I think how they're doing it is a good idea and prevents total alienation. You want the classic Yakuza fighting, try Judgement. You wanna stick with it, Yakuza 8.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowCan't say I enjoy Like A Dragon's new system, though I do need to give it another go.
But as long as I have the option, I'm good. I like the Judgment cast and the game (well, Mahjong can go straight to hell), so I'm good with this.
I saw the PSN leak yesterday and it was dead ass Yagami's face on the cover of the new Judgement so I wasn't surprised. I am happy to see the Liumang play a role in the game, because I figured the series wasn't going to add any elements of Like a Dragon at all. I know it'll still be written as a self-contained part of the universe so no crossovers but still nice to see.

If they ever end Judgement, maybe the last one will be called Final Judgement?
If it ended with Yagami eventually becoming a guest star party member in a later Yakuza Game alongside Ichiban, it would be cool.
Watch SymphogearReally happy to see that Judgment is getting a sequel and that the sequel is getting a Global release.
"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"Damn has the franchise come far if we’re getting a global release.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I think what he meant was a simultanaeous release, yeah.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowOh shit, Yagami can skateboard and walk a dog in the sequel? GOTY 2021
They should get find the guys who did the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater remakes to work on the skaeboarding.

Watch SymphogearHuh. I think this is the first dog walking minigame in anything that I've ever seen.
It's been 3000 years…The Judgment sequel looks great and I'm looking forwards to it!
(Though one thing I hope they remove or at least change is "mortal wounds", was a real pain fighting anyone with guns)
I'm also fine with the Yakuza series staying turn-based RPG from now on, I didn't mind this gameplay in Like a Dragon
"Leftover items still have value!"Oh boy oh boy! I'mma wait for the omnibus but this is gonna be great!
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowPart 2: Saejima in...Shawshank Redemption 2: Featuring Cabela's Big Game Hunt.
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)Oh boy! Okay, fuck it, I'm watching every part as they come out.
Also, remember that article about the american guy who played Yakuza 3 with actual Yakuza? well I got some bad news, there's a big chance it was all bullshit.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowEverything is fake, nothing fun ever happens.
Y Eah that Jake guy is basicallya charlatan.
But hey, happier news at Snakerer making progress on his vid of Yakuza 5!
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowHow many of the games has he done?
It's been 3000 years…Snakerer? He's done most of them, starting with the original PS 2 versions of 1 and 2. They're P Atreon stretch goals that were reached with aplomb, meaning he's carved through 1 through to 4. 4 was originally released in chunks due to its scope with an omnibus edition to follow, and 5 is thew same deal but more. 0 is likely next followed by Kiwami 1, then 6, then probably Kiwami 2 and 7 maybe.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowSweet, I've got quite a few hours of videos to watch then.
It's been 3000 years…Yeah. F Air warning, they start to balloon in length. Y1 is one hour or so while Y2 is gonna set you back an hour and a half and Y3 is nearly two hours. There's a reason Y4 and Y5 are in chunks as well as an omnibus vid
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowYakuza 5 Review Part 3: Sotenbori Idol, guest starring Akiyama's watered down fighting style.

Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)Oh hell yeah, thanks.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowI admit it took me a long time to warm up to Park, but by then the game was over and I had to move on to Yakuza 6 in time for Like a Dragon. After beating 6, any issues I could have had with Park and her connection to the story might as well not exist.

As long as Ichiban is the protagonist, this makes perfect sense.
It's been 3000 years…
