No 40K thread yet? I'm surprised. Nay, shocked, shocked I say to discover there's gambling going on in this establishment...

I'm eagerly anticipating the imminent 5th Edition release, personally, but I was interested to know if anyone here plays and has a differing opinion on it. There are certainly plenty of people out there who seem to think that 40K 4th edition "only just" came out and that a new edition isn't needed. Anyone?

Warhammer Fantasy (including Age of Sigmar and WFRP) has its own thread here.

@Ninety: We can probably assume that anything over 50mm can be handled on its own, so that just leaves 25mm, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm and whatever dimensions those bike bases have.

Funny story: the night before that was posted, while taking a friend to a D&D campaign we're both in, a friend of mine was lamenting that the Emperor's Children hadn't got much attention in the Chaos article run, and sarcastically noting that he looked forward to the big Slaaneshi update in about twenty thousand years.

I may need to check to see if GW has secretly bugged my car.

Hopefully this means they'll get around to T'Zeentch, too.

Probably not any time soon. Wrath of Magnus happened relatively recently, I think they'll wait a while before making more new Tzeentch stuff.

Still not embarrassing enough to stan billionaires or tech companies.

That not really daemons.

I'm not talking 1k Sons, mind. Just like, a new sculpt for the horrors of a new chaos spawn or something.

[up]I can't remember exactly but aren't the Horrors one of the newer Lesser Daemon models? Didn't they get some new stuff with Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower (the return of the Blue Horrors and the introduction of the Brimstone Horrors)?

Egg on my face. Shows how much I pay attention. It just seems like they've run Nurgle, Khorne and now Slaanesh. I didnt remember Tzeentch getting anything big outside 1k Sons.

[up]The also got a new Lord of Change with an option to create Fateweaver (after the Bloodthirster and before the Great Unclean One) and, although it was only a minor change to his staff and stance, the Changeling got a new sculpt I think.

Double Post becasue, in other news, Sanguinius (both versions), the Crimson Paladin Terminators, and the Malevolence sourcebook (Blood Angels, White Scars, Daemons and Custodes) are all up for pre-order at Forge World.

I've never ordered anything from FW before but I am so tempted to get the custom version of Sanguinius.

Quick question: I was thinking of changing the quote for the Death Guard on the Heretic Astartes character page from the current one:

In the embrace of great Nurgle, I am no longer afraid, for with His pestilential favour I have become that which I once feared: Death.

To this one:

Sickness, disease, plague and pox, suffering and the slow, living rot. Such wondrous gifts does Nurgle seek to bestow upon the unworthy human cattle of the Imperium. We are merely the vectors by which his virulent beneficence may be spread to the undeserving masses.
Urgloth Rotheart, Plague Champion of the Death Guard

As I feel it refers to the Legion as a whole and reflects their outlook/mission a bit better. What do people think?

Heretek are Dark Mechanicum, I think, this guy's a Warpsmith. With Chaos Lord delusions looking at his statline. It's pretty beastly.

Yeah, his one problem from a playability perspective is that he's >10w, so no cowering in fear behind a squad of Cultists for ablative wounds.

Still not embarrassing enough to stan billionaires or tech companies.

Sisters Bulletin 4: Seraphim

Angel of (The Emperor’s) Mercy

One of the most enduring images of the Adepta Sororitas is that of their winged Seraphim swooping into battle, bolt pistols blazing. The Seraphim have always been portrayed as angelic, holy warriors, and the new miniature captures one such Battle Sister perfectly…

Amazing, huh? Advances in miniatures design technology have enabled us to realise the Seraphim in an even more dynamic way than before. The cinematic pose displayed by this miniature is just a sign of things to come!

Many of the design cues for the Seraphim miniature have been taken from the Geminae Superia – the sisters Genevieve and Eleanor – who accompany Celestine, the Living Saint. After all, as protectors of a divine being, the Geminae Superia are perhaps the finest exemplars of what it means to be members of the Adepta Sororitas.

One notable feature of the Seraphim has always been the stylised hollow wings that serve as the exhaust vents for their ornate jump packs. The design of these jump packs was updated a few years ago for the Geminae Superia, and this has been rolled out to the new Seraphim. The only significant difference between them is that the Seraphim have four ‘feather’ vents on each wing instead of the five that feature on the jump packs of the Geminae Superia.

Want to own this miniature for yourself? How about a whole army of them? If you read all about the exciting reveals in our Warhammer Preview at Adepti Con last week, you’ll be aware that by taking part in the Big Community Survey, you will be in with a chance to win an entire (brand-new) Adepta Sororitas army! How cool is that?! Be sure to check back on the 15th of April to join in the survey (don’t worry, we’ll remind you nearer the time).

Definitely looking good[tup]

[up][up] Yeah, he needs help. Mark of Nurgle with the Nurgle psychic power, stacked on top of the Dark Apostle praying for him to be harder to hit, and the new Black Legion Warlord trait for halved damage. All these combined are how I plan to protect him until he is safe in close combat.

(yes, I'm probably starting a Black Legion army because of how amazing the Lord Discordant's model is)

You won't stray from the Emperor's Light if you can't see the darkness. (also, good work Carlin, a perfect Imperial Guard/Astra Militarum score)
