Floaroma Meadow

Surrounded by many familiar flowers, Sakura and Lyuri were alone in the meadow, sitting under a tree's shadow and sitting against it, on opposites sides, Sakura was curled on her corner while Lyuri was just looking up with her legs stretched, the wind was blowing and scattering some petals around, making it quite a sight, however that was a sight that only Lyuri was able to enjoy.

"Is it wrong for me to envy you?" said Lyuri, out of sudden, much to Sakura's surprise "Ever since we met again and I saw how you were now, I couldn't help but feel envious of you, you became more sociable, even kinder, easily made friends, learnt how to take care of yourself... You even managed to get a boyfriend before me... Sometimes... I can only wonder if there's something I have that you don't, I may be a better trainer than you, but it's only a matter of time before you get better than me, you've always been talented when it came to Pokémon and made everything seem so easy, you easily tamed Pokémon without even trying that hard, it's only natural for you to be a better trainer than I am." she explained, her tone being a relaxed one, but at same time depressed

She kept looking up, looking at the petals being carried away by the wind, a small smile on her face, Sakura however, couldn't believe any of that, but she could feel Lyuri's emotions, she could feel Lyuri's depression and envy, her words were being as honest as they sounded, even then, it was hard for Sakura to believe that her sister, of all people, was someone that envied her. However, she could also feel other feelings coming from Lyuri, feelings of pride and happiness, but also of doubt.

"Lyuri-" she tried to say, before being cut of by her sister.

"At the same time, I've never been so happy for you, I'm so proud that my little sister grew up from a meek, helpless kid to a sociable, strong trainer that was able to get some of the strongest Pokémon around to follow her by just being kind and competent enough of a trainer, during those four years we've been apart, you've changed so much that I almost felt like you were a new person at the time, and I couldn't ever be more proud of you because of that." said Lyuri, now looking at her bag for that locket she had, the one showing her and Sakura, both children, posing for a picture together "But even then, seeing how much you matured, it only made me wonder, did I even mature during all this time? Am I still just the same kid from before? That only made me grow even more envious of you."

"S-Sis..." said Sakura, not sure of what to say to that, her own feeling now where so mixed that she didn't know how to react, however, she was already getting teary eyed.

"Sakura... Do you still feel guilty over that? Not the issue with that guy, that accident?" asked Lyuri, however she already knew the answer and just paused for a while to give Sakura a chance to respond with a weak nod, despite not even seeing, the answer was clear "Don't let that hold you back, I understand that the guilt over what happened may hurt a lot, but you should just accept what happened, don't think of alternate endings, don't think of "If"s, just accept what happened and move on, don't think about what could've happened instead of what did happen, think of the present and what will you do, don't let that confuse you... As much as I'd like Mom and Dad back, I also see that the accident had it's positive points, that being helping you mature, as long as you keep improving, I'm more than willing to accept what happened."

Silence reigned over the place after that, Sakura was already on the verge of tears by all that, it was difficult for her to process everything that Lyuri was telling her, but it was clear to her that Lyuri was at the same time opening her heart for her and trying to prove her point, all that sure was helping her clear her mind out of any doubts she was having, all that could've ended much earlier if she had just opened her mouth to talk about her own problems and feelings, as much as she could understand other's emotions, she couldn't understand her own and coming to that realization just made everything that much clear for her. She then got up and went to Lyuri, tears already coming down from her eyes.

"I can tell you matured, sis." said Sakura, as she reached for her to help her get up "There's no way you'd be able to express yourself like that if you hadn't, I've never thought that you thought of me like that, you're always such a tough, straight-foward girl, that sometimes I forget that you have a much more sensitive side." she said as she helped Lyuri get up.

Lyuri just gave a smile at Sakura, at the same time feeling a bit embarrassed, but Sakura also seemed much, much happier now.

"You're much stronger than I am, you're much more assertive than I am, while I've struggled to handle the guilt from what happened that day, you've moved on much earlier and instead thought of the present and future instead of the past." she said, a warm smile covering her face "You're right, everything you said was right, I focus so much on helping others, that I don't ask for help and instead try to take care of everything myself, which I was never able to. You're right... Even if what happened with Jacob earlier was my fault, I shouldn't be thinking of what would've happened if I hadn't done something, I just leave it in the past and move on!" she said as tears still streamed from her eyes.

Lyuri was just glad that was dealt with, but hearing Sakura, it seemed that everything worked out even better than she thought, she then was suddenly hugged by Sakura who held her in a tight embrace.

" Thank you sis! I don't know what I'd do without you!" said Sakura, with a big smile and overjoyed, she passed all those feelings to Lyuri as well.

"You've doing well enough without me, actually." said Lyuri, hugging Sakura back.

" But you're my sister and the only family I have, because of that, you're always trying to protect me, and I'd do the same as well, but we're also responsible for guiding each other to the right path, and you just did that, thank you." said Sakura, breaking off the hug and looking at Lyuri with an overjoyed smile.

"Yeah!" said Lyuri, before chuckling a bit and looking around her "Since we're here, how about we relive our childhood here, after all, this was our main playing spot." she said, with an overjoyed smile as well.

With that, Sakura nodded in agreement, the two then started to spend some time together, picking some flowers and playing around the flower field as if they were kids again, and they were enjoying every single second of it, after a long time without seeing that place again, it was very refreshing for them to enjoy some time together again, something that they haven't done for a long time now.
