New SotR strip. Technically SFW, but a lot of stuff that might raise your boss's eyebrows. And a lot of raised eyebrows.

New Ma3 strip. Looks like some minor character plot thread tie-offs.

The "Earlier" part is bugging me. So, Anna got told by the McMahon character how disappointed they were to not get Didi, Anna contacted Maura who contacted Tess, and then Anna confronted Didi in the locker room?

...That was Roxie.

Have I ever mentioned that I have issues with how humans all look alike?

Lynn and Roxie are inconveniently similar, though.

Yeah, I'm having the same similarity issues with blondes in SOTR, especially in this strip's Info Dump.

Lynn and Roxie look pretty different to me. For one, hair length.

New Ma3. Not sure why this plot thread is being dragged out so.

... Lynn's idea is just begging for it to backfire on her.

Resolution?

Except that I'd say that these characters' plots were adequately resolved as of the preceding strip.

Is it wrong to enjoy Zoe being slapped?

Ma3 NOW switches scenes. Hmm. I thought that these three had reached a resolution of sorts. I just hope that the new, strong, dangerous Sonya isn't going to wimp out on us.

New SotR. Galloping plot narration.

Damn. Eva really messed her up.

New Ma3 strip. As one-strip solutions for complex emotional problems, using a problematic character who we all thought was gone from the comic forever, go, it's really rather a good one. Just so long as Bianca's entanglement with the spy genre doesn't run to the "automatic 100% fatality for the girlfriend of the week" trope.

Now must go check the relevant trope to add to the page. I'm pretty sure there is one.

2. This being a comedy, consent questions aren't raised, I guess.

Questions of consent got comprehensively dumped as an issue in this comic a good thousand strips ago. Take it or leave it.

Meanwhile, there's a new SotR strip. Uh, wuh? Ingrid wants the angry, emotionally confused Marie to listen to her, and she thinks that becoming a model herself ... will cause Marie to see her as an equal ... and therefore cause her to listen. And then, Zoé says no, because she's done with protégés, so Ingrid changes her mind by ... cutting off her long hair, which was certainly nice, but which hadn't previously ever been mentioned as an issue by either Zoé or Ingrid.

My suspension of disbelief ain't up to this.

... So Sonya loves a dangerous life? WTH???

She’s been shown as addicted to drama since early on. This is just taking that to more of an extreme.

Actual, lethal danger is very different from the relationship drama Sonya was enjoying. And it seemed like she genuinely loved Zii. This seems like a forced attempt at Cleaning Up Romantic Loose Ends.

Oh, there's some blatant loose-end-tying going on at the moment, certainly. And Bianca is one of the sillier arbitrary late additions. And no, I wouldn't recommend the pursuit of lethal danger as a cure for heartbreak.

But Sonya was always pretty clearly an adrenaline junkie above anything else. She certainly thought she loved Zii, but Zii was the person who turned her life upside-down and introduced her to those addictive adrenaline rushes; what seems to have happened there was imprinting. Despite which, she was distracted by Yuki fairly substantially for quite a few strips. The idea that, once she'd been forced to recognise that Zii was just poison for her these days, she could move on when she found something comparably exciting, isn't totally nuts.

New Ma3 strip. Some ends being loosened so they can be tied together, I think.

New SotR. Sandra kinda gives the lie to her own claims of new self-confidence.
