Well, no, feel free to attack me! Just expect a response if your attack is not up to par.
I have very high standards for insults.
Clarste and Setsuna, can you please both drop it ? This constant sniping is annoying, pointless and has nothing to do with this show anymore. Please stop being dicks.
Well, as someone who's apparently dedicating their life to jocularity, to the point of declaring war on seriousness, I'd kind of expect you to perhaps be funny once in a while. Sadly this is not the case. I'm just trying to whip you into shape.
Okay, I'll stop.

This song is terrible, but I can't stop listening ;_;
I want a full version of the ED.
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.Episode 3
Meme is so ludicrously, unbelievably sexy that she destroys my ability to think when she's on screen.
Anyway, Erio's officially introduced herself to Makoto, which means we can get on with the actual plot of this show, whatever its going to be. I have no idea what that will be.
Note to self: Do not go to a mix your own soft drink bar with a genki Japanese schoolgirl.
Wow, there were so many references in this episode. ET, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Eureka7...
It's been fun.-reads thread-
...everyone takes characters in a comedy anime too seriously. Can't we all just admire the blue haired loli panties like normal people?◊

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."Normal people?
Also I have a bad feeling futon is going away...
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits. What part of Erio makes her look like a loli? Agewise, sure, but she's not built like a loli at all.
Aaaanyway. I'm really having a tough time deciding which sub group to stick with... Underwater-Commie caught a lot more of the references, and they do Erio rather well, but I really enjoy Mazui's rendition of Erio's way of referring to Makoto as 'the cousin' rather than 'my cousin' or similar. It's really a problem...
Oh. Also, Mazui screwed up I CAN FLY, which is a major strike against them.

It's been fun.How did they screw it up?
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits. No way she is a loli.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Ai Kyannotto Furai
Seems like the end of volume 1.
So I heard the name "Hendere" (Weird/cute) thrown around for Erio elsewhere I wonder how accurate that is going to be.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!As far as I'm concerned it's very, very accurate. Episode 3 was great. Niwa actually pulling off that crazy stunt just to get Erio to quit her alien schtick... that's just amazing. And there's a bunch of references thrown in for good measure.
When Makoto and Erio go off the guardrail, they shout 'I can fly', both as part of Makoto's 'aw fuck it let's do this' attitude and as a direct reference to Eureka Seven. Mazui put it as 'I can't fly' in both the guardrail scene and the after-episode adolescence points roundup (which are always great, by the way).
It's been fun.
This post was thumped by the Eldritch Flyswatter of Horror
No, he doesn't. I just checked.
Its very clearly AI KYANNTO FURAI
Watch it again, the "to" comes a beat later, which is why you may have missed it. Besides, the entire point is that they can't fly!
Edit: hell, look at the Points Roundup◊, that is clearly "I CANNOT FLY". Sorry, but Mazui got it right.

Watched the episode again... After he paints the bike red the next line is "We're not going any faster..." Char Shout-Out ftw.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!
Speaking of Seishun Points, I'm very disappointed in Matoko for counting Meme's hug as a negative.
^^^Oh, I see. Misread the Seishun Points entry as a sort of correction - as in, Erio and Makoto going 'yeah, so we can't fly... plus five'. Sorry, Mazui.
But man, the two sub groups really highlight how deep the reference puns went this episode. "I'm Makoto too" and "I'm serious here", both of which are valid interpretations of Makoto's sentence... Damn, this show got much better this episode - and it was good before.
^^It could be that, but it was always red. I think he was just cleaning some of the rust off.
^She is his aunt. Ridiculously hot aunt, but still his aunt.

It's been fun.I wonder why he considered Meme's hug a negative too, considering how he tried to smell her fragrance off a pillow.
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits. Is there any other way to interpret that sentence that makes sense without the Char Shout-Out?
I mean spraypaint the thing red doesn't clean off rust really and wouldn't make you go noticeably faster... Only the Char meme does that.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!
I don't think its possible at this point for the combination of "Red Paint" and a reference to "Going Faster" not be a Char reference.
So I guess it's all fun and games until someone attacks you.
