Sorry to ask this, but I wonder what's with some tropers' insistence of treating the mini Dark Matters as separate from the whole (looking @ the character page)
Or okay, more like the Dark Matter from Dream Land 2 and 3 deserves its own section. But the other folder should be "Dark Matter in general".
And I can't help but giggle at the Susie apologists.
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaWhy does Susie's character folder switch between "she's sort of evil but not that evil we don't know" and "oh yeah she's totes evil but there's no profit in a destroyed universe so she helped out that one time (well, two times now, I guess)" at the drop of the hat.
"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."the writing is confusing, yeah, but she's indeed not that evil (comparable to Taranza). It's just that the last scene we see of her was different from Taranza's: she flies away from Popstar while he stays with Kirby. This may cause people to jump to the idea that Susie isn't completely redeemed.
And in Star Allies she still wants to mechanize other planets.
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenza
Fair enough.
Now that I think about it, Pres. Haltmann and Susie seem to be the most Alternative Character Interpretation prone characters in the series aside from Meta Knight and Kirby himself.
"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."People are confused about Susie because the English translation screws up her characterization. The Planet Robobot translation isn't too bad since it's technically correct, but the way they word her dialogue in the final scenes in English makes her sound more like she's planning something nefarious with the Star Dream, while her Japanese dialogue fits more with her actual goal which is just to take the machine from Haltmann to stop his rampage and hopefully make him remember she's his daughter.
But more importantly, the English pause screen description for her in Star Allies straight up makes up the part about her wanting to mechanize planets and makes her sound more evil. Her English Guest Star description:
Cool and collected, Susie from Kirby: Planet Robobot is all business. Following in the footsteps of her employer, she uses science to advance her mission - mechanizing new planets and peoples.
Her Japanese Guest Star pause screen description:
Flipping up her gorgeous hair, the beautiful secretary Susie from Planet Robobot rises to take on that person's will! She proposes family togetherness and happy living using the power of science... And based on that philosophy, all savages will be eliminated!
Honestly, that last bit about "eliminating savages" sounds more evil than the bit in English about "mechanizing planets". Remember, "savage" was her personal term for Kirby and every other civilian of Pop Star.
I get that. But since all the allies in Star Allies are meant to be helping Kirby fight the villains, even the allies like Marx and Dark Meta Knight, I would take "savages" in this context to be all the bad guys you fight in the game. It's taking her manner of speech in the last game and flipping it around a bit. Whereas her mechanizing planets would mean she's doing the same thing the villain of the last game did and is unambiguously a danger to innocent people.
I honestly find it funny that Dark Meta Knight is an ally, (especially since Shadow Kirby would've made a lot more sense because he actually IS your ally in that game)
Probably because they don't know what Shadow Kirby could do
Personally, he should have the Smash moveset
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaI'd have figured Shadow Kirby could have been a take on the Mirror copy ability, perhaps with a few additional attacks added in.
But I'm happy with the DMK we got.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Throughout Planet Robobot Susie acts as the mouthpiece for the company's terrible entitled viewpoint of the world their conquering. When her more complex motivations are revealed they're totally unrelated to the morality of the company. She wants to save her dad's mind, with no comment on how she felt about his actions.
You could interpret her as not believing in anything she said and did during the first 90% of Robobot, and that she wants to rebuild the HWC as some totally different not at all evil company, and that when she says savage now she means actual villains instead of anyone who has the audacity to fight back against invasion.
Or you could interpret her as being exactly the person she initially presented herself as, just that she really does care about her father. Same way Haltmann is an awful person who cares about his daughter.
I don't see either interpretation as more valid... but all that talk about following in Haltmann's footsteps and using the exact same sort of language she used to sugarcoat the HWC's crimes... it comes off as sinister even if she's not openly planning to mechanize more planets.
Question: What does count as spoiler for Star Allies?
- Void Termina's core and all of his subsequent versions
- Unhooded Hyness
- Hyness draining the lives of his generals and using them as weapons
- Hyness doing Human Sacrifice
- Morpho Knight and EX
- Bosses of Heroes of Another Dimension: Corrupt Hyness and 3 Mage Sisters
- Unlocking 3 Mage Sisters from HOAD
- Fighting Marx in the credits
- Unlocking Soul Melter and/or EX
All of the above? Half of those are spoilers for the ends of each of the various modes in the game.
Because some of them are uncovered when they should be covered.
I'm asking here first to know what should be done.
Upon second thought, 3 Mage Sisters being playable isn't a spoiler. But perhaps the way of unlocking them is?

We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaHyness Unhooded is just a second phase so it's not really any more spoilery than Hyness himself. I figure Void Termina and His cores are technically still spoilers. Morpho Knight and his EX form seem like spoilers.
Fighting Marx in the credits isn't so much a spoiler as an easter egg so I don't think it counts.
"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."Aren't the allies in Star Allies Dream Friends and not the actual characters?
The Protomen enhanced my life. So, starting over:
Spoilers
- Void Termina, his core, and all of his subsequent versionsnote
- Hyness draining the lives of his generals and using them as weapons
- Hyness doing Human Sacrifice
- Morpho Knight (EX) (the latter is a "higher order spoiler")
- Corrupt Hyness
- Unlocking Soul Melter EX
But I need to ask: was Soul Melter EX advertised in the trailers? If yes, then it isn't a spoiler
Not spoilers (but currently are)
- Unhooded Hyness
- Fighting and unlocking 3 Mage Sisters from HOAD
- Fighting Marx in HOAD's credits
"Aren't the allies in Star Allies Dream Friends and not the actual characters?"
It depends
- King Dedede and MK can be recruited by throwing a Friend Heart at them, so they're real
- Dream Friends that you get from Dream Rod are "dreams" (including King Dedede and MK)
Get what I mean?
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaPretty sure that whole "they're just dreams" thing is a fan theory. It's pretty mych left ambiguous as to what they are.
"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."The one we know is probably real is Bandana Dee.
The Animal Friends could conceivably be real. Then again, didn't we last see them floating in tanks in Shiver Star?
"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."I last saw them as statues from the Stone+Cutter power. (I spent ages trying to make Kine do something as a kid...)
The Protomen enhanced my life.King Dedede and Meta Knight can potentially be "real" if you just throw a heart at them after their boss battles.
But generally I figure their presence is not canon-compliant, the same way having multiple Kirbies running around in multiplayer is non-canon outside of Amazing Mirror. Else you can have three Franciscas, three Flamberges, and three Zan Partizannes helping Kirby fight a fourth Fracisca, Flamberge, and Zan Partizanne.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
I didn't think smooth jazz Galacta Knight would work, yet here we are.
