Sadly Cecil is practically already canon to KH, and it's only a matter of time before Star Wars is too.
So they'll both be eventually portrayed as chumps to wank KH's OCs, per usual.
#IceBearForPresidentAu contraire. From ze Desth Battle wiki.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).
Also, Birth by Sleep in particular borrows a lot of plot elements from Revenge of the Sith, so it's not like the Palpatine/Xehanort comparisons are that unfounded either.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.
When was that ever true for Palpatine? He's pretty much always been a sociopathic monster, he was just hiding it before (and partially during) the time of the Empire.

I'unno. Copied and pasted from the DB wiki.
Though with how convoluted the Legends and now the Disney EU's are, I wouldn't be surprised.
Sith are Jedi that want to be evil, right? Heck Dooku was good once, Anakin was, and Kylo Ren was too. Wouldn't surprise me if Palpatine was a jedi in some Legebds story.
Dang now I have to look into thid. Be funny if Sheev really was just an evil NEET with superpowers.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).I wouldn't say Palpatine was always a good good guy, but before he became a Sith he was just a dude who liked street racing
Yeah Palpatine was deeply evil from a very young age.
I missed the part where that's my problem. Before he was a Sith he was a spoiled rich kid who hated his dad and had already killed people due to reckless driving.
Sith aren't exactly Jedi that want to be evil so much as a separate ideology but they do recruit a lot from the ranks of radicalized Jedi.
Kinda saves time.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIn theory Sith aren't evil so much as just a different ideology from Jedi. Which makes sense considering how the Sith Order sprung off from Jedi who chafed at the Jedi Order's strict adherence to stoicism.
In practice the Sith's ideology of entitlement to one's own passions made it easy for weak willed to pervert it to "Be crazy all day 'erry day". So much so that, while Dark Jedi can be and are a dime a dozen, "Light Sith" are effectively an oxymoron in both canons.
#IceBearForPresidentWait so has there been a Sith that didn't go insane in the membrane? Insane in the brain?
Any Sith that didn't smoke sheev everyday?

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Count Dooku is the only one I can think of. He was mostly against the Jedi because of political reasons, not because of the typical Sith "Light Side Bad" mentality.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy. He was so upset that the Sith killed his former apprentice Qui Gon that he became a Sith
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI’ve recently read and caught up with Record of Ragnarok, and it is a very cool series that I would like to see on the show. While also having to acknowledge that I’m not sure most of them are super great fits.
It’s been said before, but these characters really end up suffering from a lack of material, given that most of them have one big fight and some backstory that’s shown during that fight (often including other fights, but generally being very quick and/or skipped over entirely). Occasionally they’ll get another notable feat during that backstory (such as Lu Bu splitting the sky), but that’s it. It also means that within that one singular fight, their entire arsenals and sets of abilities are shown off, so thats all there is to pull from.
Granted, I’m sure they CAN work, and it’s not like there aren’t some other characters like that who are commonly requested (Boros only shows up for a little bit and basically only has his fight against Saitama to pull from) so I could still see it happening. But they’d be hurting for a lot to talk about. “In his battle against Zeus, Adam did X. In that same battle, he also accomplished Y. He even used his super eyes to let him do Z against Zeus!”
That said, Lu Bu and Jack The Ripper apparently have their own spin-offs, which I haven’t read, that probably gives them specifically more to pull from material wise. Besides them, Adam, Zeus, the Buddha and maaaaybe Nikola Tesla would be the next most interesting/likely to use. Probably Loki and Odin too, whenever their matches come.
All of this is a long-winded way of asking what Record of Ragnarok matches would be cool to see.
Has anyone suggested a Thor battle royale before?
"I just need one of you to come here to give your life to the sun god. It will be for the monkey city's glory."Which versions of Thor would be used?
Marvel Thor, Myth Thor, God of War Thor, i dunno is there a Fate Thor, Trial of the Hulk Thor?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersFor Record of Ragnarok, Adam's the main one with matches - Jin Mori, Asura, Hazbin Hotel Adam, probably a few more...
Now that I think about it...if they did use a Record of Ragnarok character would the team also lump in the IRL historical counterparts with them to make up for the lack of material, or would that not work? Like, Raiden Tameemon in RoR doesn't have many feats. Pull from his IRL history and you could find a hefty bit of them.
EDIT: Well...thinking on it it definitely wouldn't work because Heracles, the mythological Heracles, was on Death Battle and we kinda know how nuts he could be.

I don’t think they’d composite actual FEATS from mythology (especially since in Record of Ragnarok, historical and mythological stories are often done more in Broad Strokes than any attempt to be accurate), though they could compare and contrast the stories of them for the sake of a discussion point.

Adam vs Adam from Hazbin Hotel.
Buddha should fight somebody, I don't know who. Internet migjt get whiny about a depiction of Buddha fighting in a deathmatch.
I want Zeus to fight but his matchups are dull and uninteresting.
Sasaki Kojiro vs the Fake Sasaki Kojiro from Fate, boom, done.
Lu Bu lost in Round 1 and I hate that he got a spin-off.
Jack the Ripper is another who has material but I, just, hate these depictions of these two more than anything.
Raiden Tenezemon-god bless you looks cool and is slightly better than Lu Bu. His main ability is being a wrestler though, not abke to use 100 percent of his full strength. Meh.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).@Bocaj: Don't forget MegaTen Thor!
Curious as to all your thoughts. Who do you think would win between Shulk and She-Ra? (To elaborate, I am talking about She-Ra from the Netflix series by Dreamworks)
Sure, why not?
