I should've come here sooner, I know. I... I needed some time to think about what I was going to say. That, and coming here meant bailing on Halis and everyone else, since... well, I think this something I need to do by myself. I do feel bad about disappearing like I did, but hey, not like I'm gone for good, right?

Yeah, I know, I'm running from my problems. Like always. I can make all the excuses I like and blame my fucked-up brain for holding me back, but the fact is that if I'd started a League Challenge five years ago, I'm sure I'd have seen it through. Probably wouldn't have won, but... y'know what they say about the journey and destination and all.

That was the first time I saw you again, remember? Back in Unova, at the end of my first League Challenge. It must've been... what, four, five years since you left home? Not that it was much of a heartfelt reunion. You knocked me out and rifled through my belongings, if I recall correctly. I'd say it was tough love, but... it wasn't, really. You never really got the hang of showing love at all.

Anyway. I'm rambling. Point is, I came here because I realised I gotta start fixing my mistakes. I can't just hide under a rock and hope that everything sorts itself out. I need to face my problems rather than run from them. And I think the first step on that road is reuniting with my old team again. Try to apologise for everything I did wrong. -Several months after her little run-in with King Otto's Monster, Alice is propped up in bed at the Faction's base, Lissa sat by her side with a glass of wine. She looks paler and thinner, and all the dye has gone from her hair, but otherwise Alice seems to be in good health.-

Lissa: So, feeling better, boss?

Alice: Somewhat, yes. I am hardly in peak physical condition, but... I am feeling rather more like myself these days.

Lissa: Well, you're not speaking in tongues anymore, so that's good.

-She takes a sip of her wine.-

Lissa: What were you babbling about, anyway? You were freaking us the hell out when you were dropped off here.

Alice: I... I'm not sure. I saw... something when I was exposed to the Glitch. Like broken fragments of history tracing spirals across the back of my eyes, or an island born into ruin and death. I still see flashes like that when I go to sleep sometimes, or even just close my eyes.

Lissa: ...Okay, you're back to kinda freaking me out.

Alice: You think that's bad? I've yet to mention the spiders with fingers for legs.

-Lissa blinks at Alice, before both burst out laughing.-

Lissa: Ah man, you're totally fucking with me.

Alice: Guilty as charged.

-She hauls herself out of bed.-

Alice: So, what have I missed?

Lissa: Well, I've been keeping the Faction afloat. Nothing new on that front, really. Haven't heard from your new superhero friends either.

Alice: They probably assumed I was not yet fit to return to duty. I should inform them that this is not the case.

-She pulls open her bedside cabinet and smiles at the Gaia helmet sitting on the shelf.-

Alice: Time to get back to work.

Halis is, contrary to popular belief, not sleeping but is in fact reading a book.

Granted, it's a children's book about how the economy should be overhauled and replaced with shiny rocks instead of Pokedollars as a mainstay currency, but still, reading is reading, right?

Accumula Town

Me: Wow... Pokémon Control is doing a really good job of getting these Furret back into the forest...

Floof: <Yeah... I can tell...>

Me: This leaves one question, though...

Piku-chan and Floof: <Oh? What is it?>

Me: Where did all these Furret come from?

Silas tossed and turned, something didn't feel right, his entire body felt like a itch without the need to scratch, his mind raced and his heart beat fast. He recalled this, and it made it hell to sleep, Silas sat up and sighed; staring at the artifact on his desk not too far off. It may well have been the reason why he couldn't sleep in these conditions, it was the only thing that alleviated that.

"Silas?"

Silas froze a bit, and looked over, Roxy was awake, she rubbed her eyes and yawned, "Something wrong?"

He ran over every available answer, but only one made sense, "Yes."

She sat up and looked over him, "Oh I remember... it's the itch isn't it?"

"Hrmph... yes."

A soft grin appeared on her face, "And you can't just fix it can you, not with me, well we could just use sep-"

"No. I just have to get through this, kicking one of us out now makes little sense."

Roxy gave it some thought and then smiled, shaking Hacks awake, "Hacks. Come on wake up."

Hacks shook himself, <huzzat?> ~Wha? Yeah?~

"Little question, you own Silas's pokeball right?"

~Yeah?~

"Which means you're Silas's trainer?"

~Yes.~

"Hmmmmmm... could we get joint custody or could I be his trainer now~?"

~You can have it, I had my fun, if I want it back I'll just ask.~

"Roxy the hell are you doing?"

"Creative solution," She responded, before in a swift motion grabbing the scarf and wrapping it around Silas's neck.

Silas blinked, <Roxy this isn't the answ-> he started pulling the scarf off, only to find himself still in mon form, <wh-wha?>

Roxy smirked and pulled the scarf on herself, <It's just a thing to help you sleep. This makes it less awkward.>

Silas stared at the grinning Slyveon, before deciding it was not worth the argument, he just wanted to sleep already. He lay back down, soon feeling Roxy lay right beside him, her ribbons now resting on him, within a few moments he was in a deep sleep.

Stormchaser Room 713

A redhead held a Luxury Ball in his hand, staring at it intently while he looked to his left. A Delphox sat beside him, nodding with resolve and placed a hand on his shoulder.

The Fire Emblem character sighed and released the grip on the top of the Ball, allowing its recipient to come out. But he didn’t, so the ball was thrown upwards and the Fennekin landed on his lap.

"Koyasa," Roy sighed. "Have we been to doting on you? Do you want some time away from us?"

<You can tell us; we’re your parents,> Sunny said, attempting to let her son be more comfortable with speaking his mind.

Koyasa leaped onto the floor and looked up at his parents. <Even if I were to be more independent from you,> he started. <What exactly is there for me? As a Pokemon by birth I don’t have that many paths in life,> he observed.

Sunny and Roy looked at each other, then back at the little fire-type, unsure of what to say about what he was saying.

With no warning, Sunny’s eyes began to water. Roy pulled her in for a hug, letting her slowly weep on his shoulder.

Can I provide for what he wants out of life if neither of us even know what he wants?

Koyasa, uncertain of what was going on, placed a paw on Sunny’s leg as if to say “I still love you."

Lila: Oh, right. She's my Mantine. She showed up on the beach with me.

-She sends Marie out from her pokeball.-

Lila: I can feel something else resurfacing slightly. Something more unpleasant...

Floof: <I don't know how Accumula Town became overrun with Furrets like yours truly...>

Me: That's fair.

Floof: <But I do know that the other Furrets will be happy to be back in the forest.>

Me: I'm sure they will be.

-The Furrets walk back into the forest-

Wild Furret: <Bye bye! It was so nice to walk here.>

Wild Furret: <We should walk here more often.>

Wild Furret: <We'll find someone who appreciates our floofiness... I know we will.>

Nico: What is it? Grodus don't do that again.

Grodus: <Fine.>

-Gabe snickers-

Marie: <Hey! That's not funny!>

Lila: It's something... I occasionally catch the end of it in my nightmares...

Marie: <That thing again? The accident?>

Lila: I think so... We're on a boat... The weather's stormy... There are pokemon flying everywhere... Then it's gone. Next thing I remember is hanging onto Marie for dear life, being smashed by wave after wave... Then we hit land. But Marie... Wasn't gonna make it... Then something happened. I don't know what it was but I think it came from me. There was this light... Marie suddenly got better... But I couldn't hold on anymore... I'd used up all my strength doing whatever that was...

-Lila seems distressed. Oddly, faint pink sparks that may be recognized as a faint heal pulse emanate from her hands.-

Marie: <Are you ok? Your hands...>

Floof: <D-Don't look at me! I'm new to this team of ours.>

Me: Anyways... I think I should try to train my psychic abilities...

-Floof unwraps himself and climbs down my leg to the floor-

-Piku-chan jumps from my shoulder-

Piku-chan and Floof: <We're ready when you are.>

Me: Okay... Here I go...

-I look down at Piku-chan and focus my mind-

-I think to myself- Concentrate, Ian... Just focus on the thing you want to lift with your mind... and concentrate...

"Affirmative Captain, clear signal."

Silas stretched, "Test number 8 of Mementos and Metaverse mechanics. So far as I can tell... this place makes no fucking sense and my sanity is stretched thin here. I feel as if I have entered a acid trip dimension made up of the human psyche."

"That's because you have! Humanity is so fickle as you yourself should know being human."

"...Seriously you can't hear that?"

"Hear what Captain?"

Silas sighed, "Ever since entering this nightmare world, I've been hearing something that sounds like my own voice, it mocks me relentlessly... yet only hear does it happen."

"Well that's because I'm you in a sense! Duh!"

"Like now."

Bishop tilted his head, "Fascinating Captain."

Silas rolled his eyes behind the mask, "Mapping this place is a impossibility and the app itself only gives so much info, so I've never gone too far, which leaves only the last bit of material needed here."

He pulled the mask off and watched as it formed a armored blaziken, "Solaire... Apparently something called a Persona, or in this case Sub-Persona that obeys my commands and will, it reminds me of-"

"Captain."

"Right. Solaire is fascinating but something about him feels... wrong, like a shirt too small..."

"Try experimenting with him. He can do things other than stab and set things on fire."

Silas grumbled, and proceeded to have Solaire run some basic exercises, stopping him at one point and pondering... he moved Solaire into a position behind him and raised a hand, Solaire took a pose and sheathed his sword, and raised his fists. Silas pointed ahead and Solaire started to use rapid fire fisticuffs.

A small smile appeared on his face, Silas felt good trying this out, until something flickered and for a second he swore there was a glove and coat sleeve over it, at that he recalled Solaire.

"This concludes the test."

Silas stepped out, "Bishop how's the footage look?"

"Uhm..."

Silas sighed, "What happened?"

Bishop showed him the camera's screen, it was nothing but static.

"Figures..."
