^ Ahem...what about the pro-wrestling mother and daughter who is the sole cause of the guy's gynophobia?

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."Fact is people, things start to go the other way: women abusing men. All the tough guys are slowly dying out and are replaced by nerds who are at a woman's beck and call.... sniff. I miss when I was still single.
The situation is epitomized in today's anime: Ichika of IS, Touma of Index, Akuto of Color Wars, and now, Chicken-kun of Mayo Chiki.

...a little brother should belong to his older sister, right? - Orimura ChifuyuNone of those are really "nerds" and umm what? Unlucky Everydude or The Loser Is You have been around and major part of these types anime since Tenchi Muyo and later Love Hina. Hell look at To Love Ru, Rosario To Vampire (he improves) MM, etc.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!I like this show. SO SHUT THE FUCK UP.
You know, I've always wondered this, but why do people who obviously don't like the show still continue to post on topics about the show? What's the point— oh wait, this is called trolling isn't it? Get out* . We don't need your opinions. And if you try to actually post something after this point, doesn't that just prove you're out to ruin this show for EVERYONE else just because YOU don't like it?

Good job making it clear to everyone. I'm with you. Same thing's happened over at the Transformers DOTM thread too. Why would people clutter the show's thread with negativity when you obviously shouldn't have tried to? I just don't get people sometimes
What profit is it to a man, when he gains his money, but loses his internet? Anonymous 16:26 I believe...Ye gods, I take one nap and look at what happened to this thread! I'm almost afraid to admit I like this rather harmless show. Almost.
I like this rather harmless show.
#IceBearForPresidentNow, see, normally Don't Like? Don't Read! is annoying and shouldn't be talked about like this.
But this show… it makes its nature very clear. If, after one episode, it doesn't seem like the sort of thing you'd like, then I really am unsure why you'd watch any more. It seems to me that it would be better for everyone involved if you didn't.

"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."Ah, well, for those cases, most people watch atleast 3 episodes before deciding if the anime is worth following or not.
Granted, I knew I'd like this show from the start. But I usually follow those shitty Marvel Anime for 3 episodes before dropping them....except Blade, that series is So Bad Its Horrible that I dropped it mid-second episode...they made something even worse than Wolverine.
As for this show...how is it homophobic?
"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."Check the little sister's initial reaction to Subaru. Or Jirou's reaction at the end there.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."...that's it?!
That's very...very...petty I can't think of a good word. But overreacting-y.
But that's about as homophobic as a video game that has mooks happening to be black is racist.
It's like calling a game sexist just because they made one of the female characters a healer.

"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."Yeah I don't see it either.
A haughty little sister dissaproving of a "gay guy" coming onto her older brother, while "cross-dressing" no less? And an older brother being surprised at his younger sister declaring her love for a man, while he knows the "man" she loves is actually a woman?
That's...not really homophobic.

#IceBearForPresident^He wasn't just surprised, he proceeded to inform his father in Heaven that his daughter was in love with another woman, in an embarrassed and disappointed tone.
So, am I really not allowed to state a negative opinion of a show even though I've watched just as much as anyone else has?
His reaction seems pretty normal to me.
Even the most liberal and accepting person would be surprised if someone as close as a sister declares she loves a person they know is actually a girl.
First, he's well aware of the possibility that it would get really ugly considering her personality combined with the fact that she doesn't know Subaru's real gender yet. Second, he's also taken aback by the fact that she suddenly loves Subaru after what happened in the previous day. Third, being an older brother, the fact the his own little sister declaring her love to someone, male or female, is in itself unpleasantly shocking(you need to have a sister to understand this last point).
And fourth...he didn't say it like he's really disappointed or in a way that makes him look like he dislikes homosexuality. He says it in a "this...won't end well" kind of tone.

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."Of course you're entitled to your own opinion, but it's just as ^he said: Anybody would be embarrassed or taken aback in those circumstances.
It's just in my opinion that there is insufficient evidence to declare this show homophobic.

#IceBearForPresidentNot to mention there's the entire "characters showing racism/homophobia does not neccessarily mean the work itself is racist/homophobic".
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntI wholeheartedly regret playing a role in letting this happen.
Funnyguts, I totally respect your opinion here, but I feel that you have no good reason to hang around the thread for a show which you probably shouldn't watch.
The rest of you, recognize that for some, Dude, Not Funny! applies here.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."'shrugs' Very well. Humor is subjective to begin with.
#IceBearForPresidentBut it was funny! This show is a comedy! And those scenes were Played for Laughs !
Plus, homophobia is the last thing I'd think would be accused in this show...people had no complaints of the pro-wrestling mom beating the crap out of her own son with her daughter.

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."
How are those at all connected?
People are complaining about supposed gay bashing, while ignoring the elephant in the room in the form of Jiro's domestic abuse.

#IceBearForPresidentThis is really funny: I just went to sleep and the first thing I saw at a Sunday noon is this... LOLZ...
While I can agree with some that they're free to voice out they're negativites with this show, I was just wondering: Why watch it when you hate it?
=_= Or maybe your acting like a tsundere and actually love this show. /smirk
...a little brother should belong to his older sister, right? - Orimura ChifuyuYou don't know if you hate it unless you watch it.
#IceBearForPresidentThe manga wasn't enough of a test run? It came before the anime right. There was the light novel too, although I dunno which group is translating it.
Researching an anime before watching is something people should do. Doesn't it feels like such a waste D Ling the anime from the net with a shitty IP and PC, waiting for hours just to see something you don't like...

Thus far the only abusive persons in the series are Kareha and oujo-with-ridicilously long name.
EDIT: And wait. There's (thu far anyway) been only one even hinted-at lesbian woman in the show. (the chef with like two lines) The entire show runs on (specifically) mistaken gender-identitis, but pretty much all of those have been people making (for a lack of a better word) "straight" assumptions.
The entire "female crossdressing for some reason and forced to keep her gender secret" is pretty much a genré of it's own. (tons of shoujo manga with that concept...) It's actually less common to ake it about the Secret-Keeper (although that's not an original plot either, especially not in harem shows) but it's moreso than the straight "crossdressing protagonist" schtick.
