-Sees a Spheal-

Oh cool, a Monk Spheal.

Better fix that then...

-Jane stares at DS for a bit, wondering if now she can spend time with her like Wolf wanted her to-

- Looks around at some of the wild Pokémon -

(thinking) Hmm... Nah, from what I've read, there aren't any wild Seel in Oblivia.

-appears next to everyone at Mt. Sorbet- I-I-It's cold! -reaches into backpack, pulls out light-blue ski jacket, and puts it on- Much better.

High five if you like to ski!

(thinking) If Latias were here, she'd probably try to take these Pokémon home with her. But, since it is so cold, I think she prefers staying behind and keeping Goggles company.

... I wonder what those two are doing?

I was supposed to back when I was 17, but then I got distracted by Pokemon Diamond.

Yeah, it's pretty cold Meddler.

-Is busy rotating the Spheal-

-suddenly, a bunch of graphic images pop into DS's head of what Goggles and Latias could be doing. . . nah, just kidding.

-For a few minutes, there's nothing but silence as we scan the skies for the Rainbow Bird.-

Raikou: <Nya, master did see the signal, didn't he?>

Entei: <Master can detect the signal from anywhere. Either something's happened to master to prevent him from getting here, or he's ignoring us...And master wouldn't ignore us.>

-Suicune says nothing, focusing all her attention on the horizon.

I listen carefully, trying to see if I can hear Ho-oh before I can see him, when I hear a very faint cry.-

...It's him! I just heard him!

Suicune: <WHAT? Really?!>

Yes! It was him! I'm sure of it!

Raikou: <NYA! IT'S HIM!>

-Raikou points a paw to the north. Me, Entei and Suicune all turn to look at the same time.

The sight is unmistakable. Ho-oh is there, his magnificent wings flapping slowly as he flies through the sky towards the platform, his brilliant tail feathers leaving a beautiful rainbow in his wake. Even though all of us have seen him before, the sight of the bird is still enough to take our breath away.

After what seems like hours, the legendary arrives at the platform, choosing simply to hover a few feet away from the edge rather then landing on it's surface.

All of the beasts say nothing, simply staring in a mixture of awe and reverence.-

Ho-oh: Hello.

-Ho-oh smiles warmly at us.-

Ho-oh: It's so good to see you all again.

-Suicune steps forward slightly. It seems to me as if she's on the verge of tears.-

Suicune: <...Master...>

-The beast smiles, a single tear of joy slipping down her face.-

Ho-oh: Suicune...I'm so happy to see you.

Entei: <Master...I'm just so...>

Raikou: <I'm...I'm...>

Ho-oh: Hush. You don't have to say anything.

-Ho-oh lands on the platform, lowing his head.-

Ho-oh: Come here, all of you.

-Suicune smiles, then lovingly rubs her body against Ho-oh's head, Raikou and Entei soon joining her.

Oh wow. They must really care about each other. It's...It's really touching.

-I can't help but smile at all of this.-

-Stops playing with the Spheal-

Something feels weird.

- Looks over at Tagg -

Hmm?

I think Luke's succeeded, DS.

I'm beginning to suspect you have some minor form of clairvoyance, Tagg.

You guys didn't see the rainbow light shoot into the sky?

-Turns to Jane-

Maybe I do. It doesn't change anything though.

Oh that. So. . . Luke can shoot rainbows out of his hands?

Oh, yeah. I think I saw that...

Are we still in the cave part, or are we outside at the part with the snow?

I believe we're in the snowy part at the moment.

No Meddler, Luke just used the Rainbow Dais to summon Ho-Oh.

Oh, okay. It would be cool if he could though, don't you think?

What use would shooting rainbows out of my hands be? Apart from looking cool, obviously.

Ho-oh: You're awfully quiet, Luke. Is something the matter?

...Huh? Oh no, I'm sorry. I didn't want to interrupt your reunion.

Ho-oh: Ah. How considerate.

-Ho-oh raises his head again. The beasts return to their positions, saying nothing, but all looking overjoyed.-

Ho-oh: So you managed to succeed in gathering the beasts of Oblivia. Once again, I see my trust in you and your friends is well placed. Although, I must say, I do find it odd that none of your Pokémon are out with you.

Oh, I'm sorry, it's just it's a bit of a small platform, and-

Ho-oh: No, no! There's no need to apologise. It would be a bit crowded with your team and everyone else all on this platform. In hindsight, I probably should have chosen a more suitable sight to be summoned from. So I'm to blame, really.

Ho-oh: But enough about my poor planning. Luke, you have summoned me here because this region faces a crisis, does it not?

Yes, the Pokémon Pinchers have returned. And they've...They've stolen Manaphy.

Ho-oh: Hmm. This is a very serious matter. I'm not entirely sure why the Pokémon Pinchers would target Manaphy. But it can't be for anything good, that I am certain.
