Wow, talk about case in point. I completely forgot about the other hair styles.
Alright, first, I doubt Goku would every destroy a bowl of food no matter how worried he is.
Second, is it wrong that I prefer how less worried he was when he had a hit placed on himself.
Third, good lord, as much as I dig Broly being in this, it does make the comic a time capsule with Broly being this big of a threat. I was hyped to see the alternate universe stronger than strong Broly once upon a time, but now it feels excessive, Goku immediately freaking out after so much as sensing Broly.
And how did it take Broly roughly 10 years to make it back here?
Well, I'm interested in how the story develops since this is further in the timeline than any other special, and the Z-Fighters get to cut loose.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).And it makes it all the more Hilarious in Hindsight that not only did Broly become canon, but that that the power scaling in canon has become so absurd he could trash everyone in DBM
Caught up again. Ha, those two guys with the "I died!" punch cards sent me.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Eh, I don't really like that kind of humour in the main comic. Feels very un-DB.
It is something Goscinni would pull off. But this ain't bande dessinée.
I don't see any joke in today's comic.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.Well, Goku was having dinner with Uub and Goten when he just sensed some strong power in the previous page and now, Gohan sensed it too and is getting his family out of the house and (presumably) to safety.
There isn't a joke. It's a serious "what the hell is that" scene.
Are you talking about Known? He was referring another page way back, around everybody coming back in the tournament, I think.
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.I agree with a comment in the main site...
Why didn't Goku teleport everyone to another planet, like King Kai's or New Namek?

Because he wouldn't be able to teleport to Gohan and teleport away in time. He needs to concentrate to use his teleportation, it's like when he couldn't teleport away from Pure Boo destroying the Earth.
Gohan just had the shit luck of being closest to the explosion
Because he doesn't have a bomb with him
Ok I know this is anime land and all and the world of DBZ is no stranger to attacks that should be extinction level events◊ only kicking up dust but how in the hell does the planet survive that?
I mean the fact that Goku is standing his ground and telling Goten to protect his mother seems to imply that there will still be, y'know, ground left to be stood.
Edit: In fact the first shot of the planet looks about on par with the super spirit bomb Goku used against Frieza on Namek◊ and I clearly remember Goku worrying that if he made it any bigger he'd risk cracking the planet in half.

I gotta play with Universe Sandbox' laser to see what the bare minimum to blow the Moon up in seconds does to the Earth, because 21st tournament Roshi has at least that imput.
So, am I wrong in thinking some time has passed? Like, a lot?
Because it's morning (or light, anyway) at the Kame House but it was night when Gohan tried to escape with his family.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position. The planet won't survive it, natch. This is the story of how Broly wins. He blows up the planet five pages in. End of special.
Would still be better than most of the "villain wins" specials.
Time zones were aknowledged a few pages ago.
"Where are Vegeta and Piccolo? WHERE IS OUR HERO MISTER SATAN!?"

Looks like the planet isn't taking this well. I feel a bit better about that.

I don't get why Salagir has "come, bastard!" instead of "you bastard!"
I get that English isn't his first language, but after doing this for 10+ years you'd think you would have a better command of it. I guess that's not necessarily true, but someone on the translation team should have.

I was pretty young when I watched DBZ so I didn't fully understand what some of the character relationships were. It actually led to me thinking Yamcha was a Saiyan for a bit and wondering why he never transformed during the Android saga. I think I figured out he wasn't by Buu though.
