-A Dive Ball and Luxury Ball swell to beach ball size and fly into the air behind their trainers.-

-Each time something touches the web of tripwires, a Shadow Ball or Thunderbolt strikes it down.-

-After 9 seconds, the web disappears. The board reads "17".-

Midna: <I may have gotten...carried away.>

The Barman: I will call on you at the given time.

-He takes the card and with a flourish the card is gone, probably some kind of sleight of hand-

The Barman: I hope you make the decision that's best for all of us.

-He checks his empty wrist-

The Barman: Nearly midnight again. Closing time.

Nessa: Use fury attack!

-The Arrokuda charges at Treble.-

Cady: Use absorb!

-Treble manages to get some of their health back. This exchange continues for a while until Treble is knocked out. The Arrokuda is quite close to going down too. Cady sends out Amadeus, who's roots seem to be acting like octopus tentacles underwater. The whirlpool has subsided.-

Cady: Amadeus, dynamax!

-Cady withdraws Amadeus, dynamaxes the pokeball and sends out the now giant Morelull.-

Snowpoint Temple, AFD

Jared: You mean Regigigas?

Alex: The name's Alexa Vogel. And have you seen anything regarding Macro Cosmos?

Tommy: Macro Cosmos? The company? Like the company responsible for major redevelopment of this town? I've heard a lot about them in the news lately. I was gonna talk to my boss about it. She works in our head office in Wyndon.

"They're wherever nine times out of ten but I can direct you to where the members tend to reconverge," Ammy offered. "Rather, Xatu can," she amended.

Absent and his characters sighed in a mixture of frustration and understanding. "I don't doubt we'll never see each other again," he started. "But it's been fun."

The three nodded before stepping out the door, one at a time and returning to their home worlds.

"Xatu?" Colton and Ammy asked in unison.

In a green flash, all seven people and Pokemon appeared in a hall.

"Welcome to our base of operations, the Stormchaser," Ammy introduced. "You're bound to find someone on the team."

"What, and I don't count?" Colton refuted.

"If you did, they'd be content with you."

Halis: "The Regis, yes. To be honest, I consider them sacred beings, which is why I'm afraid of even the potential of having angered one of them by intruding on their territory... You wouldn't anger something you hold sacred, would you? I'd hope not..."

It's clear that even on the least serious of days, there are some things Halis isn't intent on letting slide.

Wyndon

Tommy: Nothing that nobody already knew. The company crashed in the wake of a very nasty incident with Eternatus at Hammerlocke. Basically, the company's chairman tried to trigger another Darkest Day with the hopes of using Eternatus as an endless supply of energy. The fallout is still kinda felt today, what with Macro Cosmos being almost as bad as the Pokefutures incident ten years ago. The energy crisis is still ongoing. I'm part of the Geographic Society team that'll make a special about it.

[An Unmentioned Social Media Platform]

-The camera cuts in on a rainy night outside before it's turned around by hand to Gale. She sits back, revealing she has a little pot heating away on an electric hotplate-

Hey guys, seems like winter's not entirely done on cold nights yet. Just got back from the cabin and honestly it feels nice to be back someplace with internal heating and spring mattresses.

-She chuckles under her breath and stirs the pot-

Melting up some chocolate real slowly. Just gonna dip some berries into it as a treat. I'm in a weird state right now about the Gym Challenge. Feels like it'd be too early to head over and challenge Stow-on-Side right now so I'm just... Not sure what to do.

-Satisfied with the state of the chocolate in the pot, she switches off the hotplate and cracks open a plastic box of assorted berries to find a good sweet one to dip-

Their days of practice or acclimatizing to the culture of this world had taken a backseat to merely sitting around and each alone honing their talents. Their respective appledragons had been loyal companions through all this, helping their trainers in all the ways that an armless worm inside of an apple shell can-

-With a soft bemused huff, the more arcane of the twins grabbed two mugs of hand-blended herbal tea and stepped over to the entrance of the cavern to sit next to their sibling-

Ammy, however, was a bit on edge, turning to look back at them with curious eyes.

-She looks pretty happy, Millie on her lap as a comfy to lean on. She might have some food with her that she bought in town as a lunch. Like something from a street stall or a fish and chips place-

Tommy: Yes, on that very topic. This is a personal passion project of one of our higher ups. It's an honor just to get assigned. It's one of those big in-depth news behind the news things to help the public learn exactly what transpired.

Wherever Olivia is

Upton noticed that Phineas is shaking, as though he felt unease with the presence of the woman not too far away from them.

Phineas: I have never seen that woman before, but I feel a disturbance, as though she thinks I taste like pickles.

Upton: Relax scaredy pants, it's probably nothing.

The rotom and his trainer would feel really familiar to Olivia, as though she encountered them before. Only the trainer doesn't register as a human. Sort of.

Halis: "Oh... that's not a good sign, is it? I don't think it is... earthquakes usually happen when things are mad. Maybe they're just mad at you and not me, though..."

They're already getting nervous and nothing's actually happened yet.

Hulbury stadium, AFD

Cady: Amadeus, max overgrowth!

-To match the underwater theme, the max overgrowth summons large glowy seaweed instead of the usual plants. The Arrokuda is knocked out and grassy terrain is summoned underwater.-

Nessa: Okay, go! Drednaw!

-She sends out a Drednaw.-

Nessa: Okay Drednaw, time to dynamax!

-She dynamaxes her Drednaw.-

Cady: Max overgrowth again!

-The max overgrowth does heavy damage.-

Nessa: Max strike!

-Amadeus manages to barely survive the attack.-

Cady: Let's finish this! Max overgrowth!

-The 4x effective attack finally knocks out the Drednaw. Both trainers withdraw their pokemon.-

Nessa: How can this be?! Even with a clear terrain advantage, I couldn't win.

Cady: Well, it is April Fools.

-They both swim to the middle of the pitch.-

Nessa: Well, congratulations on beating me. You've earned this water badge.

Cady obtained the water badge!

Silas and Roxy lay in bed, Roxy cuddled and curled up next to Silas, a hand on his chest. Silas was staring at the ceiling, deep in thought, he looked to Roxy, and took a sigh, and soon his thoughts were on someone else.

"Hm? Is everything ok?" Roxy asked.

"Yeah, just thinking."

Roxy quirked a brow, a wry grin across her face, "Oh?"

"Hrm, just pondering things."

Roxy stared, "Lying."

Silas frowned... more than his usual look, "Don't read me like that."

"I'm getting good at it, come on... be honest with me," She said before giving him a peck on the cheek.

"Fiiiiine... I've been... thinking about us and all, I'd say the experiment is a success," 'Including the fact that you're now pink in my mon form's aura sight' Silas left unsaid.

"And?"

"Well I've also been thinking about the other people we know, I've been talking with a few and... well Alice..."

Roxy blinked, "Go on."

"I thiiiiiiiiink I might have a few romantic inclinations towards her... I don't intend to act on them, I much prefer her friendship. I just didn't want to... admit it or say anything," Silas noted.

Roxy stared, and then laughed, "Is that all?"

"Whu?"

"Silas, you've formed bonds and connections, were you worried that I was gonna be envious or upset? I'm not, can't control what you feel and hey, as long as we're still together and we aren't cheating on each other it's fine!" Roxy explained, "Trust me, romance doesn't make a lot of sense to me either, still not sure what I identify as."

Silas relaxed a bit, "Oh, well that's good."

Roxy stretched, "Besides as things go, Alice is a good choice. Heck I'm fairly certain I only have feelings for you (as far as I can tell) but if she asked me, I'd probably say yes."

Silas laughed a bit, "Arceus..."

-Salem steps into the main office of the Hunter's Guild, eager to retrieve a mission from the higher-ups. As satisfying as laughing at Domino was, it shouldn't completely detract from the thrill of the hunt itself.-
