Gilgamesh was roaring as he flew through the air, he raised his giant weapon to strike as it managed somehow to parry the lightning…

And then Horrible’s freezing ray stuck him dead on. That caused a rather…odd reaction within Gilgamesh. Being a spirit made of magic it caused a very odd reaction. He froze. And I mean literally. He turned semi-transparent, his face fixed in an expression of rage as he flew through the air.

When Gilgamesh stuck the ground, he shattered like glass. With a whoosh, the particles from his body spread all over the ground and came to rest at the Overlord’s feet.

It was a rather pathetic way for a King of Heroes to die…

Gilgamesh’s room imploded, it’s empty space no longer existing.

Norman and Harry turn to stare at Horrible. They clap. "Bravo! Great shot!"

Norman smiles. "How did you create that?"

Richard swore, constantly for the next few seconds. A few fireballs were accidentally cast from his flaming fists in various dirrections.    "Damn it! I said I wanted his arms! And his ship! What about torturing! And Exploiting! That was so bloody improfessional. THE ENEMY DOES NOT GET A EASY DEATH! That's rule bloody number one! I don't even think there is enough left for me to reanimate him."    Richard took the opertunity to pout a little before taking up swearing some more. They ruined his fun, all of him fun! That wasn't fair!

A singed Megatron landed on his feet not far from where Gilgamesh had spread his atoms, not even hiding the look of disappointment on his faceplate.—

That Was The Most Unsatisfying Death I Have Ever In My Millions Of Stellar Cycles Of Existence Seen.

—He gave Doctor Horrible an annoyed look.—

Doom glanced down at the rubble that had been Gilgamesh with a raised eyebrow, disappointment writ clear on his face...though no one would be able to see that, given that his mask was still in place. The Latverian monarch deactivated his Doomsaber and descended back down to the floor, crossing his arms over his chest in an irritated fashion.

"I would love to say that that was a fitting end for such a fool," he said at length, "but that would be a grievous dishonour to fools everywhere."

Richard continued ranting,    "See! Even the walking tin can agrees! That was the worst bit of death and villainy I have ever seen! You should all be ashamed of yourselves."

Fascinating.... Maleficent thought as Doom pulled out his weapon. A combination of alchemy and science.....I should invest more in combining science and the arcane.

And then the Vimana exploded, and Gilgamesh shattered upon the ground after being frozen. She smiled arrogantly. "Calm yourself Richard," she told the lich. "Despite his anticlimatic death, I think that was a suitable punishment for him. Instead of dieing a proper warrior's death, he instead dies like the pathetic, rabid mongrel he is....."

That was when the Heartless that went onto the ship landed on the floor. The Zip Slashers were completely fine, as well as the powered up Morning Star and the Bookmaster, with only its tome partially blackened, but the two normal Morning Stars landed hard, their armor cracking and falling apart after falling from a large height right after surviving a powerful magic explosion. Soon a pair of Hearts rose from their dissolving bodies and became swallowed up by Darkness.....

-Horrible looked extremely confused, unable to grasp what exactly had just happened. The mighty Gilgamesh, leveller of building and king of heroes, had just been killed. By him, of all people. Surely that wasn't supposed to happen?-

"Indeed. I was hoping he would merely be frozen in place that we may... correct him at our leisure."

-he descended and set Horrible on the ground-

<Being atomized no longer counts as a correction?> asked the Yeerk, bemusement in his voice. <I would say that he was disciplined quite thoroughly.>

Norman goes to shakes his hand. "So sir. How did you create that? My company's science department has been working on things like that for years."

Harry shakes his head. "We still don't have it down 3 years after you died dad."

Norman's eyes open in shock. "It's been 3 YEARS?! You never said it was that long!"

"I was hoping to at least teabag the bum," Pete said as he was walking out of the corner he was hiding in the entire time.

"How disgusting," Maleficent responded to Pete. "Though suitable punishment." She then face Zod, Doom, and Megatron. "But still, the fool has been dealt with gentlemen," she said. "Now I believe there are more pressing topics to discuss....."

Doom clipped the inactive saber to his belt and stared at the crystalline rubble that had been Gilgamesh, shaking his head in annoyance. "Such a waste...had he landed in one piece, the so-called King of Heroes might have suffered properly for his incompetence."

The Latverian monarch slowly brought an armoured boot down on the largest slivers and chunks, grinding them to dust beneath his heel with little effort or concern.

When Maleficent spoke, Doom raised his head to regard her and folded his arms across his chest in an imperious fashion. "Indeed; this lack of discipline is, to be perfectly frank, revolting. How are we to escape if we cannot keep from leaping at one another's throats for five minutes?"

Richard sighed and visibly calmed down,   "Look, he hurt you guys? Right? So should have kicked him. And kicked him. And kicked him until he begged us for death before flaying him alive and leaving him limbless to die in a corner from bloody malnutrition! People are suspossed to fear us! Not go, 'Well at least it was a clean death.' What's the point of taking revenge if you don't savor it. It's an art form! That's all I'm saying. So what, he died a cowards death? The way we could have done it he would have wished for death."   

Once more Richard calmed down.    "I mean it was just too quick and clean. I don't even have enough there for a trophy! It was like he never existed at all. We should have found a way to use him to frighten others who would defy us instead now he shall only be an example to us here now. And we will all soon forget it in time because of how clean it was. Oh well, I guess we can move on."

<I would have preferred to devour the traitor whole,> said Visser 3, a tinge of regret in his tone, <but I suppose that this shall suffice. Now, what matters do we need to discuss?>

"I perfectly agree, Dr......Doom, was it?" Maleficent responded to the monarch. "That is why I propose a power hierarchy. The most powerful and the most civil among us villains will be the designated Grand Masters of our fellow prisoners, sharing the power equally and dealing with disputes and administering discipline accordingly. I designate myself as one of the Grand Masters, as well as Lord Megatron." She then turned to Doom. "And it would be obvious for a man of great genius such as yourself to join us in the top circle as well."

"So it seems that Gilgamesh is now gone."

The Shocker Rider observed the events without pity. "Good riddance."

Visser 3 turned one of his eyes towards Maleficent. <And supposing that the rest of us do not wish to take orders from your so-called 'hierarchy'?>

Norman grins preparing to "test" the group. "I assume the General is high in the hierarchy."

Richard chuckled,    "No power hierarchy would stop the assassinations that would begin as people vied for spots on the ladder. That being said, I'm all for it. It will make everything around here all the more entertaining. It would not do, of course, for one as powerful as myself to not be among such a hierarchy...so I gladdly accept your nominations."

"Indeed. This predicament affects us all, and by fighting we only serve to play into our captors hands."

Doom paused, considering the witch's offer. The thought of being forced to rub shoulders with these others as though they were his equals, much like his brief tenure on Norman Osborn's Cabal, was distinctly unappealing to him; Doom had no equals. Even so, there was a degree of sense to it; in this manner order could be maintained, he would receive the respect he deserved, and without further hindrances he would be free to continue with his plans.

He remained silent, mulling it over for a few moments more. Afert a moment, he nodded; he could swallow his pride, given the extreme circumstances, and entertain the notion that these others might have been on the same level as he himself.

"A reasonable proposition," he said at length.

<And how exactly will we determine our ranks in the hierarchy?> continued Visser 3. <Judging by the majority of temperments I observe, we shall doubtless settle this through barbarianism and fighting, no?>

Vanitas' visible eye rolled. His helmet was now covered in small cracks as a result of the prolonged brawl he'd had with the werewolf, involving several major blunt force impacts.

"You want to set up some sort of organised hierarchy? Given the ego level in here, I can only see that ending badly for everyone. It'll be fun to watch it implode though."
