Looks like that rumored late May release might be likelier than we thought: 1 Definitive has been rated in Korea.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I do hope they release details on what will be added (if anything) to the DE. I already played the 3DS version.
Well, we know they are adding a piece of cut content in (Bionis Shoulder), and considering it's a Definitive edition, we can assume the model viewer and sound test from the 3DS version will likely be in as well. Outside of that and the updated models, that's all we know/assume for now.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Actually, to be honest, there isn't much I'd personally add to the first Xenoblade Chronicles even if there were no limits. Maybe a proper Machina party member that deals in splash damage, making collectible items much easier to obtain akin to 2 (there would still be trading, and the options would be vastly expanded), and making Bana a disciple of Zanza and a necessary fight.
A non-mandatory community system from Torna would be appreciated.
Where there's life, there's hope.If Bana was to be made a disciple, I think I'd prefer for him to still be optional.
Actually, I know XB 1 is already pretty good at quality of life features.
But one addition I would really appreciate is a quest counter to the Points of No Return.
Instead of just saying "Are you sure?" adding a counter saying "X Quests will expire upon progressing the story."
And this would include ones that haven't been picked up yet.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobSeconding the quest expiration counter, that's brilliant.
I want Shulk's replicas to be easier to make, so that they're not mostly postgame weapons. Actually I want the end/postgame rebalanced as a whole.
Oh god do we think that Monolithsoft's going to do DLC for DE?
If the DLC is effectively a whole new game again, I'd be ok with that.
SoundCloudWell when you put it like that, I'd play a whole prequel game where Dunban has the Monado and fights to defend the colonies up to Sword Valley.
That reminds me, Xenoblade Warriors when?
SoundCloudApparently they've talked about it! No idea why it didn't go forward though.
Oh, how about revamping Sharla's gameplay style? Such as changing up her cooldown penalty.
So I'm back to my second XCX playthrough. I've spent the last five real world hours and in-game days running around Primordia with Gwin, Irina and Doug. Went through that tunnel on the northern tip at night and saw the Noctiluminescent Sphere glowing faintly. VERY effective, MS.
Heading back to NLA in a bit to actually see about some quests, I remember I need Qwin to hit relationship 2 or 3 for his sidequest?
Oh, should I bother recruiting Hope this early? Doesn't her recruitment quest have a leg in Cauldros?
Hope isn't the best character around and the quests level requirements can be a bit steep at the time you can get it, but that part of Cauldros isn't too high level and neither are the enemies either (13).
The biggest problem I had was just getting to Cauldros without a Skell, especially with the levels of some of the enemies on the islands between Primordia and Sylvalum.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Just swim to Sylvalum. Nothing will threaten you on the water.
Yeah that's what I remembered. Her quest is centered around that area on the north side of it, right?
I'm trying to get a few new classes for Rook. Almost done with Enforcer, but won't do Psycorrupter. Thinking Blast Fencer, loved that class-line my first playthrough.
yeah hope's quest is absolutely doable at low-level. Just don't get killed by a fire rain before setting up a fast travel point if you don't wanna swim all the way again.
"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."I'd probably do Hope's quest after Chapter 5 if you can manage to get to Cauldros on foot (use Elma's Ghost Factory to get past the enemies at the gate), or Chapter 6 once you get your Skell. I'd definitely do Alexa's and Frye's quest after Chapter 5 to get that precious Overdrive ability to deal with the nastier enemies.
Theme of Territorial Rotbart gets a GaMetal cover.
So guys, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 brought in a bunch of different Character Designers for its Cast, and it looks like it started a new trend doing so if Sakura Wars (2019) is any indication. In relation to this, I want to ask; Would you want a potential Xenoblade Chronicles X2 or really any future Xenoblade Chronicles project in general to have more than one Character Designer again? If so, who would you want?
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests. As far as I'm concerned, I'd much rather stick with a single chara designer.
"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."Not if they have several focus as much on fanservice as XBC 2 did.
I loved the game, but I think the more fanservice-y Blades detract from the overall experience.
Regardless of that, I think a smaller number of character designers working together is better.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobThe choice to have multiple character designers is because Xenoblade 2 is a gacha game wannabe.
Where there's life, there's hope. One of the key things that people forget is that their is always multiple character designers on a team, but the Art Director usually just takes the designs and makes them look more like what you would see in the game.
2's issue was that there was not that many people working on it and had to outsource a lot. Whether the gatcha element was inspired because of the lack of a full team or not is probably up for debate.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."
Lots of us have worked on that for a long time, so thanks it's nice to hear.
I'll about getting to the folders tomorrow, indents and chronology should be pretty quick though.
