Lucius: ...No, I... I haven't. Only the ones who actually stayed with me, like Falchion and Kirk and EDI. Sometimes I think I ought to try and reach out again, but... if there's one thing that proved, it's that I'm really not cut out to be a trainer. I mean, I was on something like my fourth or fifth second chance even before that fiasco. So... yeah.

-He keeps his eyes locked on the ground, his expression melancholy.-

Kai: Oh, definitely. I've gotta be careful you don't upstage me in looking cute in my own clothes.

-They wink as they offer the coat.-

Vo: <Can you flirt any slower?>

-they adjust the Santa hat slightly-

I'm no expert, but Christmas is meant to be a season of forgiveness, isn't it? Even if you don't want to train them again, maybe you ought to reach out? Even if they're annoyed, I'm sure they miss you.

-Brie puts on the coat. It takes her a minute, and requires some help from Halcyon (or Kai)-

-Lucius nods without looking up.-

Lucius: ...Maybe. It's just... they were pretty adamant about not going along with what I was doing at the time, which is fair enough. Considering everything I did while I was with Iron, I... it's not like they have a lot of reason to think I'm a better person now. Hell, even if I am, I've got plenty of karma grinding to do before I start to crawl my way out of the arse-end of the alignment spectrum.

Kai: ...Uh, we don't have to be, like, right there while he hunts, just near enough that we can keep an eye on him. Because, y'know, we don't want the vampire Dunsparce getting too carried away.

Vo: <Oh, please, like I'd try. It's cold, and it's even worse for me because I'm a Delta. I'm not going to try to make a break for it.>

Kai: I know, you're smarter than that.

Cylus smirked at Hayon, "Been years since we went back there."

<To think, we'd go back after so long.>

"Yeah, I kinda wanna see what they'd argue there about us stopping."

<Probably something about morality.>

"Yeah... They probably would."

Cylus shrugged, "Still... I get the feeling something is coming."

Bishop spoke up, "The data stream was malformed, it wasn't completely ready, we probably got lucky with that shot."

It went unsaid but everyone was feeling pretty uneasy, even more uneasy as they exited the tunnel and drove up to the Defense cannon, only to hear the roar of more cannons, and even various moves and attacks. The cannons were coming from Omega Assault Tanks, something Silas was kind of pleased to see.

The FDF was in full force, as numerous dropships and DF Troops held the line, Silas blinked, "Uh... wow. Okay to explain to everyone, last time we did this song and dance, we had to face off against fighters and giant robots... this isn't normal here. Especially since that conquering army last time was winning."

Bishop begun to calculate possibilities, "That aside Captain, I may have a way inside the base."

Silas blinked, "Uh... Sure. Go ahead."

"We ram our way through, the soldiers here have the line but we need to get inside, we risk hurting ourselves but we've proven durable before. Especially considering that crash landing."

Ever: I mean, not to put too fine a point on it, but you didn't do a whole lot with Iron. Though I suppose two wrongs don't exactly make a right.

-they give Lucius an affectionate little headbutt-

-He smiles and wraps his arm around Ever's shoulders, pulling them closer.-

-Kai nods, gives Brie a quick cheek kiss, and starts heading out.-

-Vo's off doing his thing. Kai's keeping tabs on him via Aura Sense, possibly so that they don't actually have to see the hunting in action.-

-Brie is bundled up and standing next to Kai-

-every so often, she takes a little while to lean on them, before moving to stand on her own again-

Brie: ...Uh, is he going to have any luck? Most of the mons around here are Ice-type, you know.

Siobhan is playing Ridley, Vi Zelda, F!Robin, fittingly, Robin, and Severa Ike.

Severa is currently winning by a large margin.

F!Robin: "Do you ever get the feeling something very, very bad is about to go down?"

Vi: "Occasionally. Not right now, though."

Severa: "Robin's instincts on that are usually correct. Even if her instincts on when to block aren't."

Ike sends Robin flying off the screen.

F!Robin: "Hey, it's a game. It takes getting used to."

Lucius: I have to be careful with my powers. Too much charm and you'll just be smitten with me 24/7, and then how would you ever get anything done~?

-He places another kiss on Ever's cheek before curling up next to them.-

Kai: Yeah, that's one of the other reasons I'm nearby, in case he gets his ass kicked. Metaphorically, since, y'know. Snake. If something particularly big pops up, I'll probably lend a hand, but other than that, we'd both prefer keeping the distance.

-a sleepy, somewhat disheveled looking young man with bedhead-messed white hair shuffles through the halls in a pair of Eevee-patterned pajamas, a static-winged Vivillon perched on his shoulder like a parrot-

Kai: ...I, uh, assume that's a "no". Apparently, like... two-three years ago, another glitch was running around here in Sinnoh, causing trouble. It was while I was just starting out as a Frontier apprentice, after the team left Hoenn, so I was only around for bits and pieces of it myself.

I wasn't in Sinnoh then, I was trying to solve some problems in Hoenn. It's sort of a long story. I'm glad you're all alright, though.

Is that how Ever ended up in Alola? They were really confused about it when I asked.

"So [Leeroy Jenkins]?" Lucario and Colton chorused, the former drawing an Aura Sphere, staring at it like he was expecting to know how to do a Kamehameha like Silas and the latter his Dark Pulse Orbitar, although he seemed to be treating it like a [Spirit Ball]. His other hand had his Night Slash Claw but he was holding his hands like he was about to do a [Wolf Fang Fist].

"Just say when and we can get to the fun part," Lucario said as his Aura Sphere became a Focus Blast and an Expert Belt appeared over his eyes.

Hearthome City, Present

A man of Sinnoan descent in dark blue clothes was seen wandering through the streets, counting something down as he looked through the houses on the street. There was one that caught his interest, if his pausing and approaching the door was any indication. He lifted a hand and knocked on the door, nervously fiddling with the black bands on his wrists.

Eventually some lady answered the door with an ask of "Can I help you?"

"Does Andrew Rekkana still live here?" He eventually asked, fiddling with something under his collar.

"I'm his mom," the woman started. "What do you want with him?"

"I'm an old friend. Just wanted to say hello."

"Alright," Mrs. Rekkana allowed. "He's in the basement. I'll make you some hot chocolate."

"Much appreciated," he said. "Oh, where are my manners? I'm... Jake Cramen."

Stormchaser, Daydre's Room

Daydre holds up her hand and focuses. She's done this a few times now, and been rewarded with the grand prize of absolutely nothing. This time is no different. Daydre sighs and collapses back into bed.

... I'm feeling more and more like there's some kind of big cosmic joke being played on me. She puts her hand down.

...

A burst of ice-blue light explodes directly above Daydre, and a foot is planted firmly on her throat. Daydre tries to yell in surprise, but all that comes out is a wet sounding gurgle. The light disperses, revealing the familiar forms of a certain someone and her Alolan Ninetales.

Ama: ".. It was more annoying than I expected, getting here. But I did it." She shrugs. "Hellebore. Ice over the door."

Hellebore hesitates a moment, and there's a charged silence. But eventually she relents, and the door is frozen shut.

Ama smiles down at Daydre tiredly. It's odd seeing an expression that's so familiar, yet so alien. But the fog around Daydre's consciousness is starting to ebb forward so she doesn't have much time to dwell on that.

Ama: "I'll make it quick, at least." She grinds in her foot harder.

Daydre opens her mouth, but all that comes out is quiet choking noises. She reaches for something, anything, that can help her, but there's no lucky pokeball belt to help her this time. All she succeeds in doing is knocking a lamp off the nighstand.

Outside

Anyone nearby will probably hear the sound of a crash coming from Daydre's room. And also probably find it odd that the door is like, iced over.

Arthur takes notice and thanks to experience recognizes this is unusual, he in a instant lets out Hayden, "Hayden. Break down the door!"

Hayden nodded and proceeded to use Hammer Arm on the door.
