YMMV / The Walker Brothers

  • Covered Up: Their covers of "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore", "Make it Easy on Yourself", "Love Her", "My Ship Is Coming In", "Another Tear Falls", "(Baby) You Don't Have to Tell Me", and "No Regrets" were all hits and are considered the definitive versions.
  • Germans Love David Hasselhoff: They were pretty overlooked in their native America, but were hugely successful in the UK.
  • Nightmare Fuel: "The Electrician", with its dissonant strings and bass pulse, and the fact that it's about a torturer.
  • Signature Song: "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore" for both the band and Scott's early work in general.
  • Tear Jerker: Plenty of their songs are emotional to the point of heartbreak, like "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore" and "Another Tear Falls". The rich orchestration sells the crushing sadness.
