Looks amazing. If only Namdai would localize it...but my hope for that is pretty much dead by now.

Ah well, I know I'll end up importing it. That's what I've done with most of the other Japan-only Tales games.

Chances are, I'm not actually wearing any pants right now.

It's hard for me to be excited over a new Tales game when it's obvious that Namco fucking hates us and won't bring more of the games here.
...Buy and play it anyway?

There's nothing stopping you from importing and playing it.

[up] Well for me, being unable to understand the game is the reason I don't buy imports of story-driven games. Not to mention that I'd probably have to buy the region's console to play said games.

^The PS 3 is region-free. I hear you on the whole being able to understand it thing though. Usually if you wait a little while though, someone will release a translation script or patch. I played through Tales of Rebirth and the Tales of Destiny remake just by following along with a translation script.

You have a point there, that's why I'll be buying the English "Port" of Tales of Vesperia first for the XBOX 360 before I import the Play Station 3 version of the game.

That being said, one can always hold out the hope of some sort that somebody might release an undub for it. I know they've already made headway with Tales of Graces. Play Station 3 is pretty crazy to do the way as one does with the Wii, and there's been controversy over recent cracks(they're expensive, too). However, there must be some way to release a patch or something of the like.

The Tales of Community are one of the most prominent Un Dubbers out there. They'll find something.

Personally, I'm not going to emulate the Tales of Graces Un Dub until I get a 6870.

There's got to be another studio out there that would kill to get their hands on Tales localization.

...Or at least be happy to take it off Namdai's hands.

Oh you people with your PS360s and "patches"........

WHY GOD WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE SO EXPENSIVE!? No wait, better... WHY GOD WHY ARE THEY EXCLUSIVE TO THOSE CONSOLES!?

I'm not a face of the concept of carrying around a script in order to understand a game I'm trying to play, feels like it's taking away from the story and the game at the same time. If I wanted to read a story I would be holding a controller.

By Namdai? What exactly are they waiting for? Do they think money is just going to come falling out of the sky?

It's almost as if they take some sort of pride in keeping good games from foreigners.

It's not just Atlus. XSEED and Nippon Ichi have both also expressed interest in localizing the Tales Series but Namdai won't let ANY of them have it.

My theory is that they're afraid other companies will make more of a profit off of it, because other companies AREN'T fucking stupid.

I saw some "interview" with a namco rep that said that giving it to someone else to localize would still have namco getting the short end because they'd still have to handle the production and everything that's not localization and advertising. I say "interview" because apparently it was some guy at 7-11 who happened to run into a namco rep coming from an event, and the interviewer was very accusing, for lack of a better word. I'll see if I can find it.

^Oh yeah, I've read that "interview". Their excuse for not just releasing it with Japanese voice track and subtitles was completely fucking stupid; because ENGLISH-SPEAKING PEOPLE ARE TOO LAZY TO READ SUBTITLES OF COURSE

[up]Well, there's also the rumor that Sony prohibits the release of any game without an English track. I don't personally believe it but hey.

Update: Abyssal Chronicles Andriasang Siliconera According to Famitsu's report, having both Jude and Mira as the main characters means that you will choose one of them at the beginning of the game, and continue on with the story from their point of view. The game's characteristic genre this time around is "揺るぎなき信念のRPG" (yuruginaki shinnen no RPG, An RPG of Unwavering Convictions)  *

The 4gamer report also lists the game's world as "Liese Maxia," a world in which humans, demons and spirits reside together.

At a press briefing, Hideo Baba presented the DR-LMB system made for Tales of Xillia. That stands for double raid linear motion battle. Cooperative attacks, like the ones seen in the Tales of Xillia trailer released earlier today, are at the core of the battle system. Hideo Baba, producer of the Tales series, believes this will be a big selling point for Tales of Xillia.  *

Speaking of Xillia, Baba explained how he came up with the title. It’s based on the word "zillion" (Famitsu says "Xillion" though), a huge number. They coined Xillia from that. The "X" represents the unknown and an intersection or crossing.

Double Raid Linear Motion Battle System (DR-LMBS)...

Say that five times fast. And is that name really necessary? I'm just going to call it the "Dr. Limbs" system  *

.

...a system that incorporates the two characters teaming up in combat.

Huh? I know they probably mean something different, but hasn't the whole series involved multiple characters (usually four) teaming up?

Does this mean what I think this means? Online Coop?

Well, they haven't explained it yet, but the combination of them saying it focused on cooperation and that this installment's name essentially means "Tales of Zillion", I'm hoping so.

Another Tales game I had to order from Playasia. Is my favorite series that unloved over here in the states? Well no matter I just wanted to tell you guys the battle system is amazing despite the whole only having one hi-ougi.....what? I love special moves [lol]. My only problem with the game is the aborted arc and the final boss. It should have been a duel boss fight between Milia and Jude vs errr is it ok for me to say the final boss!?

What is a heart? If I rip open your chest will I see it? If I crack open your skull will I find it in there?
