• Base-Breaking Character:
  • Shiho. There's a good percentage of the viewer base that doesn't think she's funny at all, particularly because all she's been doing has been actively mean to Yuta for something he did years ago. The fact that she doesn't seem to do any work at the restaurant doesn't help matters, because unlike Yamada from the main series, she doesn't have any endearing attributes to offset it.
  • Hana. Some find her ridiculous actions, antics, and interactions with Daisuke to be hilarious and one of the highlights of the show. Others just find her incredible dumbness, insensitivity, and inability to comprehend any concern beyond improving her cooking to be annoying and irksome.
  • The same could be said of any of the female employees, as the guys of this particular Wagnaria barring Daisuke seem to be unable to counter the domineering attitudes of their female co-workers.
• Moe: Hime is often considered one of the most adorable babies to come out of anime.
• More Popular Spin-Off: On the receiving end of this. It's not helped by the fact that the print version and its anime came long after WORKING!! wrapped up, leading some fans to think this was the spinoff series rather than the other way around. (Unfortunately for the anime, that's how it ended up being advertised.)
