ITT: We are all Pokémon Trainers

<He was the first Fighting-type I ever really battled and set the tone for the rest.>

<Most of the Pokemon in and around Lavender Town were at most somethat challenging, even the Bugs burned easily.>

Coulombia City, Dockside

Pi lightly steps off the boat.

<Jack: "So, what should we do, bro?">

"Spread out, get the lay of the land. Report at the park in half a day."

<Jack: "You heard bro! Let's move people!">

Pi's team fans out in a circle, to scout out the land.

"Alright then, what to do with myself..."

He wanders away, into the city proper.

Coulombia City, Downtown

Pi wanders the alleyways, trying to get a feel of the city.

Suddenly, he comes across a gang fight.

Side A Thug 1: "COME AT ME!"

Side B Thug 1: "Shit, there's too many of them."

Knives and moves flash in the darkness, as Pokemon and human attack.

"..."

Faced with this image of violence, Pi's memories and flashbacks weaken his resolve...

And Madness seizes his chance.

"   Well well well. What's all this, then?   "

At that, both sides turn towards, for lack of a better name, Pi.

Side A Thug A: "Fuck off, pretty boy."

"My my. Such language. I ought to punish such naughty behavior."

He drops the briefcase, flipping it open at the same time.

Slowly, with almost leisure, he strips off his longcoat.

Side A Thug 1: "The fuck are you doing?"

They slowly start moving towards him.

Still moving unhurriedly, Pi takes out the strange suit.

It consists of a pair of metal gloves and boots, attached to a motorpack by a bending armature.

He slips it on, and flicks the switch at the back, starting the motor.

Side B Thug B: "The hell?"

"I forgot about this old toy, for a while."

Reaching deep into Pi's satchel, he extracts the black ball labeled "Obitus."

"Oh Obitus~! Come out and play~!"

He smashes it against the wall, releasing a mass of crackling, electrically charged Umbrate.

Gradually, eyes form within the mass.

It looks around slowly.

When it notices Pi, wearing the suit, it flies over and possess it.

"That's a good little Rotom."

The thugs have all paused, unsure of how to proceed in the face of these strange developments.

"Systems check."

"What's that? A bit rusty? No, it's like riding a bike."

Suddenly, he flashsteps forward, sending the nearest thug flying.

"   YOU NEVER REALLY FORGET.   "

With this flash of motion, the thugs are all shocked out of their stupor.

Side A Thug 1: "GET HIM!"

They all lash out at him, some with knives, others with lead pipes and baseball bats.

"Obitus, Protect."

A green dome flashes into existence around Pi, blocking all of the thugs strikes.

"Alright, time for my favorite! Rotom-Ball!"

He extends both hands out, palms up.

On the right, a ball of purple Obscura begins to swirl into existence, forming a Shadow-Ball.

On the left, electricity begins to concentrate, creating an Electro-Ball.

Pi flashsteps backwards, then puts his hands together behind him in classic Kamehamehadoken form.

"HRRRAAAAH!"

The two balls fuse slowly, forming a mass of swirling electricity and Umbrate, much like the make up of a Rotom.

"GRAH!"

He flings his hands forward, releasing the ball at the thugs.

It flies forwards, exploding in their midst.

The thugs go flying, littering the alley way with unconscious bodies.

"Now, to finish them o- URK!"

Pi, coming to his senses, fights off Madness.

"NO! I WILL NOT KILL AGAIN!"

Spectral Madness: "Awww. Such a shame. Oh well, there's always next time."

"THERE WON'T BE A NEXT TIME!"

Madness: "Oh, there'll always be a next time, until I finally take over for good. Ciao~!"

"Shit."

Quickly stripping off the suit, he shoves it back into the briefcase, locking it tight.

"I'm going to need a new ball."

He dons his longcoat and runs, as sirens approach.

"Shit. Goddamn explosion alerted the cops."

He spends the next couple of hours dodging suspicion in various ways.

Phoenix: Do not let that color your experience. The majority of Fighting types I know are lovely.

-Dune has the team assembled in his room.-

Dune: Alright guys, this is the last stretch before we enter the Holonian magnetic storm. There, Pokéballs short out, and will be nonfunctional. Therefore, everyone will be out of their Pokéballs for the duration of our stay.

-The team stares blankly.-

Dune: So... pretty much what we already do.

-Galvani wanders outside and looks northward yet again.-

Lady: I was wandering about, thinking about things, and I'm here, and not in Joulant! What happened?

-she sighs, flustered-

Oh, you wouldn't know.

-she takes Jack's sight in-

Ah, that's right. I've seen you before.

-she bows slightly-

My name is Lady Alice Black. Lady Black for short, and Lady is an even shorter option. Call me what you want.

Who may you be?

<"My name is Jack. Jack Skelington, in full, Miss Alice.">

-Lady chuckles-

I've never been called that before.

That's an interesting name you have, Jack.

Would you happen to know where Joulant would be from here?

<"South, maybe? I'm not sure, we just got off the boat.">

He clears his, for a lack of a better term, throat.

<"Would you mind if I bought you a drink?">

...what do we drink, exactly?

-Caliburn is flying around, taking his probably last flight for a while-

Caliburn:-sighs- <I wish I wasn't going to be grounded for the entire time here...Or at least limited. Ironic that the magnetic storms affect the steel bird negatively...>

Gogie: <She was the one who was trying to do it, but it was partially because of him...>

<And how does who planned it affect my fear?>

<"I don't know about what we may drink naturally, Miss Alice, but I myself have taken a liking to human alcohol.">

-Phoenix sighs-

I most likely should not attempt to rationalize it. The point is, Fighting types are not uniformly horrible.

-Lady thinks for a moment-

I've never had that, actually. I figure I should try.

He floats over, then around back.

<"I do hope you won't mind if I steal them, Miss Alice. If we went in the front way, we'd likely just cause a minor panic.">

Phoenix: Understood.

I am afraid I am not a psychologist. What would you suggest be done?

-Lady smiles-

Don't worry. Last I checked, burning souls isn't legal.

-Caliburn sees Skye, and flies down to her tree-

-Meanwhile, Magellan is with Straw, helping him map out the islands-
