With the Kodak deal, there is some legitimate ground for it as the company had its own chemical production lines (for developing film, but still) - but where they went haywire with this shit is backdoor crony capitalism, and the executives reaped the rewards in stock benefits.
Well whichever executives dumped their stock did because Kodak took a MASSIVE dive in value over this.

Yeah, Trump often says strange things, but I really don't see where he is going with the "Biden is going to destroy Christianity" thing. It seems out of nowhere even for Trump.

The thing to understand is that Trump doesn't have much oratorical skill beyond mud-slinging and insults.
Which isn't to say its ineffective but he's failed to create a good Biden attack.
In Kentucky and West Virginia it was non-stop repeat of Hillary Clinton saying, "We're going to put a lot of coal miners out of business!"

Trump does have oratorial skills on some sort, I think trevor said in daily show that trump kinda talk like a comedy host: he make some comparation, imitation, he is funny in a incredible crass and vulgar way and at time he look like a living meme.
the moment he need to get serious it fail because trump cant really get behind anything for much time, the debate were a good surprie of that.

Yeah, the poor coal miners, slaves to the company grindstone to ruin their own bodies and pollute our air. I do feel for them given how crappy their situation is, but to glorify that occupation for political points is so disgusting that I can barely stomach it.

Coal mining is symbolic of the working man in a way that's difficult to explain to outsiders and sadly also subverted from its actual triumphs. Its one of the few remaining unionized jobs with benefits that people don't realize have all been stripped from them.
Also, the coal companies are all now diversified and better called "natural gas" companies. It's just they keep a few of coal mines open for PR purposes (and most of those have died out under Trump too).
Coal mining being used to prop up coal mine BOSSES is a bit like General Lee being celebrated by West Virginians.

That's the thing. Nobody asked the miners if they wanted to be used as political props, but that was happening to them long before Hillary marched in and declared the emperor to be naked.
Who makes a better prop than someone you've convinced not only to like it but to take offense at anyone suggesting they shouldn't?

Apparently there was an active shooter outside the White House during Trump's press briefing.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.

The American Civil Liberties Union on Monday called for the dissolution of the Department of Homeland Security, calling it a “fail[ed] experiment” that has become a “badge of shame” under President Trump.
“Nearly 20 years of abuse, waste, and corruption demonstrate the failure of the DHS experiment. Many knew DHS to be an ineffective superagency, but President Trump has converted DHS into our government’s most notable badge of shame,” the organization said in a series of tweets Monday.

That's what they hope would happen,in reality the DHS might slowly pull itself back together and return to the same state as before,same goes for shrinking it's budget,you'd have to be extra vigilant that it doesn't get it's old budget back through certain channels

Honestly, I've been thinking that's been a good idea for a while. Homeland Security is a relatively new institution that emerged in my lifetime, it clearly doesn't offer anything particularly essential.

DHS emerged as a solution to a problem that was very real in the pre-9/11 days: all the various security agencies refusing to share information, or doing so inefficiently. Investigations found that there was more than enough data to have stopped the hijackers before they ever got on a plane, but because the letter agencies didn't talk to each other, it was never put together into a single picture.
On paper, it was a good idea, but in practice, the post-9/11 clampdowns on civil liberty (PATRIOT Act, internments, etc.) provided an opportunity for all of that to get concentrated in the new agency. Rather than oversee and coordinate national security, it subsumed it and grew into a huge, unaccountable mass.
It might be possible to repair DHS, but frankly at this point I see little realistic chance of doing so.

That strikes me very much as, "Yeah, no one expects to pay this back and if they do, it won't be my problem when it's due."
