-the hawk manages to actually gouge out a nice wound in his back, exposing gears and wires and such-

Kareena: Blade!

-she rushes at the hawk, barking at it, but the hawk simply plunges it's beak into Blade's back-

Blade: Holy-!

-he claws furiously at it-

-then the hawk...stops moving-

-it...powers down?-

-and collapses to the ground-

Blade: The kriff was that?!

Kareena: Zeraphine...I think it overloaded itself...probably meant for spying, not fighting...

-Sayaka, the box isn't failing, and you reach the surface without issue-

-Voltaire and Joker are there to help you out of the water if you need them-

Main Room

Val: Wait, what? Why?

Lake

Sayaka: (emerges triumphant from the water) <Got it!> Hey, can you guys help me out?

Homura: (turns back to see Sayaka emerge with the box, goes back to the water to help Sayaka get to the wooden legs they left at the shore)

-He can't help but sigh.-

-Just like Lily said... She didn't know how to get home either...-

"...I have to stay here..."

-He's actually pretty good at hiding his emotion, which is really weird...-

-...Are we sure this is an Aichi? A child Aichi? The guy that tends to get scared really easily?-

-That's not to say he isn't scared, but he's doing a much better job of hiding it than the most of the other Aichis...-

-Almost like he's just used to the idea of keeping things locked up inside.-

-...He's never even had to do anything like that either... It's just something he naturally does...-

-'A part of her that wants to be happy, but an unnatural part that questions her every move'...?-

-Ai gets rather down about this.-

-And then the hawk is causing trouble, and then Blade gets hurt, and then Sayaka gets back up with the box...-

"I-Is everyone all right?!"

"... Hey, you wanna do something to take that off your mind?"

-Joker leverages her onto his back-

Joker: Right, hang on tight girly...never been a vehicle before...

Joker: You ok up there?

-he moves slowly and carefully towards Homura-

-Voltaire walks with them so that Sayaka doesn't fall off-

-Kareena helps Blade up-

Kareena: I'll help patch you up old pal.

Blade: Thanks Karry.

-well Ai, if nothing else, perhaps the sight of everyone working together, as a team, can warm your heart-

Sayaka: I'm good. (wraps her arms around Joker's neck and shoulders since she has no legs for additional security)

Homura: This way. (leads Joker to the legs) Her tail goes in like that. (indicates the proper procedure)

I know his past! He let out a buncha bad reploids on the population along with the rest of Red Alert!

-He shakes his head slowly.-

"...I'll be fine..."

-...Although he's really not sure of what to do now...-

-...Yeah, everyone's working together...-

-She manages a small smile.-

Val: (looks between Shocker and Gungaroo) W-well... (places hand to chin in thought)

-Joker steadies her with his large lion body, while Voltaire helps her slide in as well-

-working together, the three of them manage to get her into her land legs once more-

-Blade and Kareena watch them, not wanting to rush her while they are doing this procedure-

-once they are done however, the two run over, all smiles-

Kareena: Oh Sayaka, I'm so glad you're safe!

Blade: Thank you, like...a lot.

Kareena: That was totally amazing! You're so brave! I'm scared of dark water...but you went in there like it was nothing!

-She takes the box from Sayaka-

Kareena: Locked huh? Well, I can crack this baby open back inside. Who wants a celebration feast?

Joker: Me!

Volta: Me too!

-There's literal sparks forming between the two reploids as they stare eachother down-

"You did a great job, Sayaka...!"

-She'll be able to talk to Misaki like she had planned, and since Leos and Sthesia are most likely busy she can leave them messages...-

Sayaka: (once she is back secured in the legs) Aw, thanks! It was nothing, really — I'm just glad I could help. (smiles as she hands the box over) Heh, you should have been there the time Homura and I fought the Witch of Darkness.

Homura: (glance at the discarded dress Sayaka had previously worn) Why don't you guys head back first? We will need time for Sayaka to get fully dressed.

Main Room

Val: Wait! (goes in and tries to separate the two with her hands despite only being, like, twelve or something) Can I..at least get the mechanic to fix my ride first?

Joker: Oh uh, yeah, course! Don't catch a cold though, alright? (he probably means from the cold water on Sayaka being exposed to the air)

Voltaire: We'll head inside! Oh man, after this much excitement, nothing better than a good meal!

-Kareena grabs Ai's hand, and holds Blade's hand her her other one-

Kareena: Together, Wulf Pack? I'm baking!

-oh man, Kareena-made baked goods? You've never had any of her stuff, but judging from the excited look in Blade's eyes, you have to assume it's pretty good..then again...he IS a robot...-

Kareena: Pies and cakes and rise krispies...

Joker: sounds good to me kid!

-inbetween all the smiles you notice something...different about Joker-

-he's...bipedal...and wearing clothes-

-he looks almost like a cartoon character-

-Joker doesn't seem to have noticed-

Hmmph! I can do it! Just get this big lunkhead outta my way!

Fine! Let this jerk do it! It’ll probably fall to pieces anyway.

-O-Oh, yeah... Sayaka would need the time to do that...-

-And then Kareena takes her hand, and speaks of baking.-

-Pies and cakes~...! Ooooooooooooooh!-

-...Ai's not sure what rice krispies are, but whatever, she'll take it!-

"Ahhhhh...! This is going to be great...!"

-You can see by the look in her eyes that she's excited for the sweets.-

-And then she gets a look at Joker.-

-Blink, blink...-

"...Ehhhhhhhh?!"

-Well, it seems like Ai noticed something, Kareena, Blade.-

Sayaka: Thanks, but don't worry about it. (gets busy getting dressed)

Homura: (is also helping Sayaka get dressed...though she makes a brief double-take at Joker just before he goes out of sight)

Sayaka: Hm? Something up, Homura?

Homura: ...No, nothing.

(Maybe.)

Main Room -> Front Door

Val: Well, it's like what my uncle College always says, "If you don't try, how do you know you can't?" Come on - it's out in the woods. (starts heading for the door)

"You sure? I have this neat lil' tablet..."

Main Room (Reborn Aichi)

-His eyes travel to the tablet.-

-...OK, yeah, he actually is kind of curious.-

-He walks a bit closer, looking at the tablet more.-

-Well, he's here and interested in the tablet, Trudy!-

-they get closer to the house away from the lake-

Kareena: ...

Blade: ...well that's new.

Joker: What's new? -he looks down at himself-

Kareena: My hypothesis was correct! The more good, selfless things you do, the closer you are to becoming human again!

Kareena: Maybe it was when you helped Sayaka! Or...I dunno, but it was something!

-then...Kareena hugs him-

-Wow Ai...you didn't even know lions/chimeras COULD blush-

-his whole face is now red-

Joker: ....I'm gonna give you three seconds to let me go.
