I'm not saying they *shouldn't* do it. Just that they probably won't.

Where can they really go from the end of this anyway? That the "Eternal" Alliance and all those ships just one day fucked off, leaving the Sith and Republic to finish the war, the Republic beats the Sith, and everything just goes on?

Well that & why apparently SWTOR has a spotty rep?

It had a rough start and never really gained traction after that. MM Os are an inherently social thing, and without that uptake it was hard for it to keep the players it had. People might like the game, but they never played it week after week, month after month the way a subscription-based service was quote-unquote 'supposed to', so even though it's quite good, it's never really been considered the success that an MMO with the Star Wars license was supposed to be.

A lot of hardcore MMO fans also never really liked the mechanics or balance of the game. I can't speak to that, since if anything I'd enjoy the gameplay more if it was less of an MMO treadmill, but I'm not the demographic to which they need to appeal.

I can count quite a few offensive things they've done over the game's lifetime, most recently being that they removed all achievements related to their Dark versus Light event.

Which defeats the entire point of having achievements. That, along with one of your companions definitely dying in their second branch and the obscenely grind heavy endgame, turned me off the game entirely.

For me personally, I did like the game.....whenever it wasn't an MMO. It real damn shame since I personally think the game is legitimately interesting but it should have never come to the expense of the KOTOR series. Especially what they did with Revan but that's whole another mine field that's been discuss enough already.

There is also the part where the merged story feels like a bit odd direction for Bounty Hunter and Smuggler. I could see both imperial officer and republic soldier being the leader of an alliance, but not some chosen hero destined to take the eternal throne.

Really can't help but feel like if there wasn't an MMO the story would have amazing lore. I mean I can't how complicated it is to have Jeasa to return because not everyone had her become a Sith. Not to mention Khem's dilemma.

For Sith Warrior it would be just a matter of adapting dialogue to fit her disposition. Though I could also see the jedi version darkening a bit without sith warrior around. The real problem is deciding what she she for the other classes that find her.

For Khem he has returned, but not sure if it is really him or a replica though since I have not played Sith Sorcerer yet. I also want Mako back so she can get back together with Torian in the Bounty Hunter story.

That and my Jedi Consular needs to reunite with Felix Iresso.

It's not Khem Val, it's a different Dashade that you recruit.

The ending of Khem's story actually has the option of trapping his mind and leaving it to your old mentor, and having to pick which option is 'canon' is probably why he hasn't returned.

Yeah and from what I have heard there is no way to avoid him stabbing you in the back no matter how good of a leader the player character is.

Honestly don't think I'm going to get that far. I tried playing again, but then I got to the "ally with Republic or Sith" choice, and was completely turned off the game again.

Finished first two chapters of sith inquisitor using a twi'lek female. Seems like a lot of sith seem to want her dead.

I did enjoy having the character attempt to mend a broken relationship. Would have been cool if Zash had been semi successful, but only in getting in your head not taking control since it would make for interesting conversation with the emperor later.

Though I had initially expected that chapter 3 would have been the emergence of a new with rival.

Question: if all I'm interested in is story content and maybe some fashion, how solo-friendly is this overall?

As someone that plays solo overall pretty friendly. Use your heal skills between fights until you get your first companion and after that set AI companion to healer and you should be fine.

Flashpoint missions which have stories are recommended at higher level solo, but they do come with an extra help for healing when done solo now.

The only thing most classes can't do solo is fight world bosses , but they are only needed for one optional mission. From what I have heard sith warrior with the right equipment and skills can do a lot of damage

I'd say that anything save the bosses in 60+ content can be done with any sort of companion. Healing isn't needed when you have a much faster kill speed than the opponent.

In addition to what was already said, the later expansions may as well be single-player games.
