unless they are posting fake videos of their alpha, it's looking good & it's not gonna be like just COD + mech HUD...a sense of gravity is there, the weapons pack a punch & Armored Core level of customization...the only gripe i have: spending real money on bigger & badder mecha i.e. Bribing Your Way To Victory...still, can't wait for 12/12/12...if the world doesn't end, anyways...

Ok, closed beta keys have gone out. My mom is friends with a producer at Meteor, so me and my brother got keys into the beta. It starts tomorrow, and there is no NDA, so I can get some screenshots or something up.

They do, it's just that the IP was given to a different developer that despite having added more content, is mainly focused on gameplay fixes and technical stuff. I honestly quit playing it since I have yet to obtain a computer that can actually handle all the processing and graphics on even its "lowest" settings.

I stopped playing when the player count near my area (SE Asia) dropped to REALLY low level...shame really. Still like my Scout a lot.

I got started a couple months ago or something. It's fun, but most of my enjoyment admittedly comes from derping around with friends.
...that said, I end up usually doing significantly better when my friends aren't playing because they're about five tiers ahead of me in terms of kicking ass. >_>
On a different note, I find it interesting the trope page considers the Vanguard to be impractical, because it works fine for me, even if it's not particularly gimmicky.

Holy crap, it's been almost a decade since the last post here. Probably didn't help that the original Hawken quietly died, and then just as quietly came back several months ago as Hawken Reborn, only this time as a co-op PvE experience. The older fans aren't happy though: they want their Pv P mech combat back.
EDIT: Not sure why, but the Youtube links aren't working today, no matter how I tried to post the videos.
