Axes: I think it's fine, myself, just know his psywave disruptor (a Somebody Else's Problem field?) and communicator would be disabled around any anti-magic activity; magitech can do a lot here but in this RP it also has the drawbacks of both as well. I accept, and though normally Screw would be next I'd like to pass it to Colonial because of the backstory.

Well, I've theoretically got several other RP Gs on my hands at the moment, but since I've now been invited twice, I suppose I can at least make a character...

• Name: Amaranta Poverelli
• Race: Human
• Class/Role: Nun
  • In-class abilities: Bless (can repair small items, enchant items with temporary magical effects and create magical barriers) and Healing (can close small wounds and neutralize simple poisons and other negative effects).
  • Unrelated abilities: Weapon Proficiency: Mace and Weapon Proficiency: Solid Projectile.

• Physical Description: Amaranta has wavy black hair and deep black eyes, and coupled with her silky olive skin and curvaceous body, she is a fine example of a Mediterranean beauty. However, not much of that can be seen due to her non-revealing outfit. Amaranta wears a modified nun's habit, consisting of a heavy black tunic, white underskirts and a red scapular. The modifications consist of the tunic and scapular being made of kevlar, making it efficient personal armour. She wears a red coif in the colours of her order, which has a black veil that can cover the face in an instant. A rosary hangs from her belt next to her mace and firearm, a cross of silver in a black cord is around her neck and she wears two silver rings, one simple and one ornate, one on each hand.

• Personality: Amaranta is a devout Christian, and works hard and diligently to do what her superiors in the Order wants her to do. She is concerned with how people may have lost their inhibitions due to the changes brought on by the The Event, but she understands that everyone copes in different ways. She does not approve of the heathen practices or demi-gods that have appeared in the world, but looks upon it as a trial from God. It is her belief that all magical beings can conform to the Christian teachings, and that they just have a few details wrong. She is very trusting and kind, and will help everyone that need it.

• History: Amaranta was found on the doorstep of a monastery in northern Italy, abandoned by her parents. She was brought up in the convent's orphanage, and though life in a monastery is tough, the Sisters were kind to her. It was always her goal to join the convent, and when she was old enough, she entered the Order of Saint Longinus. After the Event, the Church was in danger following the coming of magic. As magical abilities seemed to come to people no matter what they thought of the Church, it was clear that these powers could not be a direct gift from god. As something of a last resort, the Catholic Church started gathering nuns, monks and clerics that had been given such abilities and forge them into a special part of the Church. These select people would make it their utmost task to use their powers for good, and thus secure a place for the Church in this new age. Amaranta was born with such powers, and was quickly scouted for the new Holy Peacekeepers. She received martial training to defend people against monsters and learned to heal people and bless objects with her magical powers. After finishing he training, she started doing missions for the Church, being sent to help areas or people in need. Now, her mission is to go to Veneficus to help those in need and sway people from the atheist Soviets.

• Other Important Notes: Her gun is a fine piece of Church magitek, and it can fire a wide array of enchanted bullets. She carries around a little black bag with different items she needs to do her work. Also, although she is already well over twenty, she knows nothing about her parents or biological family, and she sometimes wonder about who they were.

*Name: Jack O'Brien

• Aliases: John Smith, Connor Duggan, Emile Poland.

• Race: Hybrid. Of a Nymph and, apparently, Spring Heeled Jack.
• Class/Role: Lightning Bruiser
  • In-class abilities: Above-average intelligence, slight (nature related, such as accelerating plant growth. He can grow a sapling from a seed in five minutes, but will pass out from exhaustion.) magical ability, some pheremone control, ability to leap high (5 metres), has a set of metallic claws (not part of him) he can use to scale buildings (metal and glass he'll slip off/break, respectively), can breath blue/white flames (but it gives him heartburn), aging will slow down on his 24th birthday, enough to be noticeable, but will still die of old age.
• Physical Description: Humanoid, gaining most of his features from his mother's side. Muscular body, bright red eyes, ears and nose are slightly pointed (Which, with his slight magical abilities, gets him mistaken for an elf quite often. Which he does not like.).
  • Clothing: Jeans and a T-Shirt mostly, but owns a few tracksuits and tuxedos.
  • Noteworthy things like scars, etc. Whatever stands out: Red Eyes, Pointed ears and nose.
• Personality: A free-spirited young man, he does not like authority, or soldiers. Environmentally concious, dislikes the cramped aura of cities. Dislikes guns, but up for a fight or two. Likes drinking, partying and all that jazz. Easily irritated if you call him an elf.
• History: Born of a union between a Spring-Heeled Jack type figure, and an Irish Nymph, Jack was born on April 1st, 1987. He spent most of his life with his mother in the countryside, but went to school as soon as he was of age. Graduating college at the age of 21 with a degrees Environmental Studies and Economics, he worked as an accountant for a Renewable Energy company. Has been arrested three times for illegal bungee jumping, illegal BASE jumping and unlicensed disposal of waste.
  • Recent History: Taking a leave-of-absence from his job, he has gone to Veneficus to support The Syndicate, as he likens it to his own country's history, and he is of the same sort of race.
• Other Important Notes: Don't call him an elf.

There's a contradiction you need to revise/explain, though: You said he went to Veneficus to help the Syndicate (Which has been renamed Ouroboros, btw), yet before that you said that he hates soldiers. You do realize Ouroboros is a paramilitary force, right?

No, he hates guns. He agrees with their ends, but not their means.

If you can find a way to integrate a pacifist Ouroboros sympathizer into the group by all means try, but it'll be difficult.

That being said it'd be awesome to see it happen. Approved.

If it doesn't work out, we'll have to see if you can revise the character or come up with a new one. We don't exactly have a waffling-friendly setting here.

My hesitation comes from the fact that what I've seen of your R Ping has been less than impressive.

However, now that I think about it, you've definitely been improving with Sec in TOTG. Plus your character is remarkably well thought out, and would definitely be an interesting addition to the cast. As long as you keep up the quality of your writing, then I have no problem welcoming you into Cold Fusion.

  Whatever assistants he sent into the portal would either come back badly burned, or terrified beyond the point of coherence. He finally decided to enter the portal himself, taking his entire research team with him, in the hopes that a larger, more heavily-armed group would be able to ascertain the true nature of the world on the other side of the portal.
  • Recent History: Very few people with insight into Sisk's work or past are actually alive, and most of those who are are institutionalized. It seems that several years ago, they all mysteriously disappeared. Of course, given that Sisk already had a criminal record and violent tendencies prior to the disappearances, he was the chief suspect.
