Does Boruto have good music? They just started dubbing it apparently and one thing you can say for Naruto, even when it went to shit, is that the music was awesome.
Maybe I'll watch Boruto. Although that means I have to finish Shippuden. Last thing I can recall is that obito was the Ten Tails and the dead Hokage were back....? I think I stopped there.
Kishi is so strange. Obito becoming the Ten Tails was horrific. His very essence is being torn apart and horrible agony is a good way to get sympathy for somebody. But then he gets back in control and more stuff happens. Like, why even bother.

I like obito as villian, specially is tenacity and somewhat heroic trope coming for him, he even use talk no jutsu on naruto and nearly succed!.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I got no prob with Obito compared to most people here and elsewhere. He's better than Madara.
"His very essence is being torn apart and horrible agony is a good way to get sympathy for somebody."
Well, he's not getting any sympathy from me. Obito can burn in Hell as far as I'm concerned.
He was nice as a kid and I liked Tobi back when he was obviously pretending to be dumb, but full villain him was quite underwhelming to me. Though that also ties into the whole Zetsu and Rin shenanigans.

I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysOnce again all this for a girl who barley gave him the time of day.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Being brainwashed by a senile old misanthrope probably didn't help.
Obito wasn't brainwashed. Madara definitely tried to manipulate him (and succeeded at least somewhat) but Obito was clearly thinking for himself.
I recall the point was made that he was perfectly fine doing things outside of Madara's plans more than once.
I think they mean brainwashed in the sense that he was a thirteen year old boy who went through something super traumatic and Madara took advantage of him in his hour of despair and of course Madara was the one who set up Obito's path to hell up in the first place.

Yes, that. I didn't mean brainwashed like mind control just grooming or manipulation. An old guy took advantage of a young kid who just had his face crushed.
Zetsu is why he's alive, right? Does having Zetsu in your body do anything to you?
From what I remember, its super likely to reject you and turn you into a tree since its made of Hashirama's meat.

@Slimcoder: He was the coolest guy though.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I'm going to be fair here. Obito and Rin are actually supposed to be best friends.
This isn't at all like a Part 1 Sakura and Naruto relationship.
Obito's still lame though.

"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."I honestly hate that twist that he was tobi. It turned a cool Magnificent Bastard into a lame whiny manchild.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Goddamn then Kishi dropped the ball there.
Kakashi Gaiden made it look like Obito was the 3rd wheel to Rin's crush on Kakashi.
They didn't feel like BFF's.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."@Slim The anime does a better job with it where they show Rin and Obito hanging out since the academy days.
Imagine if Hinata was best buds with Naruto and ended up on his squad but she pined after Sasuke rather than Naruto and Naruto pined after her but she was still super nice and supportive of Naruto.
That's basically Rin and Obito.

"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."His motivation is more or less that his crush decided to reject him. So he's going to be an over the top prick.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I thought it was her dying.
Well, his motivation is that Rin dying via Kakashi lead him to the realization that the world is hell. He went to travel the world while pushing Madara's plan and everything confirmed his viewpoint.
Obito, in his benevolence, decided that he was going to put himself and everyone else in their own personal matrix so everyone can be happy.
Rin, to Obito, was someone that wasn't meant to die so the Rin that died is fake. Kakashi isn't someone meant to break his word so he's fake too. And if he has kill Minato and Kushina to achieve his goals then so be it because he can recreate a better Minato and Kushina in his dream world.
I don't think his motive is incoherent for who he is. He's just a severely stunted man-child that couldn't deal with loss and got taken advantage by an old man.
So....Anakin Skywalker.

"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."They were both raised in intensely unhealthy communities, too. The Jedi way was no help to a person like Anakin and the Ninja Way was no help to somebody like Obito.
Monks or murderers, it's a bad choice either way.

Madara's philosophy is that life is a zero-sum game. If there are winners, there must be losers. The universe conspires against Obito to prove this as much as possible. E.g. he finally gins the sharingan he wanted but his body is crushed and so it's meaningless. He gives Kakashi his eye to protect rin with, but Rin dies (to Kakashi no less). Madara restores his body but he cannot move away from the Statue, and when he eventually can do this, he's too late to do anything at all. Everytime Obito gets what he wants, it destroys his reason for wanting it.
Part of what convinced Obito that Madara's plan worked, is that Madara simply demonstrated it to him, creating a powerful genjutsu that could not be distinguished from reality.
And so, when Obito sees Rin die and awakens his MS, his power activates and he slips through things. Even when he tries to touch Rin, his hand goes right through. Since the world essentially stopped feeling real to Obito, he basically concludes it's not actually real. Or perhaps more accurately, that since reality can be overwritten (just see Izanagi), one fake reality (infinite Tsukuyome) is no worse than the current fake reality, and he might as well get what he wants.
Madara puts a powerful seal on Obito that prevents him from going against his plans. It's sort-of implied that his attack on Konoha was a suicide mission, but Obito survived and spitefully carried out the plan because he had no choice, even though he still went against it as much as he could (such as not reviving Madara)
Speaking of Zetsu, why the damn hell has he not been playable in a Naruto fighting game? His ultimate jutsu could literally be like Kabuto's Dead Soul army from Ultimate Ninja Storm but with White Zetsu clones.
For recommendations though, you guys should check out Rock Lee and His Ninja Pals for its absurdity.
There's some interesting gags and character choices made.
I'll quote the part of the TVT Page:
Lee imitating other people's ninjutsu.
Lee's habit of using skits in the anime.
Neji being Dragged into Drag by Lee during his skits, complete with him asking himself why he keeps letting Lee do this.
Neji's strong, ahem, feelings regarding Hinata.
Whenever Team Guy participates in something, Murphy's Law will always, always, always be in effect. And it doesn't just extend to them; usually when they try to help someone they end up doing a lot more hurting (both figuratively and literally) than helping. The Akatsuki members using their most powerful attacks on each other and blowing up whatever location they're in.
Whenever Sasuke is brought up in the manga, it's followed by a very slapdash explanation as to why he defected from Konoha.

"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."If anything, Obito plan feel more compasionate for a "whinny manchild".
after all, he isnt bad against rin, neither hold a gruge against kakashi, he is not pushing the world like pain did, he just decide that reallity is shit and therefore he is going to change it.
I find that compelling, even if kishi overdid on the "You let rin die" aspect.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"
Really huh ?
Though huh have hinata and Orchimaru met before this. Can't remember.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."
