Doublepost: Gold Pride cards are revealed and the deck is a REDLINE refernce. Honelsy it makes for an appropriate basis for a TCG-first theme.

Yeah, the Nytro cards are by far my favorite out of these. Nytro Head itself is really splashable on its own. A level 8 monster that can summon itself and does non-targeting removal as a quick effect?

Though I do have a question as to what it means by "adjacent spell and trap card zones".

Presumably the backrow zones of the adjacent columns.

It's to cover corner cases where the token ends up in the backrow somehow. Like via Relinquished or something like that.

Transcendrakes are rising and roaring omto the scene!

They also bring retrains to classic level 6 dinos of Megagrowler, Frostasaurus, and Lancephorhynchus (even tho that one is from arc v)

This honestly feels like the perfect deck for Ryuzaki. It's got his classic Dinosaur's like Megazowler getting upgrades, it can be used with Dragon monsters like his ace, this could probably be a good deck for him to use in Duel Links or Master Duel.

Tearlaments got Dragon Ruler-level whipped, dear God. Entirely deserved, but still!

If the OCG list is anything to go by, theyll be fine, but theyve no doubt been burnt hard by this list. Not only that but eith halq gone, the tuners are coming back.

Yeah the thing about Tear is that... nothing is really enough to kill it. I think it's an overall worse place than it is in the OCG, but it's still the best deck in the OCG, so there's a lot of room to fall there.

It's undoubtedly weakened in a major way- likely by enough that it's not tier zero anymore- but I don't think it's dead.

They finally hit Scythe and the Barrier Statue, too. Kind of too little too late but hey.

[Head Desk] They couldn't have left Kitkallos at 1? Now if you wanna play Rulkallos you gotta use a fusion sub like Swamp King. And I see they had no issue leaving the Field Spell and Heart at 3, no they only hit the waifu's.

TBF the monsters tend to be the most important part of the deck. Also, I don't think they were aiming to keep the deck playable with these hits.

Can you believe that there are some people who think Tear 0 was a good thing for the game?

Gonna be honest, if I was in charge of it, every card with Tearalament in the name would've been banned entirely. Overkill? Yes, completely. That's the punishment for any Tier 0 deck.

I wouldn't go that far...I'd instead go straight for the errata and put locks on them so xenophobic it'd make even the GOP blush! I'm taking clauses in the vein go f a slightly more lenient Red-Eyes Fusion (in that you can at least summon the in-theme monsters more than once that turn)

[up]x3 All that would do is alienate the players who spent money on the decks and give them less incentive to invest in any new deck that might be "Tier 0" if at any point it will just become banned. Not to mention alienate the players who use the deck casually.

Since I always type it out anyway(if it isn't typed out here);

TCG Forbidden Limited List February 13th 2023

  • Newly Forbidden:
    • Artifact Scythe
    • Barrier Statue of the Stormwinds
    • Tearlaments Kitkallos
    • Spright Elf

  • Newly Limited:
    • Agido the Ancient Sentinel
    • Kelbek the Ancient Vanguard
    • Keldo the Sacred Protector
    • Mudora the Sword Oracle
    • Tearlaments Havnis
    • Tearlaments Merli
    • Tearlaments Scheiren
    • Ancient Fairy Dragon (effective March 10th, 2023)

  • No Longer Limited:
    • Destrudo the Lost Dragon’s Frisson
    • Jet Synchron
    • Mecha Phantom Beast O-Lion
    • Servant of Endymion
    • True King Lithosagym, the Disaster
    • Yata-Garasu
    • SPYRAL Resort

And the link itself(as part of my routine).

That said, sweet list. Hits stuff hard and moves things on, and gives a lot of stuff back too. Far better than I expected, I admit. I finally got Lightsoagym back at 3, which means I can revive a deck. The lack of Glow-Up Bulb still hurts, though.

...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.

I don't think Lightsoagym should go back to 3 when we have Dino support coming in the near future, but otherwise I have no complaints about the list.

I think every Konami employee should have the right to design a Tier 0 deck, but under the pre-agreed condition that they lose their job if they do it. This way, Tier 0 decks will be only made by people who have a cause and vision they believe in above their own livelihood. To a more artistic era of Yugioh gameplay.

In other news. If I had a complaint about the new dino archtype, its that the Level 12s feels rather...underwhelming ATK wise.

Like I get it, the stat distribution is (sum of base form stats+2000) and that didn't allow for much if they want to have a DEF, but I feel they are the latest in a line of the recent level twelves with an ATK stat that feels more at home in the 8, maybe 9 range, rather than that is presumed to be a peer to the likes of BEUD, DMK and FGD (also see: Herald of Ultimateness).

I guess if anything, it just proves how arbitrarily levels really are when they don't even correlate to an ATK threshold past a certain point,

[up][up]I highly doubt individual employees get to design an entire archetype without being vetted by higher-ups.

The new Magician of Faith is, as DPYGO said, soooo bad.

A tribute set flip effect monster. If it's effect doesn't get negated, you can return one spell card, then you can set another of itself or regular Magician of Faith.
