And damn it all, it looks like Jones is gonna be further confirmation of the "no villains in Gunnerkgrigg" theory.

I like that these two pages of backstory are the biggest chunk of Expospeak we've had the entire comic.

I've always thought that Antimony has a bit of a crush on Eglemore too. So, the hair fluffing would show that she was primping herself to look nice for him.

After Jones beats Eglemore, even if I'm rooting for him, it would be awesome if Annie wanted to spar too. Then, her super-training from the psychopomps lets her beat up Jones. Yeah, unlikely, but I'm not crazy about Jones.

I just started reading GC yesterday, with the help of an afternoon-long Archive Binge. It doesn't look like I've started reading in the most interesting bit (it's rather infodumpy at the moment), but the earlier chapters are certainly very good (it's got one of the best constructed Chekhov's Armouries I've ever seen) and it's great fun being able to appreciate the Spanish bits with Mort (and it's got me wishing I knew more than 10 words of Polish)!

There's a "Ha Ha Ha" scrawled on a column. The last panel focuses on an empty alcove with a spiderweb. It confuses me.
