Crap, Angel is losing this fight.
Damn. So much for that huh?
And she was really starting to earn people's trust too.
One Strip! One Strip! She (or somebody else) activates some special program at the end so she's going to do the dramatic manga comeback all underdogs do
NESTS active a chip she has implanted to make her berserk and thus, screw her over.
That's darkly clever. Most of the fighters don't like her anyway, so will just see it as her showing her true character, and if she attacks anyone in the audience, the Angel of Justice schtick is done for too.
It's arguably crueler than just killing her.
Edit: and I just noticed that Angel's mangled the arm she was using for that elbow drop when she got body jacked. So she's not even feeling pain either.

One Strip! One Strip! That's why I think that Angel might lose the fight but snap from the body jacking on her own (with some help form the kids and/or KOD and Ramon) earning her a moral victory against NESTS.
Besides, KOF has never been a series with outright bad endings so.
I'm still hoping that Team Mexico advances to the next round.
Popular as they (or mostly just Angel) are, and as much focus as they seem to be putting on her redemption I really doubt they're going to boot them out this early.
13-2 has been translated
Yeah, they're definitely setting up Angel for a heel face turn
Looks good. I wonder if they'll tone down the gore in the Japanese release.
Kind of weird how Japanese fighting games used to commonly have blood but now it's super rare?
Man sucks angel got body jacked, the fight was really good up till then. I feel she would've won.
Ever since CERO and those child murders I guess.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowWhat child murders?
There were a spate of child murders around the late 90s in Japan, and as it happened there was a bit of a furore about violent video games over there, which led to the rise of CERO, Japan's age-rating board, in 2002. CERO basically has the same age rating system as the US' ESRB and Europe's PEGI, just with letters instead of numbers.
This also led to some violent video games toning down the blood for Japanese markets. Look at the remake of Resident Evil 2. The Japanese version tones down a lot of the violent stuff (although there's a Z Version that has all the violence intact) compared to what the English version has.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowI was aware of Japan having stricter guidelines about on screen violence compared to the west, but I was unaware of that being related to actual crimes. Maybe the US could follow their example.
Anyways, in what I assume is no coincidence, Angel has just been added to All stars
https://twitter.com/KOF_ALLSTAR/status/1100236514338820096
And turns out, she kept her seiyuu from XIV, despite (for me at least) sounding nothing alike.
Japan kneejerk reacts to everything. Censoring entertainment isn't going to prevent violent crime, especially not entertainment appropriately rated and aimed at adults. It doesn't help that the censorship doesn't take away violence as much as it does dehumanize the targets (you can kill a zombie that is all but human except for the parasite infecting him in Japan just fine for example) or simply tone down the graphicness of it by removing gore or cutting out choice bits deemed too extreme.
I guess the bigger issue is Japan seems to have far less significant instances of violent crime compared to most other countries. I don't wanna press the Hot Button Issue but I don't think Japan's had any school shootings compared to how the US is borderline used to them. So when a violent crime of that nature is committed in Japan, its far more shocking, I suppose.
Anyway yeah glad to hear Angel's part of the All Star roster.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you know14-2 is translated
Seems Angel really does enjoy being a Face Luchadora after all.
Sam Sho info from 4chan so take with a grain of salt
>set between SS 5 and SS 1 (so no, you will get more than SS 1/2 characters)
>game will have a lot of characters
>last trailer was made because people were angry for the lack of infos at EVO Japan
>they have a lot to show but they can't do it because someone in the marketing department don't want to show anything before getting a publisher for each region
>we will get a real trailer (last one was a teaser trailer) with everything in the PAX demo before the event
>It's an important game for SNK, they want to be back on the market with more than just KOF like it was during their golden era (which can lead to more games if this one is a success)
Maybe we'll need a Samsho thread now?

Do I smell a Mark of the Wolves sequel?
Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...Angel of justice has a nice ring to it.
I'd rather have Lilly Kane.
