No suggestions, then?
Yeah, selling. Good riddance XD
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Meh, I liked the series for what it was, but I do prefer the battle system for Devil May Cry, Bayonetta and from what I've seen so far, Asuras Wrath.

Seconding, thirding, fourthing, nthing.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I made it to shortly after you rescued Athena's oracle or whatever in the first game before just getting bored of it.
One thing that hasn't been brought up that I absolutely loathed was the magic system. Devil May Cry works on a meter you restore by attacking enemies, and thus encourages you to use it whenever you need to. God Of War just uses an archaic MP bar that can only be restored through rare power ups and the occasional checkpoint, which pretty much encourages saving them until you fight a boss.
"If you're out here why do I miss you so much?"So does anyone have something positive to say about the series, or is this decaying into a complaints thread?
I would have loved it had it not been for how glitchy and wonky as hell it was. Any game that wants to render itself unplaylable probably doesn't want me playing it.
And that stupid derail caused by Indigo Dingo? That's why. Indigo Dingo.
I was ok with the game as far as gameplay is concerned, but my money stays on Hideki Kamiya's work.

ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I love this series. :D Music's awesome, and the action's simple but fun, which combines with a surprisingly creative level design team with a real ability to generate epic environments and senarios which are just about one guy hitting four or five things.
This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet.yeah, the musics great. One of the bonus vids you unlock by completing the third one actually talks about how the orchestra doing the stuff for GoW actually loved doing their stuff for this game because it gave them a chance to go balls to the wall all out with the epic music, which I thought was really neat.
XP granted for befriending a giant magical spider!Just a bump to say that Chains of Olympus and Ghosts of Sparda are being ported to PS 3 as God of War Collection Volume 2.
(Also, I like Bayonetta, Devil May Cry AND God of War (and Dante's Inferno))
This is the worst awesome game I've ever played.
Likes many underrated webcomicsI really, really want to like the series. But well, read the top of this page.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I've only fully played the third game. On one hand the scale of the battles, the graphics, the soundtrack and the brutal finishers are all awesome. On the other, the combat quickly gets repetitive (four near-identical weapons don't help), the platforming sucks and the story is the biggest shitdump I've ever seen. All in all, I'd give it a 7/10, maybe.
Likes many underrated webcomicsOkay, I just finished III and looked over the Headscratchers page. Why again did Kratos need to open Pandora's Box again?

Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. So he could defeat Ares as a giant.
Watch SymphogearNo I meant in the third game.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.I believe it's so that he could use that same power to take out Zeus. Although, considering his god count in that game, you have to wonder why he bothered...
I guess we could go... wherever we please.Because Zeus is fearsome? You have to know that Zeus screwed Kratos over for no less than 2 times. One for draining him with a cunning sword, another one for using Athena as a meat shield, giving him a guilty run for the money. If that's not enough, then consider how he fried Gaia's hand
What profit is it to a man, when he gains his money, but loses his internet? Anonymous 16:26 I believe...Athena jumped in the way on her own, I'm pretty sure.
Also, Kratos kinda screwed up first when he started doing the exact thing that put Ares on the chopping block in the first place.

I think it's safe to call that a clear improvement
Except [condescending response follows]. Because [sarcasm here]. You do understand [snark], right? POTHOLE TO SARCASM MODEAnd God of War just became 20% more interesting to me.

Good lord, what a pain.
Alright, so I'm at the Challenge of Poseidon, battling that wolfpack of Cerberus that just grows and grows and grows.
this fight lasts me 20 minutes. This is a really, really repetitive fight. You have little recourse except to guard camp , toss the pups to stun anyone and beat the crap of out everyone with Rage of the Gods. It takes me 4 tries. Each time I beat the whole lot of them, the game refuses to load and break the barriers.
I am this close to selling the trilogy on general principle. Should I?
