ITT: We are all Pokémon Trainers

-the egg's shell bursts open. Inside is a baby Charmander.

Hey, little guy! Do you know where the Charizard went?

-It remains silent.

Are you a boy? Or a girl? Do you want to join my team? Do you have any egg moves? Do you....

-Suddenly, it gives an ear piercing scream of sheer terror. It sends me flying headfirst into a sand dune, and breaks the glasses of everyone in the area via the volume of the scream.

- I use a potion to heal Goggles before I let him back out of his pokeball -

Okay, Goggles. Now that you're our new team member, and you'll be helping us in our next gym battle, we should do some training on our way through the desert!

Goggles: <... Okay!>

Artemis: <But don't take all the experience for yourself, because I want to train too so I can evolve soon!>

Goggles: <Oh, evolution! That's the thing with the glowing and then turning into a more powerful Pokémon.>

- Both me and my Pokémon cover our ears as a loud scream is heard coming from nearby, it also breaks my glasses -

Oh great... Wait just a second...

- I search through my bag and pull out a spare set of glasses from it -

There, that's better. Now what was that just now?

Burgh: Whirlipede use Pursuit!

-Whirlipede rolls over and strikes Roggenrola-

Me: Hang in there Roggenrola! Use Rock Blast!

-Roggenrola shoots rocks at Whirlipede, hurting it badly-

Burgh: Whirlipede, use Struggle Bug!

-Whirlipede strikes Roggenrola in its ear-

Me: Roggenrola, use Rock Blast again!

-Roggenrola is able to knock out Whirlipede, but the rocks that come out are smaller-

What happened? Why were your rocks smaller?

Roggenrola: <No idea Tagg.>

Burgh: Return Whirlipede.

-Recalls Whirlipede-

Struggle Bug lowers the power of Special Attack moves such as Rock Blast. Go Dwebble!

-Dwebble appears-

-The Charmander is now curled into the fetal position, sobbing. I am stuck in the sand dune headfirst.

Smhon gt m ot hre!  ^Translation

-Covers ears.-

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Unite: <AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!>

....Okay, it's stopped.

Unite: <MY EARS! Just What was that?!>

- I notice Gamer stuck in the sand dune -

Oh!

- Walks over to him and tries to help pull him out -

Goggles: (walks over to the Charmander) <Hi there! Did you know this desert is full of sand?>

Artemis: <Really? I hadn't noticed!>

-Roggenrola hears a very faint cry-

Roggenrola: <I hear something from the desert.>

Me: Chances are my friends have something to do with that. I guess we'll see what they're up to later. Anyway, return Roggenrola!

-Recalls Roggenrola-

Go Throh!

-Throh appears-

Burgh: Dwebble, use Struggle Bug!

-Dwebble rushes towards Throh-

Me: Throh, wait for it to come come closer and then use Vital Throw!

-Throh waits for Dwebble, grabs it, and tosses it in the air-

Now finish it with Seismic Toss!

-Throh then throws it into a wall after it falls down, knocking it out-

Burgh: Good job Tagg and Throh. Dwebble, return!

-Recalls Dwebble-

Now for my final Pokemon. Go Leavanny!

-Leavanny appears-

- While trying to pull Gamer out of the sand dune, I notice the Charmander -

Hey, is that what hatched from the egg? Artemis! Goggles! Get away from that!

Goggles: <Why?>

Artemis: (bites onto Goggles' tail and pulls him away from the Charmander)

- I let Ribbons out of her pokeball -

Ribbons, do me a favour. Can you go take a look at that Charmander over there? Be careful, though.

- Ribbons moves a bit closer to the Charmander, but still remains at a distance from it as she stares at it, trying to sense if anything is wrong with it -

Me: Okay then, Throh return!

-Recalls Throh-

Go Pidove!

-Pidove appears-

Burgh: Leavanny, use Razor Leaf!

-Leavanny starts firing leaves at Pidove-

Me: Pidove, dodge them and use Air Cutter!

-Pidove dodges the leaves and hits Leavanny with a sharp current of wind, hurting it badly-

Now use Quick Attack!

-Pidove flies towards Leavanny to finish it off-

Burgh: It's not over yet!

-Gives Leavanny a Super Potion, giving it the strength to dodge Pidove's Quick Attack-

Me: -Under his breath- Darn it, should've seen that coming.

Burgh: Leavanny, use Struggle Bug!

-Leavanny attacks Pidove's wings, weakening it's ability o use Air Cutter-

Now use Tackle!

-Leavanny tackles Pidove hard into a wall-

Me: Pidove, can you still fight?

Pidove: <-Struggles- Yeah, I can do it.>

Me: Alright then, use Roost to heal yourself.

-Pidove goes tn the ground and starts emitting a green aura-

Burgh: Leavanny, use Razor Leaf while it's still on the ground!

-Leavanny complies, but Pidove is only grazed as it returns to the air-

Me: Pidove, use Quick Attack and then use Air Cutter at point blank range!

-Pidove dodges Leavanny's Razor Leaves, hits it with Quick Attack, and then hits it with a Super Luck boosted Air Cutter, knocking it out-

Pidove: <We did it! I feel strange...>

-Pidove glows and evolves into Tranquill-

Tranquill: <Cool, I evolved.>

Me: Awesomesauce.

Burgh: You did a good job Leavanny, return.

-Recalls Leavanny-

As the Gym Leader of Castelia City, I present you with the TM for Struggle Bug and the Insect Badge.

Me: -Takes both items- Thanks Burgh, now I have to go find my friends. See you around!

-Leaves the Gym-

Cactus: <Ok where are you're buddys at?>

Well I think there heading here.

Cactus: <They have not gotten here for 24 hours! They are not coming!>

You're probably right. Lets look for them.

Roggenrola: -Is being carried by Throh- <Straight ahead guys.>

-A messenger on a bike suddenly appears-

Messenger: Are you Tagg?

Yes.

Messenger: Your boss asked me to give this to you and your traveling companions.

-Produces a box-

It contains Xtransceivers for you and your friends.

Me: -Takes an Xtransceiver out of the box and grabs it as well- Thanks. I'll have to tell my boss thanks as well.

-Continues on his way-

-Charmander is still crying, and runs and hides behind the construction zone when I try to keep him in a Poke Ball.

Huh. I guess it really doesn't want to be caught. But we need to catch it for it's own safety.

Cactus can you make loud maraca sounds to a song. Ill play my white flute.

Well, no. Follow us to the construction area, we have to help Gamer calm down and catch a Charmander.

- I carry Ribbons and Goggles in my arms while Artemis sits on my shoulder and Chase flies next to us -

Huh. Maybe we can get a bunch of Psychic types to calm it down?

-unhooks Melonie's and Aphrodite's Pokeballs but doesn't release them yet-
