It's pretty much what I expected coming from the director of Utena. In other words, it's weird, awesome and hot at the same time. I wonder what direction it will take, but Himari's henshin form doesn't seem very kind at all.

Also, Himari is probably my favorite girl of the season so far, not to mention the anime itself is also my favorite, although I still have to watch Usagi Drop episode 1.

Great OP and ED themes too. I hope they stick with them.

Best show of the season.

(Admittedly, I've yet to sample the Noitamin A shows, but I really doubt they'll be as fun and well-directed as this.)

I really love the visuals. They're so vibrant.

Nutbladder is missing subs for the OP and ED and preview though, so I wonder if I should switch to gg.

^ I came here to comment on how great the aesthetic is, especially with the subway design elements. Also, their playground-rainbow colored house is just awesome.

Went through a moment of "Kida? Is that you?" when the ash-haired kid showed up. The use of the "walking person" symbol for the Faceless Masses reminded me of Durarara as well, although I don't think it will be significant the way it was in DRRR.

This is probably one of the strangest anime premiering this season that I've seen...but I like it.

Best anime of the season for me and I have seen the Noitamina anime. It was fabulous colourful and most importantly awesome. This show will definitely outdo Utena if it keeps it up.

Strap me in. Hook it to my veins. DO IT.

So, here is another incredibly trippy Mahou Shoujo anime?

Well considering how the last trippy Magical Girl anime I've seen turned out, all I can say is this:

Absolutely loved the Utena vibes I got from the first episode. Mentally seductive and trippy as hell. This show is awesome.

So uh... Magical Girls + Penguins + Yuri...?

I'm not sure what to feel about this. /Shaft headtilt

The ending theme kicks ass though.

This show has just jumped to the top of my list. It takes viewing priority over everything. Everything.

For the exact moment when writers of the show went off their meds:

...what the hell is this, and why do I NEED to see next week's ep like 5 minutes ago? Ikuhara, he's done it again! Lily Hoshino's input on the character designs is much appreciated, too, though it's kinda making me... want to ship those brothers together... which is ok, right? It's Ikuhara! It might happen!

From what I've heard Nutbladder isn't great but they're less likely to troll than GG, who are also not great.

Fillerdude said it's just missing subs for the OP, ED and preview (kinda like Horrible Subs' Kamisama Dolls).

Blah. I think I'll try both of them.

For first episodes it's pretty unlikely for there to be OP or ED subs. It's much harder to translate music, not to mention all the effects they like to add. When you're racing for a first release, most don't consider it worth the effort.

GG's was perfectly fine this time around, although I can't guarantee anything for the future.

WATCH IT NOW. IT WILL VIOLATE YOUR MIND AND SOUL AND YOU WILL ENJOY EVERY MINUTE OF IT.

It was certainly a very strange moment when the supposedly dead girl sat up.

EDIT: Some interesting notes on details of ep 1. Kind of chilling that the subway line depicted in the show was involved in the 1995 sarin gas attack.
