Haunter used his other arm to grab Jet out of Eltenios's mouth, handing the Buizel off to Aaron. "Help him, Aaron." He turned his attention back to Eltenios. "It's noble of you to stick up for your friend. Though judging from what happened when you attacked the Blades, I'd say fighting isn't really your thing."
Excadrille narrowed his eyes at Sluggard, then stomped on the ground, sending a Rock Tomb up directly into Sluggard's prominent gut.

Aaron's forehead jewel glowed slightly and the hanging water pokemon floated over to relatively safe ground. "Please, sir! Don't kill them, we need them!" The pleading tone in his voice scared him. Showing weakness was a dangerous thing.

Sluggard grinned, dropping out of the spin and pulling at the pillar of rock. "Sorry, must have left it at your mother's house last night. That's a nice scar on the back of her neck by the way."

Sluggard kicked at the bottom of the pillar, preparing to use it as a club on the Excadrille.

Eltenios couldn't resist letting out a smirk. "Of course it's not my thing. Moving things around, that is my business", he continued, motioning towards Jet again, as he was being moved to the ledge.
As he was lowered to it, he made sure he had enough of a grip on it. He turned to the Espeon, then to the Haunter. "Couldn't risk getting Jet to the other side if I didn't know your intentions. Rule number two of business..."
"But now... we all know who has good intentions, " he said in a serious tone as he signaled Haunter to the Espeon tending to Jet, "and who merely does business too, don't we?" he continued, this time in a more playful tone as he signaled to the destroyed surroundings.

Excadrille used one claw to slash through the pillar, the other to rip apart the Aqua Tail before ramming into Sluggard with a Take Down.

Haunter nodded as he looked Jet over, snapping his fingers. An Alakazam Teleported into the room, looking the Buizel over before pressing a hand to his chest, the warm yellow glow of a Recover spreading from his body to Jet's.

"My point exactly," Excadrille said with a smirk as he used Brick Break to smash the pillar, then a second to bring down on Sluggard's head.

Sluggard paused for a minute in confusion, allowing the brick break to hit him.
"'scuse me, gonna use Rest now. Dominique, kick his ass."
Sluggard fell over onto his belly, snoring loudly as the shellder turned to face the Excadrille.
"Hola señor. Como esta?"

Eltenios let himself rest on the ground, grumbling. Content with Jet receiving treatment, Eltenios lent an ear to the battle below, but there wasn't much he could hear that wasn't indistinct grumbles and sounds of rocks shattering.
Returning his attention to Haunter, he wondered how much of a team did the Ghosts have, and how "OK" were they with getting the building destroyed for what appeared to be mere sampling.
"In which case... how bigger is the bigger thing we're being tested for?"

Eltenios suddenly found himself hanging in mid-air, a ghost hand clamped to his throat. As he closed his eyes his first impulse was to thrash and try take it off, but he quickly supressed it — he was still carrying Jet.
The dog Pokémon risked opening one eye and giving the Haunter below an inquisitive turn, his tail waggling slowly, as he tried to motion his neck to make Haunter notice Jet.
