YMMV / Tyler Cassidy

Go To

  • Crosses the Line Twice: A lot Cassidy's comedy music released outside of his Froggy Fresh persona falls into this, though the songs are clearly intended to be darkly comedic and not serious expressions of his viewpoints.
    • Whole Lotta Gang Shit in particular seems to be written to take shots at and offend the sensibilities of as many people as possible, though it's played for Black Comedy and is obviously not intended to be taken seriously, getting progessively more absurd as it goes along. The first verse has him taking shots at both sides of the political aisle, Christians, and his parents (for giving birth to him), then pivoting to twist Donald Trump's campaign slogan into a line about having gay sex and how if he had a vagina he'd get as many abortions as possible. The second verse features Cassidy railing against Catholic priests, the government, and God himself, culimnating in Cassidy jokingly praising a school shooter as part of his Child Hater persona. The third verse then proceeds to describe the viewer's daughter's future sex life in graphic detail.
Liberal or Republican, well if you pick a side then you're dumb
You want Trump to grab your pussy, or Bill Clinton to cover you in cum
'Cause Hillary's a psycho, Christians are retarded, and Trump is a fag
And I wouldn't have to be here if it wasn't for my Mom and Dad
Make America gay again, make America gay as fuck
'Cause I'm just tryin' to meet some dudes and get my penis sucked
And if I could get pregnant, I'd have abortions like every day
'Cause if I had a pussy, it'd be so easy to get laid
    • Give A Ni$$a A Break is a fairly straightforward R&B song, with the humor coming from the fact that Cassidy (who is very clearly white) drops the word "nigga" approximately nineteen times over the course of the song.
    • When A Pitbull Sees A Baby takes the dark humor to the extreme, centering around the reputation of pitbulls being an aggressive dog breed and specifically referencing incidents where pitbulls have attacked children. A majority of the song is dedicated to comedic exaggeration of the more aggressive tendencies the breed has, but halfway through the song, Tyler clarifies that he's actually intending to sing the praises of pitbulls due to how much he hates children.
And if you're listening to this song, you might think it's a diss
But I actually love pitbulls 'cause of how much I hate kids
So I say pitbulls in every home, pitbulls in every school
And every single student could be used as pitbull food
    • Ian Garry features a number of lines parodying the titular MMA fighter's marriage to a woman fourteen years his senior, with frequent exaggeration of her age, with lines joking she's "at death's door" and has had "eighteen hip replacements and eight face lifts". However, the final line of the second verse features a line joking that Garry's relationship with his wife should have been a one-night-stand, making reference to an infamous hit and run committed by fellow MMA fighter Jon "Bones" Jones.note  Due to the darkly hilarious nature and clever writing of the lines, fans generally cite the following bars as the best in the song:
It should have been a hit and run, Jon "Bones" Jones
At least he knows when to leave a dying bitch alone
