Yes, she will. She's a fantastic blade, of course, but not one anyone can really use all that often due to the nature of her sidequest.

She's like the Hydreigon and Volcarona of Xenoblade.

One other thing to note about Ursula's quest.

The amount of progress a blade makes on a merc mission towards filling out affinity chart nodes that have already been unlocked is completely based in the quantity of merc missions they go on (2-3 nodes gain like 50% progress per mission).

This means that once a blade has enough trust to unlock all the levels of their affinity chart, you can fill in the actual nodes super quickly and easily by sending them on Ursula's missions (which are by far the shortest merc missions).

Including blades who meet those optional extra requirements of the missions makes them even shorter.

Yeah, if there's one consolation to Ursula's sidequest, it's that all the chumps you send on her little singing practices will fill out their charts very quickly. Fellow Rare Blades too.

Basically you bring her out when you proceed with the story in case of a nasty boss fight, and let her do her lessons when you do sidequests.

Some of the buildings should have fire escapes and walkways and stuff like that.

What were you thinking?! You should have used it on Rex!

Oh, lighten up and let people play however they want. You don't need to micromanage every new player's experience with the game.

I used Wulfric on Nia too and I still 100%'ed the game with no difficulties borne of that. It's not a life or death situation.

It's not like Wulfric is even the best Megalance anyway, he's mostly valuable for field skills.

But Nia is the worst Megalance user, so...

With the exception of Vale. Vale is good on her due to having an Ether Mod and having some silly synergy with one of Nia's Megalance arts (Vale increases back attack damage and one of Nia's Megalance arts deals more damage from behind).

Even so, I'd prefer using Vale on Morag. If it doesn't have a driver combo art or a direct healing art, it's trash.

Let people play how they want, dude. I know you have your preferences for how to optimize stuff, but you don’t need everything to be perfect to get through the game. You can’t expect every new player in the thread to rely completely on us for advice.

Alright. But don't come crying back to me when you're kicking yourself in the foot when you limited that rare blade's use. I've made some similar mistakes myself and it was always my goal in future runs to correct them.

The main game is easy enough with just the main blades, so it's not like it matters all that much who goes where.

x3 I get that you're trying to help and I appreciate that, but IMO you shouldn't tell people how to min/max unless they ask you to.

And I'll second the other players in this thread and say that I used Wulfric on Nia as well (mainly cause I had already gotten Ursula on Rex - my first rare draw, at that) and had absolutely no problems resulting from it.

Well, let me tell you to put Vess on Nia when you get the chance. She makes for a decent early electric blade, and she has Fortitude and Forestry, two Field Skills that you'll want to have sooner than later. To make a used core crystal available for use, literally pick fights with monsters to bring down the clock down. That's how it works even though it doesn't make much sense.

I got Mythra's Smash Bros. outfit without doing anything.

Part of the most recent update. And it boosts her crit levels to the max too!

Oh yeah, I picked up her exclusive Aux Core earlier.

Currently stuck at the beginning of Abandoned Factory.

Ursula has reached Lv. 4.

Here's where the true grind comes in. Get all the stamps to 99 before you finish her quest, btw, since her missions stop unlocking once you finish it, and they're all good for grinding generic blades.
