I've been thinking about, um, Pan lately. She's this s-strange girl who claims she's my daughter. If I, um, had to guess, she came h-here to protect me... (hands photo over) What do you, um, think of this?

Forest (Amnesiac Aichi)

-He blinks.-

-...? A girl that claims to be Marcia's daughter...?-

-He has a bit of a delayed reaction, but...-

"Ehhhhhhh?! Y-Your daughter?!"

-He grabs the photo and looks at it.-

-What are the specifics?-

Woods

(Marcia just nods. It's a pic of an older Marcia teaching Pan how to make healing potions.)

Forest (Amnesiac Aichi)

-...! It really does look like an older Marcia...!-

"W-Wow... I-Is she from the future or something...?"

-He's dumbfounded... absolutely dumbfounded...-

-Oh geez... Imagine if he ended up having a kid from the future pop up or something...-

-...Naaaaaaaaaaaaaah... That'd be ridiculous!-

Woods

Y-yes... (tells the story of the first time she met Pan)

-Xenos is chilling in the main room-

-a pizza box sitting empty on his head-

-he's snoozing-

-there are heavy footsteps out in the woods-

-as well as the sound of laser blasts-

-if anyone was to look out the window, they'd see a horrific spindly thing◊, its full height rising above the treetops-

-firing at an unknown target in the woods-

-Xenos snorts himself awake as he hears laser blasts-

Is it Tuesday already...?

-he looks over towards the window to the outside-

-putting hands on his hips as he just watches for a moment-

Huh. Neat.

Kitchen (Jean)

-Jean walks in (she was intending to get herself a salad) and ends up hearing the laser blasts. She pretty much jumps.-

"W-What the heck...?!"

-...Oh, hey. Xenos is here.-

"Hey, Xenos..."

-...The laser blast noises have her nervous now.-

Main Room (Young Aichi)

-Someone might find Aichi trying to play a game... Mobile Warriors Versus.-

-He saw older him play it a bunch, and he wants to try it too.-

-Maybe he'll be able to play it really good like how older him says Big Brother Leos and Big Sister Sthesia do!-

-Heck, he might be able to surprise older him with being able to play it really good (Seriously, the only reason he even calls the original Aichi 'older him' at this point is because he's... well, an older him, and it feels weird calling him Aichi since it's his own name. He honestly looks up to the original Aichi as a big brother now, not just some older version of himself. Honestly, it's probably very strange, but he's a kid, so...)!-

-...But he's not doing very good... He can't figure out how the controls work, the enemies are too strong, and he constantly has to look down at the buttons...-

-He's not used to playing video games at all... He only started during his time in the Room with those Game Boy expies.-

-And now he's messing with a completely different game system, that while he's seen someone play it before, he's never played it himself...-

-Seeing does not equal experience.-

-So they might see an increasingly saddened little boy on the couch.-

Neat lightworks, huh?

Ahhh, I'll never be able to get the sound of laser-fire out of my ears...

Apart from y'know.

Worrying about that.

-points back towards the ongoing fight-

Kitchen (Jean)

-Well, she sort of just gawks out the window for a second when Xenos points over to it...-

"Uh... fine, I guess..."

-She hasn't really been up to much. The usual.-

-Read books, mess around with her phone... Nothing big.-

"Things have been pretty slow lately..."

-...Other than the LASER NOISES OUTSIDE.-

"What about you?"

I ate pizza, watched an anime about some inventor's adventures in a world of cyber-technology, despite coming from a world of steam-power.

Oh and I've finished my first prototype of the Hero Driver.

Now I just need to make the first Tablet for it.

-there's the sound of screeching metal and a terrible crash-

-the strange insectoid walker thing lets out a triumphant, warbling cry, and starts stomping off deeper into the forest-

Kitchen (Jean)

-Oooooooooooooooooh... That sounds like a cool series!-

"How was the show?"

-...-

-...Wait, Hero Driver!-

"You're making really good progress."

-She feels a bit of excitement bubbling in her, but she's keeping it well hidden...-

-And then she jumps from all of the noises outside again.-

"...U-Uh... Should someone do something about that...?"

-There's supposed to be a lot of really super tough people here, right?-

(Felicia is at the lake, Uncle by her side)

(enjoying this peaceful moment... well, at least until the lasers and crashing reach their earshot)

?!?!

...

(after but a moment's contemplation, they Investigate)

Eh, someone will take care of it.

And the show was pretty neat!

But yeah, Not too much longer and it'll be ready for the first tests.

-looks like-

-some weird jeep is crashed into a nearby tree... or what's left of it, the tree is smoking and blackened from a direct hit with a laser-

-the driver, a guy wearing blue armor and a beanie cap, is slumped over in the driver's seat-

...

(Felicia's expression doesn't change)

Uncle.

Shah.

(Uncle looks the figure over, checking for Wounds and Breathing, though not trying to move them around too much lest said things get worse)

-he's breathing, shallowly-

-there's a little bit of blueish blood dripping down from the steering wheel-

Buuut, yeah.

I'm sort of excited.

I anticipate a very interesting time...

Oh yes, of course.

It'll probably revolutionise your life and what you can do.

Especially if you're able to test some of the higher functions...

Maybe not the Mantle of Heroes, though- that'll require a lot to achieve.

But we'll see how you get along.

-it looks to be a forehead wound...-

-the driver groans, seemingly stirring back to consciousness-
