Methinks you don't know what the term Polygon Ceiling means, or you are a troll.

And I personally liked Fusion.

I disagree, since Other M clearly shows that why nintendo has not done any story heavy games before, they suck at it.

That's shallow, Nintendo has published story heavy games that were handled decently. Like Days Of Ruin, The Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorer Things, Eternal Darkness, and okay, maybe not many but...

Anyway, Fusion doesn't mean story heavy, and Fusion is the poster's opinion, your's is being asked. A Metroid after Fusion would be okay but I'd like to see a sequel to hunters. A real fleshed out single player mode that's as open ended as the original Metroid. It'd be nice if each hunter gets their own missions and different hunters are further separated from each other in play styles too. Flesh out the hunters, flesh out the setting.

<mod hat on>

If somebody is misusing a trope, tell them what it actually means. Don't start name-calling.

And no, it's not a Polygon Ceiling just because it's 3D. It has to be a poor adaptation to qualify.

<mod hat off>

I'm pretty sure it, or the Ice Missiles, are in most, if not all, of the 2D games since they are usually used to freeze stuff for platforming.

Then why you say it hasn't been used in any prime games?

Don't criticize games you haven't played yet.

Also, the second Prime game had the Dark Beam, which could be used similarly to the Ice Beam, IIRC.

Polygon Ceiling is when a series makes a not-so-graceful transition into three dimensions. Good night.

I wanna see some lines making Other M a Canon Discontinuity. Or at least explaining Samus' near-lobotomized behavior therein.

"Yeah, Samus, remember when seeing Ridley made you suck your thumb and cry in the corner?"

"What? That never happened!"

"Sure it didn't."
