Runs and possibly owns. Good salesman. Mother-dominated. Straight and highly attracted to Angel's feminine aspect (but not to male-Angel, so the fact that he's happily out on a date with Angel when the latter isn't wearing a dress presumably implies that he's made a little psychological adjustment).

The last SDB strip (on Ma3). A bit of a weak ending, to be honest.

Which should not be surprising by this point.

And they're currently rushing three strips through endgames that were supposed to be years away.

Speaking of years away, apparently Amber's story's closure was 3 years ago? And she has only appeared in person in like 5 strips since? That's a real letdown.

I think her closure was supposed to be making up with Ruby. She had a very bad case of getting Demoted to Extra in a strip that should have been half hers, though.

Invites a guy to move in and then is only seen like 3 years later, overhearing her sister having sex. Damn. That's a real demotion from original deuteragonist.

Well, there was a very large break in the comic's publication schedule in that period.

But yeah, Amber was a character with a fair amount of potential who just never went anywhere. She wasn't particularly substantial in Ma3 (though she had more personality than Gary managed for a long time), but the old Single Woman Seeks Good Man plot has metric oodles of comedy potential, and dramatically, she seemed to start in the position which Gary reached only recently; able to get any amount of sex, which she loves, sure, but having come to the feeling that it was all a bit hollow, and wanting - gasp - an actual relationship — but with even less idea than Gary what that really meant. Plus, there was the whole “telling her parents” potential plot. She could easily have supported a comic on her own, if a writer had cared. (“Amber Alert”?)

But Giz never seems to have got a handle on her — she does look like a Dave01 creation to me — and she ended up backgrounded.

I don't get it. What does Peggy have to worry about?

Her and Gary likely haven't talked about their situation yet.

...or at least, not properly. Last we saw, Peggy seemed possibly to be in denial about the depth of her feelings for Gary.

I wouldn't say possibly.

I'm not sure that it's denial when she knows pretty clearly what her feelings are, she's just unsure what to do about them. Zii is probably still in denial about her feelings for Gary; she tends to deny any suggestion that they exist.

(Gary, geek wish-fulfillment character? Never...)

Another new Ma3 strip. Peggy is nice in panel 2 and a tiny bit mean in panel 4...

She's not really mean in panel 4, just being kinda blunt about correcting Zii that it's not that she doesn't know, it's that she does know and is afraid as a result. Which is understandable, considering who we're talking about; just because DiDi isn't the type to actually try to harm someone on purpose doesn't mean that she won't do it accidentally (how many times did she bear-hug someone too strongly for their comfort by now?).

Based on the last two panels, the comic will somehow resolve so that Gary, Zii, and Peggy become the new "menage a trois" as its ending

We've been led to believe the series would end in a three way, but the title really was just about their three person living arrangement, and the series will actually end with a four way of the three housemates and Peggy.

It'll end in an orgy of every major character in the spaghetti pile of relationship connections.
