We really need to find somewhere safe to put this. Like a sturdy box at PEFE where we can study it and make sure someone doesn't use it for evil...

-Pent glances at Colton and rolls his eyes-

To everyone it seems like a blink, of course seeing as everyone could tell Kaiiseii was missing a eye...

Silas broke the silence first, "Whatever you say Magnus. What can we do for Corvus Corax?"

Hacks cracked up laughing as Bishop looked over, "Wait who are you then? Ferrus or Leman?"

"Why Leman?"

"Dog," Bishop responded.

Hacks still laughed, ~I can see it.~

Silas shrugged as Bishop thought some more, "Actually giving it some thought. You're definitely more of a Rogal Dorn."

"Yes," Silas responded.

Roxy shrugged, "Never cared much for Warhammer myself, I'm not big on those wargames. I like Warjack and DND though."

Silas turned back to Kaiiseii, "Don't tell me. You have designs and wish to make use of my fabber to produce the armor and such."

Halis: <Uh... what's a "2B"? Is that a reference I'm missing? Also... what's PEFE? That sounds important, and if I'm gonna be involved in this stuff, then I should probably know what you're talking about, right...?>

"Bit of a joke from Halloween," Colton summarized. "PEFE is basically a scientific coalition, like the [SCP Foundation], but real," Colton summarized.

And less full of incredibly dangerous things-kept-secret-from-the-world. It's got some of them but not that many. But still, this rock's definitely something that shouldn't just be floating around for anyone to abuse or end up getting blanked by on accident...

Halis: <Ohh... scientists that like dangerous stuff, huh? Yeah, I bet they'd love to have something like this, then. So, where's their place? I bet it's somewhere convenient, reasonable and not at all isolated, right?>

Halis starts fiddling with their scarf again.

Halis: <...Although they're probably gonna want to find a different test subject for that, since I doubt prodding and poking the same Buneary for hours on end with it would help any more than it already has.>

"... You wanna tell them or, should I?" Colton asked Pent.

There's likely a regional office, but something like this should probably go straight to HQ. You up for a teleport trip bunny?

-He smirks-

Halis: <Teleport trip? Oh boy... I should've known better. But, yeah, since I found it, I'm basically obligated to come with you anyway. I'm sure they'll have far more than enough questions to pass the time with.>

They pick up the trailing portion of their overly-long scarf and carry it over to Pent so it isn't just dragging along the ground like it has been.

Halis: <So... do I just follow you, then?>

Pewter Center

"I guess this is it," Colton sighed, feeling the Spiral Stone in his pocket. "I mean, entertaining a power fantasy has been fun, but this does need to get researched," he allowed as he stood near Pent. "Are we teleporting to the island base?"

Xatu materialized. <Just say when,> he prompted.

Halis: <Wait, what? Entertaining a power fantasy? What, did you like tricking me into thinking I was a human or something? I mean... I can kinda get it, but still, that's mean. Really shouldn't feel good about doing that unless someone literally asks for it...>

Pewter City

-Pent fiddled in his pockets for his wallet, then took out his ID card-

Ready.

Oblivion Wing

-Kaiiseii holds a hand over his mouth in mock shock.-

Kaiiseii: "HOW DID YOU KNOW?"

-He giggles a bit.-

Kaiiseii: "But yeah. I have some designs drawn up for Phantom and Spectre. I do need some help with the tech-y stuff, but I can handle the clothes myself."

Pewter Center

"More just having the control at all, not necessarily using it," Colton clarified.

They vanished with a * blepp*.

PEFE HQ

Colton, Pent and Halis appeared in a green flash.

"Lead the way," Colton allowed to Pent.

Halis looks around, intrigued.

Halis: <Huh... it looks a lot different than I thought it would. Neat.>

They try to stay near Pent, following them.

-Once they arrive, Pent takes a moment to check where they are before wandering up to a window overlooking the moving modules and intricate infrastructure that extended down into the dark depths where sight began to fail...-

Welcome to PEFE HQ.

-He steps away from the overlook windows to step up to the lobby's module console. With a swipe of his ID he called a small transit pod up from the depths and into the adjoining doorway which slid open with a soft ping-

Right then, we'll probably need to find some experts and a lab or lacking that some sort of secure storage module...

-He stepped into the pod and motioned for the others to join him as he started browsing the transit's own version of the console-

Lowell: Why yes. I did infer that, since you seemed to have Monsieur Lazarus on your person, it was quite easy. Forgive me for my oversight Mr. Losken. I do appreciate you noticing the robotic handiwork I've made for my rotom Marius.

Marius: Always a pleasure to serve.

Lowell: Before porygon came to existence some time in the 1990s, rotom were the only pokémon that could be trained to operate machinery from within. Quite handy to have them around.

Jonathan, mentally: <Yeah, they're useful when they're trained. They're more of a nuisance otherwise.>

Marius: Sir, you flatter me. Primus has done more than his fair share of service.

Lowell: It wasn't until my own invention that any other pokémon but rotoms and porygons could use a speech device, though my reduced access to research material makes my own work hard to streamline for commercial development. Now, here I am dilly-dallying again. Monsieurs, I merely came to share my praise for your work. With the addition of that painting, one of our collections is complete. Marius, if you may.

Lowell: And of course, as I've mentioned, there was, of course, the matter of payment. While Saltheby's and the republic will be getting their cut, the substantial portion that belongs to Monsieur Lazarus is ineligible because he is, well, dead. Thus, his share will go to the next of kin. There is a share that belongs to you, Monsieur Losken.

Halis was already following Pent, but they jump up a few times to try and get a better view of the console.

Halis: <So, uh... which floor is the stuff we need on? First? Second? 435th? I... don't actually know anything about this place, so I'm just following you. I bet there's neat stuff in here, though...>

They stop hopping and start daydreaming instead.

PEFE HQ

Colton entered the elevator, moving his headphones up to his ears.

"That does kind of remind me," he said. "Ammy's been considering repurposing the first pair of headphones as a communication system for her costume's mask. Do you object to that?" He asked Pent.

PEFE HQ, Transit Module

That sounds pretty dang cool, I approve.

-He hems and haws over the console before selecting a button and the pod smoothly starts descending-

We could check archival for any historical sightings, maybe run a spectral analysis...

Halis overhears the mentioning of a costume and snaps out of their daydreaming, questioning Colton.

Halis: <Wait, costume? Is there some sort of convention you're going to soon? Which one is it? I remember I got to go to one a year or two ago... it was nice.>

They look back over at Pent.

Halis: <Also... I can still hear you when you're whispering, y'know. Sensitive hearing.>

PEFE HQ

"Just a costume of a popular character to be used for raids to protect her identity," Colton summarized, not aware that he was ruining the magic and the purpose.

I'm kinda into cosplay a bit. My next project isn't ready for primetime yet but I could show you the one Colt was alluding to when there's a good time for it.

-He shrugs-

And I guess depending on how much weirdness you're used to.

Halis: <Weirdness? You think I'm worried about weirdness? That's funny, but no, I can definitely handle weirdness. Also... I assume by "raids" you mean something that you probably shouldn't be telling random people, right?>

It's hard to tell, but that second half has a faint hint of smugness about it.
