Maul just sniggers.

"That will not be necessary."

-Zod replied coldly-

"If you wish to be of use to me, locate the one known as Jack Spicer and bring him to me."

"I-DO-NOT-WISH-TO-BE-OF-USE-TO-YOU."

Norman bows to Zod and looks for Jack Spicer.

Sec approaches Zod.
"YOU-GATH-ER-AN-IM-MENSE-FOL-LOW-ING. HOW?"

-Horrible, having exhausted his creative impulses for the moment (at least when it came to weapon designs) decided to take a break and head back out in to the All-Lair. He hurried over to Zod's side-

"Sir, do you have any idea what happened at the end of that challenge?"

The Shocker Rider rubbed his face after removing his helmet with his gloved right hand.

"Perhaps they simply sense my inherent natural superiority."

"The imbecile known as the "Hero" Gilgamesh destroyed the human dwelling, killing all therein and causing us to fail."

Norman just keeps looking in rooms for Jack Spicer.

“Well, that was slightly unpleasant.”

It was Gilgamesh’s voice, but it seemed he wasn’t quite present.

“Obliviously all of you failed to notice the simple facts. Let me lay them out for you. I do not recall ever being told to protect those simpletons. I do not recall being told that they were vital to this…challenge. And I do not recall any of us caring if they died or not.”

There was a slight sigh,

“All those beasts were swarming that building, making it quite a target. I cannot be the only one who considered using it as a target. I was merely the one who chose to act upon it and eliminate our foes. Are all of you so inept as to miss that?”

Gilgamesh was astralized, a state a servant can enter where he or she is out of phase with the rest of the world. Let’s get the facts strait. He didn’t fear anyone. But he was not so stupid to appear in a group that wanted his head.

If Norman entered the Dalek room, he would be stripped of all weapons and cavity searched for more.

-Horrible raised both eyebrows-

"Are you all right, Sir?"

Norman luckily hasn't walked into the Dalek room when Gilgamesh appeared. "You fool! We were all in that room! You would have killed us all even if we didn't fail the challenge!"

The Shocker Rider snarled at Gilgamesh when he saw him.

—Megatron looked over to Doom, tone bland.—

Do You Want To Hit Him First?

-Zod raised his voice slightly-

"Nonetheless, your reckless actions are directly responsible for our failure and the subsequent nomadic reprisal. If you are too great a coward to appear before us and accept responsibility for your idiocy then so be it. We will fare all the better in your absence."

“Do not consider me so foolish or easily baited, Zod.” It was Gilgamesh’s voice again, delivered with a hint of humor,

“You desire me dead. I have no intention of dying yet again. And quite frankly, it was the best idea, even though all of you will not admit to it.”

Behind his mask, Doom's eyes narrowed dangerously in response to Gilgamesh's words. "It is a poor monarch that blames his contemporaries for his own failings, Babylonian," he said coldly, rising from the hoverthrone and spreading his arms wide. "That you were ignorant of the challenge's true goals is no excuse, and your arrogance, combined with your refusal to show yourself and take responsibility for your erros, shows that you are not worthy of the title."

The Latverian monarch began to chant under his breath, and the temperature of the All-Lair dropped drastically as his sorcery began warping the fabric of this space to his will. He knew exactly where Gilgamesh's spirit was—anyone with magical sight could see it, given how much power he radiated, and Doom was no stranger to the astral plane; his focus closed around it, and a green haze filled the air as his spell began to take effect. Summoning demons and other dark powers was a skill that the armoured dictator had mastered ages ago, as were the spells necessary to bind them in the physical world and prevent them from fleeing back into the planes whence they had come; though this 'Heroic Spirit' was powerful, the principle was no different.

With a roar of suddenly displaced air and the tang of ozone, Gilgamesh was ripped from the astral plane and back into his corporeal form, leaving him standing in the middle of the All-Lair's main chamber.

Gilgamesh nodded,

“Very good.”

It was then that it appeared that he was Holding Ea…and it was spinning.

“I’ve heard of a phrase from the modern world. Mutually assured destruction.” Ea was spinning, and the vortex was close.

“Personally, I’d rather take it out on these nomads. But if you so desire it…we can all perish here.”

—At this, the Decepticon's mouthplates fully slid back. He cracked the joints of his servos as he began his ponderous advance on the ancient "Hero".—

<He deserves to be fed to the Taxxons,> came a cold and angry telepathic voice from behind. <He made us all look like buffoons in the face of our captors.>

-Horrible thought for a second. It seemed the threat of being imminently killed by a fight he wasn't involved in gave him the clarity of mind to put a plan together and act on it very quickly. The freeze ray popped into his hands and he (quickly but somewhat shakily) aimed at the sword and fired. The stream of temporal displacement and disruption should, in theory, stop the attack from being fired, since the sword would be incapable of changing it's state in any way. And if he caught Gilgamesh in the shot, it wouldn't fire either-
