Herbert: Alright, here goes... only one way to see if this thing works.

Maul: <It's working. Mostly.>

Someone had been listening on the conversation by coincidence and upon it's conclusion he started going somewhere else.

At present, Rex and his Pokémon are near the Anistar Sundial. Lian and Maitake seemed to be playing some kind of game of tag around the stone itself, while Ohm and Damian looked out over the sea.
And, off to the side, Rex sat in silent contemplation, holding onto Sahara as Rascal settled into his lap, Kim seated beside the three of them in her Lucario form.
Lucario!Kim: <Is everything okay, Rex?>
Rex: Yeah, I'm fine. I just need some time to think over what mom said yesterday.
Lucario!Kim: <Alright... But, where is your mom, anyway?>
Rex: She and Lyra went sightseeing. They said they'll be back this later this evening.

-Upon arriving at the route, Herbert sticks to the top of the cliffs, keeping his eye out for a large group of mons until he finally spots one.-
Herbert: Hold up. I think we've finally found our Malamar.
-Indeed, there is a Malamar amongst the crowd of mons, hovering by the river with a Lucario by his side and clutching a black goblet in one of his appendages.-
Malamar: <Hmm... this landscape isn't to my liking. It has the stench of humans about it.>
Kirk: <Agreed, Supreme Aquarian Overlord!>
Malamar: <Be quiet. Your voice isn't nearly as glorious as mine. As eloquent as my speeches are, if I wanted them parroted back to me, I would have a Chatot by my side instead.>
Herbert: Hard to believe something so cute and squiddy and adorable could be so nefarious... alright, Eowyn, time to do your thing.

I've been getting a lot of... bitterness from you lately.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.
"Eskay used Fly!" *is shot immediately after that*
Route 15 – Past
Eridanus: I'll leave you on your own, because... it'd be silly if I fought against myself. Also I can see how you think on your own. Because who knows...
Fox: <I'll go easy on you, newbie. Or not.>
Vivi: <Wait, me newbie? Oh you->
Vivi didn't waste time as started by using its tail to grab Fox and throw him into hard ground.
Fox repaid by using its pincers to launch him into the sky and sending bunch of high velocity mud projectiles. Sending him even further into the sky.
Vivi took its time to build up momentum and attack Fox, who just barely avoided the attack.
Vivi's next move was launching a volley of fireballs... which flew into Fox's sand tornado, and flew all over the place, hitting both sides. One of them burned Fox, though not that it will restrain him much.
Vivi: <Ha! The tornado has turned against you!>
Fox: <So you wanna play this way, eh? Okay. Gotta go harder...>
Fox takes time to prepare his attack, while Vivi goes with old fashioned frontal attack, hitting Fox many, many times and then retreats to safe distance. Fox meanwhile disappeared, having dug tunnel underground.
Vivi tried locating Fox, but to no avail. Then an opening in the ground. Aaaand Fox is now inside his own tornado!
Fox: <You gotta improvise. Or else your enemy will learn your strategy.>
Vivi started setting things on fire and throwing them into tornado. That was successful to some degree... then the smoke disappears and Fox crashes into Vivi, launching the latter back by a good distance, right into tree.
Vivi: <Ow... Hey, where's my stick? *beat* Oh, it's there. NOW THAT WASN'T VERY NICE!>
Vivi starts to swing its stick around, whispering something... and then pointing at Fox! A sudden gust of heated air strikes Fox, pushing him backwards.
Fox: <Nice trick! But... you're already done. Sorry.>
WHAM! Fox charged and collided with Vivi, which is now lying unconscious.
Denshi: <And the winner of this battle is... Fox the Trapinch!>
