Not really because those hair styles are less ridiculous. I think Seiga wins for most riduclous hair, actually. Byakuren has nothing on her. Its just a weird color and weird color is nothing new. Its a weird color even for weird colors but the style isn't anything special. Miko's hair ears a little weird but I'm willing to chalk it up to really bad cowlicks. Seiga? Deliberately styled her hair to give herself the ability to get signal.
Often, not always. Iku manages to be both elegant and sensible. Also, damn stylish.

Forever liveblogging the Avengers...pretty sure I've seen girls do variations of it in real life.
On topic: Seiga's ability to pass through walls is based on the Qing'e story...
To quote the wiki:
So I'm guessing this may be how she met her husband.
or the title of another part of the first volume.
Well, look. Here's a picture of this real life guy with real life beard styling.◊
It is something that happened in real life. It is also incredibly ridiculous.
So, voyeur?

Forever liveblogging the AvengersShould I be concerned if the first thing that come to mind when I saw that man's beard was tentacles?
Edit: Ah the uses of passing through walls to peek on people. On topic, could she possibly allow other people to pass through walls to?

That awkward moment where Kyoro is one of Satan's Generals.Yes.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI can't imagine marrying someone who ploughed their way into my bedroom in order to spy on me. No wonder she left.
Song of the SirensLook, all I can say is that Seiga is ridiculously sexy and brings back uncomfortable memories of that girl who sat in front of me in Chemistry class 10 years ago.
And this conversation is causing me to grin uncontrollably and possibly blush, which is likely a bad thing given that I'm in class right now.
Well, okay. I can sort of respect that.
Lets use this to build a bridge of compromise. We both think she's ridiculous, just in different ways.
Plus, her relationship with Yoshika is neat. As that posted comic illustrated.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersYoshika's more of a threat during the Seiga fight then Seiga is.
Except on the last nonspell. Dunno where she's aiming, but it's certainly not at you.
Song of the SirensOkaaaaay! Little post here with a few things:
First and foremost, Clarste, I have to scold you! I was supposed to go first to officially open the refreshy period thinger, and the TD articles were supposed to be a thing that happens alongside it! The way it is now, it kinda disturbs the flow! Of course, I also have to admit that things got in the way and it took me a long time to get here and do anything, and your last post was just too damn adorable for me to be mad at you or anything, so anyway!
I'll officially open the Refresher period in my next post (I'm aware that it's a silly thing to do, but I'm pretty sure that having a semblence of structure is the only thing that keeps this thread running)!
I also have stuff to say about Seiga, so don't think she's taboo now or anything!
I'd imagine Seiga as being a bit more intellectual than combative. She's a stage one boss who's able to fake a stage four thanks to Yoshika. 1+3=4, after all.
I sure said that! That would be the case, Pulse, but the homing electrorbs and the arcing lasers say otherwise. The names of her spellcards imply that she's controlling Yoshika like a puppet during them.
Song of the SirensSpeaking of the refresher period, are we doing that thing like we did last time where you thematically name a few characters to sort of direct the discussion?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersFighting with your dolls isn't against any kind of spellcard rules. Just Ask Alice.
..or Orin. Or Yukari.
Oh. Oops. I was actually afraid of waiting too long and wasting a day, or something like that.

No one said it was against the rules. And even if it was, it also functions as a handicap considering that she's caring enough or reliant enough to take the time to resurrect Yoshika every time you shoot her down. You monster.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersSecond Refresher Period (does anyone else think that that term sounds kinda lame) is go!
So here's the deal! This thread is always open for discussion of characters that were already discussed in it, so as to not exclude anyone who arrived late! However, few actually dare to do so because of the strongly enforced structure! To facilitate discussion of previously discussed characters, whether it's because someone arrived late or because new inspiration struck or new material came up, we have refresher periods!
As it stands, we also have Clarste providing brief introductions on the new characters from Ten Desires! Feel free to discuss those, too, but these introductions are just introductions to give people an occasion to learn about them and form an understanding of the characters! Perhaps by the time we discuss them for real, interesting new interpretations will have formed from these introductions!
Now, even the refresher period has some structure, but it's entirely a guideline. I repeat that every character who has been discussed can be discussed now, but in order to not overwhelm people with too many choices, I will provide links of several done characters each day to give easy access to their profiles and any write-ups that were made for them at the time, to refresh your memories and give undecided people a pointer.
And now, to start us off, here's a big old list of everyone who had been discussed before the first refresher period!
and
Maaaan that's a lot.
Yesss.
Expect something later in the day from me

Are we actually doing all of the first refresher's characters all at once?
...
*Rushes to read all the short stories about Maribel and Renko*
Song of the SirensAnd done. Next up, Reimu. Work on her writeup will begin in two days, most likely.
I may just do one on Mary and Renko. Expect Renko's hat to be an important character.
Song of the Sirens
You might as well ask what Hina's pigtail beard is for. Extra rotational force? Marisa's earbraid? It shoots lasers. Eirin's fat ponytail? If needs be, it turns into a sword. Shizuha's hair crab? She uses it to spy on people.
What about Iku? She is both elegant and sensible. Plus her scarf turns into an electrically charged drill. Which is awesome. I'll bet Seiga's scarf can't do that* .
