Eskay: -twitch- Her name is Caroline. She goes by Psyche. And it's not a good idea to insult someone when you're facing her boyfriend.

Will: -blink, pales slightly- I, um—

Skye: <Got it.> -does so, a bit more forcefully than before-

Will: Gothitelle, Psychic! That Skarmory shouldn't have too much energy left!

Will: ...Hmm. Even though I was defeated, I won't change my course. I will continue battling until I stand above all Trainers! Now move on and experience the true ferocity of the Elite Four.

Eskay: Yeah, yeah, whatever.

-He heals up his Pokemon, and heads into the next chamber.-

Jacob: -Having left the gym, is now riding Argentum and co. through some path south of Route three, cutting across Kanto to get to Celadon-

Jacob: "No, the problem is, I haven't felt at all sorry for the things I said or did there, even though I know I should." -Pulls out a broken music box, which begins playing a lullaby with various key shifts and tempo changes, yet he sways to the dissonance with peace and relaxation-

Discord: <Do you plan on apologizing? It was kinda mean.>

Jacob: "No. The things I did back there were down right wrong, but I don't actually feel sorry. If I apologized and they accepted it, which is already unlikely, then all it would do would justify what I did there."

Discord: <Regina and Argentum already asked all the things I'm probably going to, haven't they?>

Jacob: -Eyes closed, still quietly humming to the music- "Most likely."

Discord: <Well then, what do we do now? We haven't found a trace of Zeal's Quilava, and you said you're not taking gym challenges any more, so now what?>

Jacob: -Chuckles- "Okay, neither one of the others asked that, but I'm already a head of you. I called in a few favors, and we're heading to Unova. Not any right now, but eventually I'm going to get the notification that it's time to go. I'm interested in a lot of their unique species."

Discord: <Ooooooh! And what are we doing until then?>

Jacob: -Snaps the music box shut as the song ends and puts it away- "Staying out of trouble. Now please. I find myself incredibly tired." -He snuggles into Regina who is sitting next to him and promptly falls asleep-

Discord: <It's a nice plan he's got set out.>

Argentum: <Which is exactly why something is going to go wrong.>

Pokemon Mansion, seven years ago

-Maggie has scoured the entire floor for documents on Mewtwo, but found nothing, though slightly sidetracked in imagining the other members of the J-Team reacting to some relatively tame fanworks-

Maggie: "Well, i couldn't find anything here, but there has to be something."

-She just now notices that there are stairs to a lower floor-

-She then heads down the stairs to continue her search-

-Skye starts the attack up again, a bit less worried and a bit more willing.-

Koga: Thunderbolt.

Skye: <AAH!>

Eskay: ...Me and my big mouth. Just try to fight it!

Skye: <Urk...>

Skye: <Hrk... you got... lucky...>

Eskay: ...Okay, Spectrum!

Eskay: You know what to do.

Eskay: ~Note to self, teach Oscar TMs when he evolves.~

Koga: I subjected you to everything I could muster. But my efforts failed. I must hone my skills. Go on to the next room, and put your abilities to the test!

-He heals and heads toward the next chamber... but in the path between chambers, he pauses and lets Skye out.-

Skye: <Don't worry about it... you realized what you were doing, and you stopped yourself.>

-He continues toward Bruno.-
