- Awesome Music: Such an influential piece of music is bound to have some gorgeous melodies and arias, especially since these are new techniques that have hardly been used up until the opera's composition.
- Ending Fatigue: The entire third act is about Tristan dying and waiting for Isolde to arrive. It seems to drag on and on until Isolde finally arrives, and then she sings a 7-minute aria before she also dies. The opera is already four hours long, but the ending seems to take the longest time unless you have a really exceptional Tristan.
