I weirdly agree on dinosaurs not being birds or vice versa. The way I see it, birds are descended from dinosaurs but are not dinosaurs themselves. Much in the same way that mammals are descended from ancient reptiles yet still aren't counted as reptiles.

Saying the birds aren't dinosaurs is more like that snakes aren't reptiles. Dinosaurs were a large and diverse group, and birds are a sub-type of dinosaur that evolved well before the non-avian dinosaurs went extinct, and haven't changed enough from those days that you can justify calling them a different group.

Like if you time-travelled to the Cretaceous, you probably wouldn't be going around saying 'okay, that one has hollow bones and can fly, so it's not a dinosaur, even though it's otherwise really similar to the dinosaurs I see around me.' You'd just be saying 'oh, look at the flying dinosaur'.

Plus, mammals didn't evolve from reptiles. We evolved from synapsids, who existed alongside the sauropsids who would eventually evolve into reptiles (and other stuff)

So, if I'm adding this up correctly, Noriko likely blames herself for Tedd 'not having magic' and that's the reason she's been avoiding him, guilt at having choked off his magic by hiding her 'dark secret' and thusly being unable to face the son she 'crippled'.

Since you asked, the answer at this point is a definite maybe, to such an extent that in a real Q&A this would probably have been rejected as a spoiler.

Since the commentary (...never change, Dan...) suggests that pregnancy affecting magic resistance was a last-minute decision, I doubt it could factor much into Noriko's backstory. She probably doesn't even know there's a connection.

No, dragons definitely exist. Elliot encountered one during New and Old Flames.

But that one was a magical construct, not a living creature in its own right( similar to Nanase’s “Fox” spell. Actual dragons have not yet been seen, just heavily implied (Spoiler for Fred)

Is it bad that I want that to be canon? It’s not implausible that magic might have served other species on Earth before humans came along, right? Do magic users even have to be sentient?

I actually sent Dan an ask about what kind of dragon powers a certain main character had, hoping we could at least get a clue about what powers they DON’T have, but now I’m just hoping they’ve got T-Rex powers instead because that’s so much funnier.

Twinbird, that's actually irrelevant. She doesn't need to have known there was an effect, or even have an effect present, to have formed that sort of idea.

3DS still has the Virtual Console, so maybe he's using it for retro gaming.

I bring my 3DS everywhere just because it fits in my pocket and the screen won't be ruined if I bump into something. I have a Switch, but I usually leave it at home.

In any case, if Sybil not only calls Arthur "Mr. Arthur" (as we've seen), but calls Jay "your granddaughter," I think it's safe to say she's not the daughter he mentioned.

Now I'm definitely wondering whether Tedd might be enrolled as a girl, with Arthur thinking he's doing a favor. Edward's reaction to that could be... worrisome.
