While germ theory is long into the future, I'm pretty sure that people knew that having rotting flesh in their water supply was a bad thing. Hence why keeping the water clear of that stuff (or fouling your enemy's supply) was such a priority.
Not sure the same would apply to any sort of metal poisoning, kinda odd how a character would bring that up in this setting.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.People in the Middle Ages certainly knew that dead bodies spread disease, somehow. Cue sieging armies chucking dead bodies over the walls of castle defenses. With catapults. Yes, really.
Optimism is a duty.It really does kind of undermine the whole (spoilers for Kass's bloodline) speech Alethia gives about humans being so great, what with inventing democracy and all that, when every single major political institution you deal with is entirely corrupted by the Cult and has been since before Leonidas's time, including Persia.
It's been fun.Well, I would say history in general undermines that speech pretty well. It's not like democracy has never been uncorruptible. The rise of the Nazi regime is perhaps history's greatest object lesson in just how badly democracy can fail its people.
Optimism is a duty.also would be more meaningful if we had any idea on the Isu's style of governance.
Secret SignatureWell we do know they had a caste system. It comes up in Juno's background.
I also got the impression that Isu scientists are also the ruling class, which makes sense, given the power they can wield.
Optimism is a duty.Like, I get the whole 'humanity is checkered and variable and that's what makes them beautiful' thing, it just doesn't really seem to make sense when the secret society that runs the world was apparently started by Adam and Eve and hasn't really stopped winning since.
It's been fun.BTW, relevant to the setting.
World's oldest "intact" ship found. A Greek Merchant Vessel dated around 400 BC.
Oh, I just love The Master. He tells you to your face he is a cultist member, gives you a ridiculous quest you'll not even pretend to finish, and then sends you on your way, just like that, as if he doesn't know you are not going to murder him then and there. And then you can just murder him then and there. He doesn't have so much as a guard with him.
Optimism is a duty. What? An RPG that lets you sequence break because the bad guys don't become invincible in cutscenes whenever you encounter them? I'm now reconsidering my decision not to buy the game. That's almost to a Fallout degree of freedom.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I mean, he does straight up point out you could kill him, but the slave you're trying to free isn't going to be freed since he doesn't carry the emancipation documents on him. And killing him doesn't free the slave since inheritance is a thing.
If you buy it or not, it's up to you.

Only if you can figure out which if the npcs is actually the target. A lot of them do nothing to stand out. And I think a number won't spawn unless a pre-req is met.
Assassin's Creed really should have been centered around Sumerian mythology instead.
1) Humans are explicitly slaves to the gods, and when we die they consume us and leave us in darkness
2) Despite this, the gods are worshipped in terms of adulations and praises rather than fear
3) Sumerian civilization is the oldest known.
4) They became literate very early on.
5) Paleolinguists have no idea where their language came from, which feeds lots of Ancient Aliens conspiracy theories.
6) nearly every other pantheon draws inspiration from Mesopotamian deities.
They have a name that shows up when you Eagle Vision them.

Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youI'm not talking about sequence breaking, though. Or should I not have killed him? The quest was clearly completed, so what else was there to do? And the slave disappeared afterwards, too.
About that ship they found, it looks just like a ship depicted on the Siren Vase, which depicts Odysseus tied to the mast, from the Odyssey. I mean, that couldn't possibly be the same ship, as Odysseus' ship was clearly supposed to be quite a bit bigger, but still.

Optimism is a duty. There really is nothing else to do, yeah. Unless you agree to stab a woman to death for the Cultist who turns and shows you his back immediately after taunting you about not being able to stop him.
It's been fun.Dude was a pretty clear case of Too Dumb To Live. I spent that whole time thinking "just how did you think this was going to turn out" after shanking him.
Pellene Tavern has oddly modern looking lights. It doesn't really look like there is a flame in them. They look like electric lamps.
It is located in Scavenger's Point in Achaia, if you want to take a look.
Optimism is a duty.I get the feeling that the Sage of the Aegean will be the last Sage I kill, if only because my usual tactics of assassinate and dodge don't work (for obvious reasons) on the sea.
It would be cool if you could sneak aboard enemy ships with a rowboat or something.
It's been fun.Just sink his boat. you don't even need to board it.
I went to kill a Cultist on his ship, but the crew got to him first.
Optimism is a duty.I mean if you don't want to board or think you can't take him, you can just fire on the boat again once it's disabled and it'll sink, and it'll count as a kill. The Cultist will auto loot.
That's not nearly as cool as splitting his ship in half with your ram
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for you
True, but Kass complains about the smell of the bodies (which have been there for a few weeks, apparently) immediately after the quest, so.
It's been fun.
