never made that connection.
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."Since when do vegans eat fried chicken?
Um, uh, OH MY GOD.
I gotta say, out of all the episodes thus far, this one probably had the best cinematography.

"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."Dammit Walt, you couldn't keep your big mouth shut for two fucking seconds.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Unfortunately, that was totally in-character for him. It didn't feel contrived. Walt's pride is a bitch, isn't it?
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."Anyone noticed the title game that Vince Gilligan could be playing this season? First episode's Box Cutter. The next is Thirty-Eight Snub. We've now graduated to the Shotgun.
Think we'll see a Bazooka?
This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet.Season finale name: "Tank" >:O
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."What does Thirty-Eight Snub mean? Google only brings up the episode itself.
DumboIt refers to a .38 Caliber snub-nosed revolver, the weapon Walt purchased from the "black-market" weapon salesman.
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."Jesse annoying Mike until he cracks is the greatest Jesse moment thus far!
First that episode was silly because "I am the danger!", then it great because of the dollar bill scene, then it was depressing because Skyler had a point about Walt fucking up everything.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. At first (last seasons) I wanted to punch Skyler in the face because she always bitched around. Now I want to punch Walt because he became an arrogant narcisst and Skyler settles into the role of Only Sane Man.
This just in: I want to register my fists as lethal weapons.
Also, that scene with the digging was pretty hilarious.
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."I've never understood the hatred for Skyler. I've always found her a really sympathetic character. Can someone explain this to me?
Many people find Stepford Smiler characters kind of creepy, and Skylar did begin as one.
Oh, dammit. That episode ended way too soon.
Great episode, by the way.
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."That episode was great. So many wonderful Jessie scenes.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Anyone here see http://bettercallsaul.com ?
I finally got caught up to the show.
I really hope some gets killed with ricin soon. This has got to be one of the most aggravating unfired Chekhov's Gun s in TV history.
Ricin?
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."That castor bean poison.
1. They first make it when they try to kill Tuco. That plan was foiled by his uncle. 2. Jesse tries to kill the two dealers with ricin-laced burgers. That doesn't work because (IIRC) the dealers don't show up (that or Wendy was too chicken to give it to them) 3. Now Jesse has the ricin tab hidden in his "lucky" cigarette.
Someone needs to explain to me the point of that flashback. Meanwhile I shall gush over the rest of the episode.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. Its kind of like Gus' origin story, I suppose.
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."It's to explain why Gus doesn't particularly like the Mexican cartel.
This season really hasn't been good to Walt, has it? His awesome "never lose control of your life" speech to a fellow patient just shows how little his words are backed up by his actions. If Walt moves on up in this season, it may be despite his actions rather than because of them.

He's pretty much the weakest link in the operation by now. He doesn't think things ahead, he doesn't really cover his ass, he doesn't get along with his boss, and he keeps expecting others to do his dirty work. All he has going for him now is making meth.

I think Hank is really close to figuring it out and that on some level he already knows. Once the trauma of his shooting and the loss of his career starts to hurt less, I think he's going to put the pieces together really easily. Right now he's holding back a lot. On a subconscious level I don't think he's stopped searching for Heisenberg, which is what his obsession with rocks is about. His base desire to continue his work to fight crystal meth trafficking has culminated in an obsession with literal crystals.
