• Fridge Brilliance: One chapter of Mass Mayhem contains a relevant passage from Chessboard, where Whitwell chastises Victor for a failure of some kind. Once halfway through Chessboard, the reader will know what the failure is, but it's also shown that Whitwell believes mass-murder is how not to remove the batarians as a threat. One imagines that the disaster conflicting with her beliefs, more than anything, is why she's angry.
