-Flonne is struck by the claw, and is overwhelmed by the Ferroseed's mettle. And metal.-

Dune: Flonne, return! Go, Etna- Oh, wait, darnit!

-Dune sends out Etna before he remembers the Toxic Spikes.-

Etna: <Ow ow ow ow ow! Gah, these things are disgusting!>

Dune: Yeah, I know, I'm sorry! Use Fire Fang!

-Etna rushes at the Ferroseed, her fangs alight with flames.-

Lumiose City

Mezzo: Yeah, me too.

Xel'lotath: <Then you had best be swift, lest our power, and our faith in you, wanes to oblivion. It will never happen. I have seen differently...>

-Mezzo then notices Vierr-

Mezzo: Oh, hi again. Do you know anything about squiddy things?

Tower of Mastery

Forte: Ready to give up?

Kyle: Not a chance! Come on, Silver!

-Kyle sends out his Alakazam, holding a pair of silver spoons and wearing a particular stone around his neck-

Kyle: Hey, Jen! Give me the thing!

Jenna: Ugh, fine.

Forte: What thing?

-Jenna tosses a black bracelet to Kyle; he slips it on and does a pose, touching his finger to the stone on the bracelet-

-the stone on Silver's neck glows, and expands into a cocoon-like object that envelops him-

-and a few moments later, it breaks, revealing a levitating Alakazam with a longer beard and five silver spoons-

Forte: What was that?

Lily: I guess that means we have what it takes after all.

Forte: Whatever! Leaflet, finish it off with an X-Scissor!

-Leaflet runs toward Silver, but suddenly finds himself caught in midair-

Silver: <It's no use!>

Leaflet: <Wha?>

Silver: <Take this!>

-Silver hurls Leaflet at the wall, knocking him out instantly-

Forte: No way...

Lumiose City

-Ever waves to Vierr-

Ephemera: -waves an Aipom at the Espurr-

Coumarine City

Skye: I've been... okay, I guess. Diane's staying back in Shalour for a while because of the Tower of Mastery. For once, she's taking interest in a tower other than wanting to dive off of it.

Lumiose City

-Vierr blinks, then shudders-

Vierr: I know more about squiddy things than I ever wanted to...

-Khoshekh looks at Mezzo, then decides to balance himself on his head... on top of Vierr's head.-

Psyche smiles. "Oh, yes! Isn't that the one that has the Mega Evolution nuts? I wanted to go, but I don't have that weird Key Stone thing."

-The Ferroseed is struck by the Fire Fang, falling to low health and damaging Etna with his Iron Barbs in the process-

Ferroseed: <Ugh, another one...>

-It tries using Rollout on Etna-

Yeah, we've met. Channah, right?

Coumarine Gym

-Etna is bombarded with damage, from the poison, barbs, and Rollout, leaving her almost completely drained. Almost.-

Dune: Fire Fang again!

Etna: <Ugh... I had better... be getting... pudding after this.>

-The Flareon rushes the Ferroseed again.-

Lumiose City

Mezzo: Good. Do you know how to evolve one?

Tower of Mastery

-at this point, Marine walks back in-

Marine: <Ugh, that was a long walk.>

Forte: Marine! Get in here and use—

Kyle: Silver, Psychic!

Silver: <How about this?>

-Silver blasts Marine with a massive shockwave of psychic energy, fainting him instantly-

Forte: Gah! He's fast!

-Forte sends out Electro-

Forte: Paralyze him with a Thunder Wave!

Electro: <But that's bor—>

Forte: Just do it!

Electro: <Fine...>

-Electro sends a weak electrical pulse at Silver, which does absolutely nothing-

Forte: Hey, why didn't it work?

Kyle: Because you're an idiot! Now, Silver, finish it!

Silver: <Give up!>

-Silver blasts Electro with a Psychic, knocking her out-

Forte: Fireball, get in there with another Flare Blitz!

Fireball: <All right!>

-Fireball rushes at Silver only to find himself held in midair again-

Silver: <Take this!>

-and thrown against the wall, knocking him out-

Forte: Aaargh! Icicle, come on!

-Forte sends out Icicle-

Icicle: <I didn't even get to finish my greeting!>

Kyle: Focus Blast!

Silver: <Take this!>

-Silver forms a ball of silvery aura in between his spoons, then launches it straight at Icicle, who faints instantly-

Forte: You've got to be kidding me! Shadow, do something!

Shadow: <What?>

-Lily snaps her finger-

Lily: Wait, that's where I know you from! You're Mezzy's brother!

Jenna: Lily, that's a girl.

Lily: But don't you remember? When you accidentally stole an Espeon named Shadow?

Jenna: Honestly, I'd very much like to forget that.

Shadow: <As would I.>

Kyle: End it now with Hidden Power!

Silver: <Now, let's finish it!>

Shadow: <What?>

-Silver charges a ball of Dark energy in each of his spoons, then launches them all at Shadow-

Shadow: <Ugh, Maria...>

Forte: No way...

Kyle: See, there's no way you could ever beat me!

-at this point, Korrina happens to come down the stairs-

Korrina: Oh, you four got it to work?

Matthew: Yeah! It was awesome!

Korrina: That's the power of Mega Evolution! I know you'll be able to master it!

-Forte just sighs and walks away-

-The Ferroseed is bit again, fainting, though also dealing damage to Etna via Iron Barbs-

Ramos: "Yeh're up, Gogoat!"

-A Gogoat is sent out-

Gogoat: <Hmph.>

-Between the barbs and poison, Etna is down.-

Dune: Alright then, one last go... Let'd do this, Candace!

-The green Golbat takes the field.-

Candace: <Come on, bring it! There's no way I can lose!>

Dune: Poison Fang!

-Candace dives at the Gogoat, aiming for his neck with venom-coated fangs.-

Psyche pats. "I'm sure she'll get over it soon. :P"

Mezzo: Sure, if by "bugging me about it" you mean "inverting my vision and refusing to turn it back until she evolves".

Coumarine Gym

-The Gogoat is struck by the Poison Fsng, taking a fair bit of damage-

Gogoat: <Is that all you can do? I, the hard-working Gogoat, shall defeat you.>

-The Gogoat uses Rock Slide-

-Decides to forgo annoyance in favor of exasperation-

The first one was closer, it's Tagg.

Candace: <Oh come on, I can take this! Hrk!>

-Candace takes the attack head on.-

Dune: Candace, be careful! You can't do that forever!

Candace: <I don't need to!>

Dune: Gah, fine. Use Brave Bird!

-The Golbat flies high into the air before divebombing the Gogoat with reckless abandon.-

Skye: This is the sort of thing I don't think she does get over... As a PEFE Researcher, she specializes in researching form changes in Pokemon. And considering Mega Evolution is exactly that, it could take months for her to stop fangirling about it.

Lumiose City

Vierr: ...I know the pain. At least it's not constantly rotating for you. Maybe we could take a chance and try to get... them to evolve in a battle?

-Khoshekh falls off of Vierr's head. Unlike most cats, he makes a point to land upside-down.-

Psyche pats Skye. "Ah well... I wish i knew what to tell ya, hon. :/"

Skye: I just hope she calms down about it enough to keep traveling while she's researching it.

-He sends out Snimm, whose fur bristles upon seeing Xel'lotath-

Vierr: So—

???: <The blue-haired girl's vision is not the only thing that can be inverted.>

Vierr: ...Oh, no no no no, you are not—

-And he clutches his head as Nightmare alters the area around Vierr and Mezzo-
